The sailboats included with this property are old but okay. The property itself is right on the water, but it's not really much of a "beach". Although they call themselves a resort, it's not a "resort" in the way one envisions a resort. It's an older, run-down cluster of cottages that used to be a men's fishing retreat; not much has been done to the cottages to change that. They are kept clean, but the owner can't (or won't) do anything to spruce them up to bring them up to modern standards. I have stayed at this property twice now within the past two years, and I wanted to give myself a second chance to like it, but I just can't justify spending my vacation dollars staying in these weird, hodge-podge cottages. A lot of guests don't really mind the funky, cheesy decor and

5 days at Key Lime Sailing Club left me wanting to stay for more! We stayed in the dolphin cottage. It was extremely clean and well equipped. At the Captains meeting we found out that we’d be on Aleena for the week. Can’t say more about that boat! Great memories! Jonathan was relaxed and helpful and Bob greeted us with a smile every day on our way out to the ball! Our choice as they are happy to bring your assigned boat into the dock. We sailed so much we didn’t have time to use any of the other fun water toys. We will be back. Maybe with the kids....if they are lucky!!

We had a fantastic time! Staff were wonderful. Our cottage was clean, quaint and had everything we needed. The sailing was amazing! The sunsets were the best we have seen! We cannot wait to come back.

Overall, we had an excellent stay and next time, will try for a cottage with a water view. My husband and I had done a fair amount of research, so we knew that the property and accommodations were basic and not high end but we loved the idea of sailing in the beautiful bay! Both of us commented on the comfort of the bed, soft bed linens and the cleanliness of the cottage. The boat was super clean, motor was reliable, and exceeded our expectations. We were very appreciative of the cooler and bag of ice in the freezer, plentiful bath towels and beach towels, and hair dryer. Suggestions for the owner: provide a small bar of soap in the bathroom and pepper grinder and salt in the kitchen. There are several restaurants within walking distance and a Publix supermarket is a five

We stayed at the Key Lime Sailing Club once again for 10 days. This was our 14th time there, felt like home. We spent 7 of the 8 days we were there on the water sailing. The cottage we stayed was clean and well maintained as was the boat we sailed. Thanks to the staff for helping us when needed, but also giving us the space we needed to relax and to enjoy everything there.

We enjoyed Sailfish Cottage enormously! Specially the outdoor shower! Cosy accommodation closest to the beach. Talofa the boat for our stay was easy to sail and great fun. We also enjoyed canoeing and took a trip to the mango swamp and canoed through - spotting a Mannatee on the way! Good places to eat within walking distance and we BBQd as well. We had a great time!

I just came back from a 4 night stay here. Are the cottages kinda funky? Yes. In the Captain's cottage, we had a bathtub/shower (enclosed with curtains) that was outside the bathroom, next to the little kitchen area. No big deal, we also had an outdoor shower. There is a queen bed in the main area, and a small bedroom with bunk beds. The lower bunk bed was blocking the door and we didn't realize until our last morning that it could be pushed back, allowing for the door to close. Oh well. There is a small kitchenette with dishes, some cookware, an electric stove, sink, microwave, toaster, coffee pot. You'll need to supply all pantry items yourself. There is dish soap and a sponge. The rooms are not cleaned during your stay (perhaps you can request this), but they will replace

If you love sailing, or want to learn, this is the place for you. I spent 10 days here last December with my daughter and son-in-law. The atmosphere is very laid back, the cottage was clean and comfortable, the staff warm and accommodating. The real bonus for us was the nicely-equipped Catalina 22 that's included in the deal as well as access to a Hobie Wave catamaran which was a blast to sail in the 15-20 knot breezes we enjoyed during our stay. there are lots of great restaurants in the area, some within easy walking or biking distance. If you want to learn to sail or improve your skills, there is a great ASA sailing school on the premises as well. Highly recommended!

We had a great time and will return. If you are looking for a fancy place and fancy boats this is not your place. Our cottage was clean, the bed comfortable with really soft linens and it came with everything we needed including a cooler and a big bag of ice to take out on the 22' swing keel Catalina assigned to us. They also have a ton of other toys (kayaks, bikes, a Hobie Cat) for you to use at no charge. Owner Paul and his staff were very easy to like and very relaxed about the boating. Although we have sailed small swing keel boats for years, we are not highly trained or highly skilled. I believe they offer sailing lessons for those who wish (we did not do any lessons). The bay you sail in is pretty protected and Paul has several easy trips mapped out to and around

This was our second visit. We love this place. The combination of a place to stay with the use of a 22' Catalina for our use during our stay is just too good of a deal. Our 2nd visit was better than our first because of the new management team of Scott and Oksana. They have improved the organization of the place and were so incredibly nice and helpful. First timers are always a little put off by the entrance and the cottages are a little cluttered and kitschy but the location is perfectly beautiful and Scott and Oksana are the greatest!!! We will be back again!
