I had read reviews before booking, so went in with eyes as wide open as possible. After getting past the junk yard entrance and getting used to the "older" decor of the mermaid room, we kept an open mind and had a wonderful time. It's like grandma's old lake house ...mismatched furniture, plates, etc, but the kayaks, SUPs and fishing... More

Great sailing at KLSC aboard Latin Princess March 5-20, 2016. First few days winds too high to sail, small craft advisories but after that we sailed every day in Buttonwood Sound. Out to Duck Key we saw 25-30 dolphins in a humongous pod...or pods...but all together. Incredible!! The staff at KLSC are friendly, professional and lots of fun. We have... More

The Key Lime Sailing Club in Key Largo, Florida strives for a funky, Florida Keys experience. I asked my traveling partner if the Jungle Room where we stayed was the worst public accommodation that she ever experienced. She thought for a moment and said that it wasn't necessarily the worst (air conditioner didn't work, cramped bathroom with missing tiles in... More

Had a great couples trip at Key Lime! Stayed in the 2 BR Main House...very spacious! Great Buttonwood Sound location...Biked and SUP'ed everyday...Sailed the Catalina to Nest Key and Duck Key...Ate at Mrs Mac's and the Pilot House! Caught the sunset catamaran trip one evening and had coffee every morning waterfront! Nothing fancy, just a great Keys experience with a... More

We stayed in the Mermaid Cottage. The cottages are clean with a small kitchenette worthy of making small meals. There is no daily housekeeping but we had extra sheets and towels in our cottage and if you need anything the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The beach is kept clean and organized. We enjoyed the water sports equipment and... More

Stayed in the Jungle Cottage. These cottages are Florida funky. This is not the Holiday Inn. The cottages are clean with a kitchenette, appliances and TV. You get a BBQ grill and use of all water sports equipment. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is no daily housekeeping of the cottages. If you need clean towels or bedding... More

If you sail or just enjoy being on the water. The cost of these beautiful cottages on Buttonwood sound include access to about seven Catalina 22's, two Sunfish numerous paddle boards and kayaks. Numerous resturants/bars/supermarket,pharmacy all in walking distance. Cant say enough good things. Thanks Paul and Capt G!!

Key Lime Sailing Club is literally a hidden gem. Tucked away behind an overgrown boat yard to deter the idly curious, Key Lime is an oasis of rest and relaxation. We stayed at KLSC over thanksgiving for a family get away. Of our family of five, dad plus the two older kids are enthusiastic sailors, mom likes going out on... More

We had probably the best family vacation ever! We went during Thanksgiving weekend and had the time of our lives. The owners went way out of their way to make all guest feel at home. We even had a Thanksgiving feast with party and all. Because of unusual high winds we were only able to sail early Saturday but hey,... More

Small quaint cottages with the biggest fleet of Catalina 22's in the US. You can learn to sail here. You can hire a captain. This is on the bay side of the keys. So you don't have to worry about the reefs. We didn't actually stay in the modest cottages. But we did hire a captain for a wonderful day... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Key Lime Sailing Club and Cottages is located on the Bay side of Key Largo. What makes us unique is our cottage rentals come with a free designated 22' sailboat that you can use for your whole stay, also included is the free use of kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, dinghies, snorkel gear, fishing gear and bicycles. Sail to the Nest Key island and experience the mud bath on the beach, or sail towing your kayak, then kayak through the mangrove jungle into the hidden lake where you will see manatees. Plus we do Sunset Cruises on a 40' Catamaran for our guests once or twice a week at no extra cost! Rates starts as low as $175 a night on our low season, each of our uniquely decorated and themed cottages comes in different sizes with king or queen size bed as well as bunk beds, and a duplex which can be converted to 1 big cottage that can sleep up to maximum of 13 people. Please Note: We try to limit each cottage to 2 adults per cottage so if you have larger group, please book early so we can make appropriate accommodations, as we like to keep our place quaint and casual for all to enjoy, we have a total of 9 cozy cottages spread out over 1 1/2 acres of land and a back yard equaling 100's of square miles of islands and waterways to explore. ... more   less
