I must say that I was disappointed in this particular room which was $420+ per night. The room itself which looked to be renovated was no more than a dressed up motel room. We chose this room for the deck and bayview. It was disappointing that the deck backed up to an open public stairwell and a trash bin. However, there was a bayview but with some foot traffic by the deck which is on the ground floor, by hotel guests so no privacy all the way around. Value wise, we chose the wrong room and would probably have been okay with a lesser room which I believe were going for almost half the price considering the above mentioned selling points for this room were not up to par. I would have given this an "average" rating instead of "poor" if it were not for the housekeeping details that were not acceptable. My indoor slippers were black and full of fibery stuff?? on the soles due to dust/dirt on the floors that had apparently not been wiped down. The bathroom fan did not work which made it extremely sauna like once you took a shower in the tiny bathroom. There was popcorn kernel on the surface of a dresser which kind of means it was missed during housekeeping. The door handle backplates and refrigerator door was full of prints. Well, you get the idea. The plus side of this hotel is the "beach" where you can sit and watch the sunset. Perhaps the other rooms were cleaner and the value was better......…
Great hotel for the perfect birthday getaway! Clean, direct beach access, and includes ton of activities such as kayaks, paddle boards, and bikes to stroll around the key. Highly recommend for a family getaway! *picture is early morning!
Charming conversation with a manager this morning. We thought we booked a room in the Bayside for the start of December - this was October 28. We discovered a week ago we had never received a confirmation email, and booked another hotel. Today we called Bayside, and the manager insisted that the hotel had sent a confirmation on Friday, October 28, at 5:05 pm, and forwarded me proof of that sent message. He said I should check my spam, trash, and emails - which I had done. I never received the message, so he said I should check my server. I have emails at the time which suggest nothing was delivered from Bayside. Why did he not offer to check his server? Our rental of Bayside is still weeks away, but the manager says thems the rules - he can't refund our money. Anyone want to stay December 2-6. I'll make you a deal.…
We just came home from several nights at Bayside Inn Key Largo and had a great experience! Check in was super smooth and the lady who helped me check in was fantastic. We had just came from another hotel in the Hollywood, Florida area where the customer service was terrible so it was a delight to have our stay at Bayside start of so positive with the check in progress and overview of the property. Room was very clean, beds were the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. I have back and neck issues and generally sleep terrible at every hotel due to the low quality beds. These were new, firm with just the right amount of softness. A huge plus for our family! Sheets felt of a high thread count and were crisp and clean. Husband and I usually wake up with a back ache while on vacation but neither of us did here, the beds really are great! The property and location are amazing here. Kayaking along side a manatee was amazing. Loved eating our dinner on the picnic tables out back while watching some of the most amazing sunsets. Nice to have SO MUCH SHADE on the property. No matter the time of day, there was always plenty of shade to avoid the daytime heat.…
This place was top notch. Nice beachside area down the back of the inn with deck chairs to sit in and watch the sunset or just enjoy a drink. There is a great restaurant right next door within 2 minutes with great food and live entertainment. Across the road is a convenience store, laundry, chemist supplying everything you need. The room was comfortable and clean and we just loved our stay here. Thanks for having us
My husband and I recently stayed three nights at Bayside and are already looking forward to coming back. It has a great location, wonderful amenities and an amazing staff! We swam, kayaked, paddle boarded and snorkeled. There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance and the sunsets are some of the best we've seen.
Nice little place. Staff was very friendly & accommodating. Cute little coffee bar with Starbucks coffee in the lobby. When we first got into the room, we noticed that it was not cool. The AC unit was blowing out of one vent and even then was cool but not cold air. I even gave it some time because we checked in around 4 o’clock which is in the heat of the day . Went to the lobby and asked for another room and was quickly accommodated. For the most part, the room was clean. It supplied plenty of cups, towels, soap and shampoo and conditioner but the floors were as if they had not been swept for a couple of stays and that was for both rooms. Bed was stiff but had plenty of pillows. It was a decent stay, I can’t say that it was bad but for $200+ dollars a night I, have expected “more” like a pool bar or an on-site restaurant.…
Pros: refurbished rooms, clean, comfortable bed, AC worked well, pretty sunset. Cons: there is nothing else about this place that justifies a $300/night price point. Room is refurbished but cheaply so. Laminate floors not adhered well. Shower fixtures already falling apart. No towels in the room despite asking 3 times. Tiny pool. Little shade. Several umbrella around pool area broken. View from room window a ramshackle hodgepodge of stuff in an outdoor shed in the lot next door. Staff not particulaly helpful. You're not going to get what you paid for here.
I spent a long weekend at the hotel with my family and we had such a good time! The room was neat, the view was spectacular, the free kayaks were a plus that we enjoyed every single day. Rebecca and Kat were great with us, accommodated us in a super nice suite after Booking - once again - made a mistake with our booking, offering what was not available. it was Father’s Day and my husband’s birthday so it was really special for us. Thank you so much!!! Hope to see you soon next month! Rocio
The hotel is simple but well cared for. The friendly staff made our visit special. The amenities include a pool, beach, a free access to kayaks and paddle boards! The restaurant Next door is 100% Florida Keys. The sunset rivals Key West! Free Starbucks, tea, and beach towels. What was supposed to be a night on our way to Key West turned out to be a highlight!
