If you love sailing, or want to learn, this is the place for you. I spent 10 days here last December with my daughter and son-in-law. The atmosphere is very laid back, the cottage was clean and comfortable, the staff warm and accommodating. The real bonus for us was the nicely-equipped Catalina 22 that's included in the deal as well as access to a Hobie Wave catamaran which was a blast to sail in the 15-20 knot breezes we enjoyed during our stay. there are lots of great restaurants in the area, some within easy walking or biking distance. If you want to learn to sail or improve your skills, there is a great ASA sailing school on the premises as well. Highly recommended!

We had a great time and will return. If you are looking for a fancy place and fancy boats this is not your place. Our cottage was clean, the bed comfortable with really soft linens and it came with everything we needed including a cooler and a big bag of ice to take out on the 22' swing keel Catalina assigned to us. They also have a ton of other toys (kayaks, bikes, a Hobie Cat) for you to use at no charge. Owner Paul and his staff were very easy to like and very relaxed about the boating. Although we have sailed small swing keel boats for years, we are not highly trained or highly skilled. I believe they offer sailing lessons for those who wish (we did not do any lessons). The bay you sail in is pretty protected and Paul has several easy trips mapped out to and around

This was our second visit. We love this place. The combination of a place to stay with the use of a 22' Catalina for our use during our stay is just too good of a deal. Our 2nd visit was better than our first because of the new management team of Scott and Oksana. They have improved the organization of the place and were so incredibly nice and helpful. First timers are always a little put off by the entrance and the cottages are a little cluttered and kitschy but the location is perfectly beautiful and Scott and Oksana are the greatest!!! We will be back again!

You get what you pay for. Keep that in mind when you stay at the Key Lime Sailing Club. It costs ~$250 a night to stay there, but $250 a night does not go far for lodging on Key Largo. (At KLSC there is a five-night minimum stay.) But we read all the reviews, and folks seemed to really like Key Lime, so we gave it a try. We disagree with many of the previous reviews. The Gulf front docks are not aesthetically pleasing. They are a mishmash of docks and amateur concrete projects. The KLSC grounds are nowhere near pristine; they are an extension of the junkyard that fronts the property. Since the “beach” area of KLSC is near the main highway, it is nowhere near serene. And there is absolutely no beach to walk. Our room was rustic, with funky beds and paper thin walls. We had

This place is great and supplies the only location with free Sailing options. Their Catalina 22’s are perfect day cruising boats and buttonwood bay is a great spot. Take advantage of their comfortable and relaxing catamaran. They offer sunset sails for a fee. Totally worth it. One tiny criticism is the mass of boats and stuff at the entrance. This should not discourage anyone though as the grounds are overall well kept and clean comfortable. We will be returning soon! Thanks to the team down there that made it a trip to remember.
