Property's Favourite Review
We chose this hotel very last minute and by looking at reviews online. We wanted a motel that was on the water and was a small family run motel. There are many in the keys. Our little cottage was right on the water( I would not call it a beach) It was small with a mini kitchen and patio. King size bed in another separate room and nice bathroom. A/C was great. The only problem we had was the price. It was $200 a night. We stayed 2 nights. I did ask for the waterfront room but we were the only people staying there since it was just a few days after labor day so most people were gone. Seemed a little high. They did have a nice little breakfast of hot muffins and small frittatas and juice and coffee. Nice to eat out on the patio with lizards everywhere. There were lounge chairs near the water with umbrellas and a few hammocks. Also a little raft out in the water with chairs. They did have kayaks to use for free but paddle boards were for rent at $30 for 2 hours. Seemed a little steep. Very quiet place but it might get a little crowded on the water if it is full. Not enough chairs for 21 rooms. There were also grills for each room. Don't know if I would stay again just because of the price. Overall a nice stay and very quiet and relaxing. Both people at the office were very nice and friendly and gave us some good recommendations for restaurants.

This property is old and in need of updating, but is quite clean and well maintained, except for the TV remote, which was sticky and absolutely disgusting. Please clean it! The décor is mostly from the 60s and 80s, or earlier. There was a basic breakfast – coffee (no decaf), fresh muffins, yogurt, mini-frittatas. The linens and towels were mediocre and the toiletries sub-par. The water pressure was poor. We had to ask for a hair dryer and there was absolutely no place to put toiletries in the bathroom. There were no comfortable places to sit anywhere, either in our room or in public spaces, which was especially problematic when the weather is bad, which it was. It’s OK for a night or two, but (and we know the Keys are expensive) it is certainly not worth the price we paid. It was nice to have a mini-microwave and fridge, and the little patio out front was nice. Staff was very friendly and there’s a nice little beach. It actually kind of grew on us and we might go back if we were in the area.

My husband and I usually stay at the Hampton up the road from the Seafarer, but I was traveling alone and the prices there were much higher than usual. I found the Seafarer reviews and web site to be very appealing and I was not disappointed.
My room had almost everything I needed, including an actual stove (which I didn't need, but it was nice to have), plenty of space, super clean and really adorable. It's old Florida for sure, so don't expect a slick chain hotel appearance. The only thing I would have liked was a shelf or storage cabinet in the bathroom, but I already knew not to expect one from a previous review.
No matter, everything was great, the air conditioning was frosty, ceiling fan powerful, and enough outlets for me to work and charge all my electronics. I was greeted by super friendly Ron (I think), and a squirrel that ate almonds from my hand! I had also read about the squirrels, and they were adorable and visited every day. A nearby tiki hut had a perfect breakfast with egg frittatas, fresh baked muffins, yogurt, fruit and coffee every morning.
The kayaks are free, and I had no trouble getting one. Plenty of seating near the little cove/beach on the bayside and I had a table and chairs right outside my door. There are grills available as well as a small laundry room. The sunsets are magnificent.
All the staff I met were so friendly and helpful. I hated to leave! I'm looking forward to another visit. Thank you!

Spacious bungalows located in the middle of the greenery with (real plus) delightful small private beach.
Another plus are the numerous barbecues available to guests.
Breakfast offers a limited variety of dishes but of good quality (especially the muffins).
Adequate cleaning service.
To be recommended!!!

Clean well-maintained cottages in a serenely landscaped slice of Old Florida. Daily, they exchange the towels (the large and fluffy kind) you’ve used and remove trash. (It’s been awhile since we didn’t have to go to the motel desk and request new towels) Everything you need is available….. forget the insect repellent? They have some you can use. You can use one of their beach towels every day. BBQ grills and outside table and chairs are provided. The cottages are arranged so that each feels like a private space of your own. The beach is shallow for quite a bit; great for kids. But not too far out, it’s deep enough to snorkel. Our neighbors saw manatees a few docks over when they kayaked yesterday. We saw a dolphin swim by in our first afternoon. We got to chat with the neighbors when we all gather to watch the sunset. (Or you can find a private spot) The area has tiki torches, colored “spot” lights and tiki tables lit with fairy lights so you can enjoy the evening outside. The kitchen has all you need to make a meal. Bring your own coffee, though. Fillers provided. Management is on site and available. We really enjoyed our stay here. Central to tourist sites, about 2 hours to Key West.

It’s a nice place outside. The accommodation is to old, the accommodation needs an update very soon!!! Because it is old it’s difficult to keep it clean. A sink in the small toilet where you have to do shaving, brushing teeth etc. The brush for the toilet is hhhuuuhhh. The shower has a plastic curtain, not very hygienic, it’s not washable.
The old fridge makes in the room to much noise, you also have to sleep there. No place enough in the room.
The neighbors where busy in the garden and 2 whole days it was so much noise, big motor leaf blower’s where there from both neighbors, ppppffff.
There is one accommodation that’s new and right on the beach, this one looks much better than the one we had. We had the bonefish 3 nights.
Coffee is good.
We didn’t like the breakfast, fat muffins and egg things.
Staff are nice people.

We loved this place! So cute but also relaxed. Saw a manatee with a baby right at the dock ❤️. Beds were comfee. Plenty of pillows, and bedding for the fold-out couch was right in the room. Washer and dryer on site with detergent for a reasonable fee. The real reason we booked it, though, was that we need to cook all our own meals due to a host of dietary restrictions. We found the kitchen in our cottage fully functional. Full sized fridge, knife and cutting board, several pots and pans in good sizes (in good condition!), even a colander. There is a publix grocery only 8 min north on the main road that carries keto bread and ice cream, LOTS of gluten free specialty items, and lots of vegan / paleo stuff. We schlepped a lot of stuff down there that we could easily have bought there if we'd only known. Hopefully this review will be helpful to others.

We returned this year because we really enjoyed our visit. It’s a little slice of island paradise, reasonably priced. Each cabin feels private because each is strategically situated amongst the landscaping. At night, the lights and tiki torches are bright enough to keep it safe but not bright enough to make it daylight. Each place has an outside sitting area and a grill. They provide beach towels, grilling equipment, kayaks, coffee makers, and even an iron. Beds are comfy, rooms are clean, breakfast is delicious. The sandy beach area has plenty of seating to watch the sunset.

We loved our stay at Seafarer and feel like we stumbled on a gem! The resort is on the gulf side which meant much calmer, waters that were great for wading and playing in, which was especially great with our 2 toddlers (3.5 and 2) - it also meant we had a great viewing of the sunset. The whole property was very well maintained and the breakfast was amazing!
With 2 toddlers, the Seafarer was the perfect size for feeling like our kids were safe and like we weren’t chasing them around a huge resort. The beach area was perfect for playing in the sand as well as swimming.
The rooms were simple and had everything you needed. As a family that loves to camp, we don’t like or need the extra frills that we were seeing other resorts in the area offering.
The entire staff was also very communicative and friendly which is a huge plus!
We loved our stay at Seafarer and definitely plan on coming back!

If you’re looking for a charming old Florida experience, this is it. Small, simple cottage rooms that are clean and well maintained. Refrigerator and grill with a patio for each cottage was convenient. The beach area is small but very cute with tiki umbrellas, chairs, kayaks and SUP equipment. Morning coffee and juice at the breakfast hut but no food. Ice machine was out of order but ice easily available across the street at the gas station. Ballyhoo restaurant across the street was excellent for seafood and nicely accommodated vegan needs. Seafarer is not fancy but authentic old Florida. We loved it.

Don’t think so.
Sit on top. Safe travels and see ya soon.
Please God no. No one wants his poison stench when they are trying to enjoy nature. Ah, fresh ocean breeze - oh no - ruined.
Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. WiFi was not great but we were not there to work or play on our phones. I hope you had a good trip and are safely dealing with the new normal.
