I have been to the Keys many times over the years and always stayed in the same place. This trip was with someone who had never visited so I wanted a place that truly represents the Keys experience. A friend referred Bay Harbor. What an absolutely delightful oasis. Peg (Owner) and Johnathan (her son) are most gracious. Peg's fresh scones in the morning for guests a real treat. The grounds are immaculate and with every tropical plant you can imagine. We enjoyed sitting under the large covered Tiki Hut with comfortable sofa seating and tables. The sunset was beautiful from the private dock and beach. The rooms are extremely clean and the beds are a dream to sleep on. You won't be disappointed.
Our 2nd visit to this resort. We came back because the property is immaculate and the rooms are as well. Very well-equipped. Staff is so friendly. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Wonderful beach and kayaks included. Best place we have found in Key Largo
For those confused .. Bay Harbor Lodge and Coconut Bay Resort are the same Place. :) They were separate at one time, but now owned by the same family. We are a family of five who go on a big family vacation at least one time per year. I do lots of research when planning where to stay as this is one of the most important parts of the trip - to have a great place to stay in. My girls and I are very particular. The boys - not so much! HA As soon as we walked into our room (#21), everyone was very happy! Very Nice, Clean, Updated! Plenty of room for all of us. We love to have a place to prepare our own meals and have room to spread out. It was perfect! We spent a lot of time on the resort. It is great that the paddle boards and kayaks are included. We spent a lot of time searching for manatees, dolphins, and more. We saw a lot! Great pool that is warm. Jonathan (manager) is fabulous! He is so nice and accommodating! We were excited every morning to get up and see what flavor of scones were for the day! Best spot in Key Largo, way better than the larger resorts! If you are looking for a big beach, with lots of sand, and water to play in, Key Largo in my opinion is not the spot for that. But there are tons of great things to do and we are already planning our trip back! …
My wife and I have been at Bay Harbor for three nights now. Today we swam with manatees 50 yards from our beach. The bay is calm and beautiful. Rooms are clean and our view is stupendous. Staff is friendly. The morning scones are delicious. We were happy to discover Key Largo is only 1 hour from the Everglades National Park so we added it to our tip. This was a great place to spend a Keys vacation.
What a lovely family place to stay. Quiet, beautiful, lush surroundings. This family shows you their hospitality in so many ways from the fresh baked scones each morning to the delightful conversations with the family. Thank you for a memorable vacation.
