We stayed here because we wanted to do the kayaking through the mangroves and snorkel boat tour at the park. We are full time RVers and live in a large 5th wheel. The campsites are on the smaller side and very close together. We are 43 feet and fit in site 18, but it was a little uncomfortable because many people around us were in tents or smaller RVs, and maybe it was my imagination, but they seem to look at us funny like we don't belong there in such a big rig. We even heard people commenting about why would we need such a large RV for camping. I know people don't realize we're travelers, not necessarily camping. We work remotely and travel all over the country, and so yes our RV is on the larger side, but it's also our house. Anyway, other than feeling quite conspicuous for that reason, we really enjoyed our stay. The kayaking and snorkeling were awesome! Check in was quick and easy. Since we work remotely, good cell coverage is important to us. Verizon and AT&T both worked well, T-Mobile was a little slow.

Full hookups, clean, lots of activities. Well staffed campground. I feel fortunate that I was able to reserve a spot. Iguanas played in the back of our camp site. Some sites are more narrow than others, make sure you read each site description.

The boat was packed with over 50 people including people who could barely swim. So expect people swimming over you and bumping into you constantly. They FORCE you to wear a ridiculous life vest that makes you look like a clown. So forget any cool photos. And even on “the calmest day they have seen in forever” they wouldn’t take us to the Christ of the Abyss statue. Also wouldn’t let us wear weight belts for freediving. Everything was so safety orientated it was just a boring joke. I guess it would be great for a family with small children. But if you’re looking for serious freediving to see the reef you need to charter a private boat. This is for the masses.

The full-hookup sites are close together, but clean. Some offer good afternoon shade, but most are very open and sunny, so it can get hot. The facilities are well-kept by the staff. Close to restaurants and market.

wonderful campground and the park has many amenities... we loved our stay there! Cannon Beach is a great place for kids to snorkel... shady places for adults to sit and watch, and LOTS of iguanas to check out!
