The cottage is small. Like VERY SMALL. But it meets the purpose. We spent 1 night. It's near the water. Has 3 docks for use. The bed was comfy. Just not much room to move about. It met our needs as we were not there for the room we just needed somewhere to sleep. The views are great! No complaints.

Property's Favourite Review
We wanted a quiet restful two days in the keys. I looked on line at travel advisor. Knew it was St.Patty’s weekend. Knew I didn’t want a bigger hotel accommodation with lots of people—-a quiet sleepy cottage experience was what I was looking for. It’s not a five star accommodation, BUT all I wanted was a comfortable king sized bed, a clean room, good running hot water with a clean bathroom, wifi, and a color TV. The cottages were on the bay side. This place is perfect for our wants/needs. The outdoor location with their small beach and pier were perfect! We had our bottle of wine and cheese under their tiki hut as we watched the sunset. Romantic and perfect. We stayed at the 5 star locations, it’s not the money but the person you are with. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would come back again. Perfect value for our experience

Quaint property with friendly staff. The unit I had was at the front of the property, close to the road so there was a bit of noise from traffic. Think of it as white noise and it isn't too bad. The room was comfortable with very nice bedding and a comfy couch. Well appointed kitchenette. The cabinets could use a kiss of TLC but nothing that detracted from a wonderful stay. The beach area is nice and the views are spectacular. Absolutely amazing sunsets out there. Walking distance to great restaurants.

Pros: We stayed in a beachfront cottage. It was large. Had a queen bed and a pull out sofa. Full kitchen. Screened in patio with a table. Definitely an older hotel, but it was okay for our one night stay. Great waterfront area with multiple docks and seating areas. Very comfortable hammocks. Great view of the sunset. Many restaurants in walking distance. We went to Bayside grill for dinner/happy hours. Mrs. Mack’s right next door for breakfast. They have free kayaks, but we could not use them due to a small craft advisory. Cons: It took almost 30 minutes to check in.

This stay was the highlight of our trip. We stayed in a Cottage with 2 Queen Beds and a Kitchenette. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. There was WiFi throughout the resort. The highlight was the beach front and docks. There was ample sun beds with shaded areas available. The sea was clear with fish swimming around you. The sun sets were stunning! We used the free kayaks a couple of times to explore further afield. There are a couple of abounded boats we came across. The only complaint from our stay was that there was a couple of groups of people playing loud music down by the water on the second night, this was off putting and didn't go with the family vibe we experienced for the rest of our stay. I am also not sure if these people were staying on site.

My husband and I only stayed one night because it was a stop along the way to Key West. Our only regret is that we could not spend more time there! I was not expecting to love this property so much! The first great experience was with check-in! Rosa was amazing! We instantly liked her! She took much time filling us in on local stuff. She is very charming. We stayed in the Paradise King Suite which overlooks the water. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfy, facing to overlook the water. There is also a small kitchenette room with a large (not full size, but bigger than dorm size.) fridge and a microwave. The bathroom is very spacious and updated. Linens and towels are very nice. There is a sofa bed in the kitchenette room which we did not use, so we can’t speak to that. There is a small private porch with a bistro table and chairs and a rocking chair. (The porch does not overlook the water…it overlooks the property, which was lovely. It is a great place to watch the birds and admire some of the lovely foliage (orchids and frangipani.) There are several places within walking distance for food and drinks and a CVS pharmacy across the street for any needs that one might have in that regard. The property is lovely and inviting with a nice beach with plenty of chairs. There are decks out over the water with chairs. It is a perfect place to watch sunset. The guest did all gather for sunset. There is also a thatched cabana on the beach for shade seekers. The property offers kayaks which we did not use, but lots of folks did. All guests seemed to have a laidback attitude and very friendly. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their stay! There is also a grill or two on the property. We would now would like to go back for an extended stay! Things I would improve in our room: bedside lamps (if you reserve this room and you are a bedtime reader, bring a book light!) and a bistro table and a couple of chairs in the little kitchenette room. (It was raining when we were there and our only table was on our porch). There just didn’t seem to be quite enough surface space in that room. If it had not been raining, we might not have noticed. We seriously love this place!

We loved this resort. The cottages are small but very clean. It has an Old Florida feel to it. The property is beautiful. They offer free kayaks for two hour trips which we took advantage of. The staff is wonderful. They accommodated an early check in for us because one of our party was not feeling well. The location is great. We could walk to several great restaurants. All in all, it's a great place to stay for a few days in Key Largo!

Quaint little waterfront resort. Friendly staff, clean rooms, awesome beach and waterfront space. Many restaurants within walking distance. We were only there one night on our way from Key West back to Miami airport. Simply Charming! We would stay again!

We stayed in 119 which was close to the road do it was noisy all night. The AC was also noisy so we left that off. Ice is 25 cents, if you don’t have a quarter, see office. Keep this in mind if you arrive when the office is closed. The beach area is very nice, plenty of seats on the dock. Kayaks are free which is a nice amenity but they were all taken when we were there. I would still recommend as this is a quaint property and people are very nice. Room was clean. Restaurants are within walking distance.

Thank you for the review and feedback regarding your recent stay. While we have no control over the traffic on the highway as it is the only road into and out of the Keys, we can comment as to why we charge for ice. This is done to discourage the filling of large coolers, as this is a real concern in a community known for fishing and boating. Our kayaks are available on a first come first served basis. We apologize if they were all in use when you wanted to use them. We do hope to welcome you back and as always, thank you for choosing The Pelican.
