We arrived early and were greeted by a very friendly member of the Kona Kai team and was advised that our room had been upgraded!! We were then given a brief tour of the resort and found it to be a little piece of paradise, with immaculately kept grounds. Our room overlooked the bay and we couldn’t be happier. We had free use of the kayaks and paddle boards, but chose to spend our time relaxing on sunbeds situated on the pier. Our room was pristine and had all the amenities you could need. The bed was so comfortable and very inviting!! The staff couldn’t be more helpful and inviting. Overall we would 100% recommend the Kona Kai Resort and would definitely return.

From the moment we walked into this beautiful resort we felt welcome!! Thank you for that Deedee, Kathryn and Zee. Our lovely room felt like home away from home and the grounds are absolutely stunning!! We enjoyed the pool and really enjoyed taking the kayaks out to see the manatees. Four days was not long enough in this paradise - we will be back KONA KAI🩷

A slice of heaven, very tropical. Staff/ employees were very friendly and helpful. Property is immaculate. Kayaks and paddle boards are provided which was a huge bonus. I truly enjoyed my chats with groundskeeper (?), he was most helpful in sharing like in the Keys. We loved it and will be back!

Our stay at Kona Kai was nothing short of magical, giving us memories to treasure forever! It began with a warm welcome from Kathryn and DeeDee, along with plenty of expert restaurant and activity recommendations. The view from our oceanfront room (Breadfruit suite) was stunning. We took advantage of the kayaks (first come first serve) to do both a sunset and sunrise paddle on the tranquil waters of the bay. While we were kayaking, we met a family of manatees, as well as leaping fish and pelicans. From the shore, we saw other wildlife including iguanas, and a family of dolphins very close to the pier. The hot tub and pool area were terrific to relax in (and I usually don't enjoy hot tubs/pools). I felt very taken care of by Kathryn and DeeDee, who made sure that we were comfortable in every way imaginable ... in short, I cannot wait until my next trip back to Kona Kai!

We booked this resort quickly after reading reviews. However, We didn’t get to go, but their friendliness and customer service is second to none. I can’t wait to visit here and see how amazing the resort must be. The owners are FANTASTIC. Guest relations are to infinity and beyond! 🥰

If there is a room available BOOK IT NOW! I've been coming here for the last 5 years and only place I'd stay in Key Largo area. Adults only, quiet, yet quaint. Every room is different so always fun coming back and seeing the detailed differences Pool, hot tub, SUP/kayak, ping pong, hammocks, and bay sunset views make for the perfect vacation :) The grounds are immaculate and the staff has that southern hospitality your grandma would be proud of!

The best for a quiet and relaxing getaway! So peaceful and quaint! The resort is small but mighty in its amenities! You will feel like family from the time you arrive till the time you leave! After a couple rowdy days in Miami, this quiet oasis was absolutely perfect!

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this lovely resort. Kathryn, Zee and DeeDee were so helpful during our stay. Our suite was very comfortable and immaculate (thank you, Eliana). Scott does a wonderful job keeping the grounds beautiful. The pool and hot tub were refreshing and we especially loved our kayak and paddle board (complementary) adventures through the mangroves nearby. Every night, we were in awe of the beautiful sunsets from the resort dock and enjoyed visiting with other guests. We have already rebooked for next year!

The Kona Kai Resort, Gallery, and Botanic Gardens is a wonderful adult escape that we enjoyed for a week with friends to get away from the cold, wintery Northeast. The staff is incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. The accommodations were comfortable and relaxing and we were just feet from the water on the Bay of Florida. There are many onsite activities and the attractions and restaurants of Key Largo and the Upper Keys are all very close.
