What a lovely little gem of a resort this is. The accommodations are perfect and even though it is located off of the main road, you would never know. So peaceful and relaxing sitting by the water or in the water. Delicious fresh baked goodies for breakfast. Friendly staff and little animal friends too. I can’t wait to stay here again!!

My husband and I usually stay at the Hampton up the road from the Seafarer, but I was traveling alone and the prices there were much higher than usual. I found the Seafarer reviews and web site to be very appealing and I was not disappointed.

My room had almost everything I needed, including an actual stove (which I didn't need, but it was nice to have), plenty of space, super clean and really adorable. It's old Florida for sure, so don't expect a slick chain hotel appearance. The only thing I would have liked was a shelf or storage cabinet in the bathroom, but I already knew not to expect one from a previous review.

No matter, everything was great, the air conditioning was frosty, ceiling fan powerful, and enough outlets for me to work and charge all my electronics. I was greeted by super friendly Ron (I think), and a squirrel that ate almonds from my hand! I had also read about the squirrels, and they were adorable and visited every day. A nearby tiki hut had a perfect breakfast with egg frittatas, fresh baked muffins, yogurt, fruit and coffee every morning.

The kayaks are free, and I had no trouble getting one. Plenty of seating near the little cove/beach on the bayside and I had a table and chairs right outside my door. There are grills available as well as a small laundry room. The sunsets are magnificent.

All the staff I met were so friendly and helpful. I hated to leave! I'm looking forward to another visit. Thank you!

I actually booked for the wrong day, and they called me on check-in day asking when I would arrive. After a few very confusing moments we figured out I booked one day early on accident, and they changed my reservation, no fee or fuss. Incredibly thankful for that! When we got there we were given advice on what was available locally and what to skip out on. We stayed in the Bonefish which has a nice large deck and wash tub perfect for dive/snorkel gear just outside it. We took advantage of the free kayaks, which was great. The hotel has its own private beach with really shallow water perfect for splashing around (but not for snorkeling if that's what you're aiming for).

Overall, seriously great customer service, fun facilities, and an awesome laid-back vibe. Definitely want to stay with them again.

I brought my husband here for his birthday and we both loved it!! If your looking for a fancy resort, this may not be your cup of tea. But if your looking for Privacy, Cleanliness, an accommodating staff, lush landscaping, and simply to decompress, this is your place. In this age of Covid-19 and social distancing, we actually felt super safe here. Every precaution is taken by the staff. The cottages are distant enough from each other that you need not run into anyone if you don't want to . The small beach area is perfect for sunbathing and still cooling yourself off at the same time. The complementary breakfast was tasty, simple and hit the spot. Loved the mini frittata's and blueberry muffins that were freshly made! I literally asked one of my neighbors for a wine opener and not even 5 minutes later, Linda from the front desk actually found me by the beach to give me the wine opener. My cottage was pretty, simple, quaint and immaculate and super quiet (thank you scott for getting that for me). The grounds are clean, relaxing and full of nature to watch (take nuts for the squirrels), lots of woodpeckers, cardinals, and gorgeous iguanas. There lots of BBQ's available to use on the grounds along with kayaks & paddle boards available for all guests. Finally, you get what the keys are known for.... a magnificent sunset. Thanks to the Seafarer staff!!
We'll be back!

We loved this place! So cute but also relaxed. Saw a manatee with a baby right at the dock ❤️. Beds were comfee. Plenty of pillows, and bedding for the fold-out couch was right in the room. Washer and dryer on site with detergent for a reasonable fee. The real reason we booked it, though, was that we need to cook all our own meals due to a host of dietary restrictions. We found the kitchen in our cottage fully functional. Full sized fridge, knife and cutting board, several pots and pans in good sizes (in good condition!), even a colander. There is a publix grocery only 8 min north on the main road that carries keto bread and ice cream, LOTS of gluten free specialty items, and lots of vegan / paleo stuff. We schlepped a lot of stuff down there that we could easily have bought there if we'd only known. Hopefully this review will be helpful to others.

This is truly a unique place to stop and enjoy as you travel along. It is a pretty old school resort, with small cabins and suites that are nicely kept up and maintained. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Despite being just alongside the highway, it is very quiet. They have their own little beach, with lots of chairs for sitting on, both in the shade and out in the sun. Our bed was reasonably comfortable, and the bathroom, though quite tiny, was very clean and functioned well. Breakfast starts with quite good coffee, then there is an assortment of freshly baked breakfast frittatas and muffins, along with yogurt. It’s not the Marriott or the typical beach hotel, but is does give you a great example of what a resort on the keys would have been like, both in the setting and in the hospitality extended.

Clean well-maintained cottages in a serenely landscaped slice of Old Florida. Daily, they exchange the towels (the large and fluffy kind) you’ve used and remove trash. (It’s been awhile since we didn’t have to go to the motel desk and request new towels) Everything you need is available….. forget the insect repellent? They have some you can use. You can use one of their beach towels every day. BBQ grills and outside table and chairs are provided. The cottages are arranged so that each feels like a private space of your own. The beach is shallow for quite a bit; great for kids. But not too far out, it’s deep enough to snorkel. Our neighbors saw manatees a few docks over when they kayaked yesterday. We saw a dolphin swim by in our first afternoon. We got to chat with the neighbors when we all gather to watch the sunset. (Or you can find a private spot) The area has tiki torches, colored “spot” lights and tiki tables lit with fairy lights so you can enjoy the evening outside. The kitchen has all you need to make a meal. Bring your own coffee, though. Fillers provided. Management is on site and available. We really enjoyed our stay here. Central to tourist sites, about 2 hours to Key West.

Stayed here just a couple of weeks ago as we had booked a trip several months ago. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. We commented to ourselves that the bed was extremely comfortable - both my husband and I have back problems and none of those arose. We found out when we checked out that we had a brand new bed. The breakfast was really nice - freshly made egg frittatas and muffins plus yogurt set in an outdoor area. So nice to enjoy being outdoors. The site has a small beach area with free kayaks which we didn't have time to enjoy. Staff were all very friendly.

Seafarer is a real nice, cute little property. Beautiful beach and grounds with plenty of loungers, palapa sand tables at the little beach. There is a pier where we saw a mama manatee and her baby who hung out for hours. There was good swimming right there and the sunsets were amazing with a fun crowd congregating to watch it. Breakfasts were delicious with warm muffins, egg frittata, yogurt, juice, coffee and tea. Well done we thought. Our room was small, which we knew and were totally fine with it, just be sure you know what you are getting because there are a lot of different room types. Some looked huge and I’m guessing we’re pricier than ours. The room was very clean, freshly painted and had a nice shower. A/C is in wall and was effective on hot muggy days. Scott, the manager (I think) was a nice guy and was clearly working hard all day around the property. Key Largo is expensive and we were very pleased with price and the place! I recommend the Seafarer!

During the pandemic, I wanted a small resort with fewer people. It has a private beach only guests can access. I have two younger children and they lived at the beach. What's nice is the gradual water level. The kids can go out far and it's up to their waist. My kids had a lot of first-time experiences here: snorkeling, kayaking, and SUP. The sunsets at the beach were magical!

There was a mix of couples and families who came. Everyone came from different places and all were so nice. My kids always had people to play with at the beach.
The staff here is very friendly, helpful, and laid back. The decor was a tiki timeless tiki theme with lots of charm. There are a lot of squirrels, birds, geckos, and iguanas on the property probably because of the lush trees and plants.

Breakfast was served at 8:00 AM with a variety of muffins, mini frittatas, bananas, and yogurt, but coffee came out first at 7:30 AM. Just beware that the walls are thin and voices carry. Wi-fi was extremely spotty but you're on vacation, right?

What's really nice is all the amenities that come with this place and for such a good price. You really don't need to find another beach because of the activities offered and there are fish you can see if you snorkel. There's a school that lives under the dock. I would definitely come back again.
