Nestled in Key Largo, Bayside Inn is praised for its scenic location, offering guests easy access to nearby attractions and enchanting waterfront views. While the hotel's atmosphere is often described as delightful, with stunning sunsets and live local music, opinions on value are mixed. Some guests feel the costs outweigh the benefits, citing varying experiences with room cleanliness and service. The hotel's cleanliness generally receives commendation, but there have been reports of inconsistent housekeeping. Amenities like complimentary kayaking and a pleasant pool area are popular, though some visitors encountered issues with room servicing and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Start with the positives:
The staff receives praise for their friendliness. Free coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby along with the free kayaking and bikes were a nice touch. The garden areas were pleasant to sit in and the little beachpier area was a nice place to watch the sunset.
Location good with plenty of restaurants within a little walking distance. Next door was Snooks restaurant which had live music, good food and you get 10% off if you show them your room key.
Now the not so positives:
Room was simple, minimal, and fairly clean, but for entire week our room was not housekept until after 4PM with one day not done at all. Wear your footwear in the room or track the dusty floors into the shower. Low water pressure at the small sinkvanity and very noticeable in shower.
The pool was cool; the first day was clear but got cloudy as the week progressed. Inconvenient going to the office for towels. The cable tv was not consistent, a few nights only had limited (sports) channels. Several guests (we did talk) complained.
As for noise, you had better like roosters. From morning to evening there were two roosters competing for dominance all day. Roosters and chickens roamed the premises including the fenced in pool and lounging area. Several guests (we did talk) complained but nothing done.

Overall, with the pricing and adjustments made, which was appreciated, we give this place 3 1/2 stars

It was our first trip to Key Largo and we really enjoyed Bayside Inn. The room was clean and the king-sized bed was comfortable. We had a pretty ocean view room. There isn't a beach where you're able to walk gradually into the water, there is a drop-off, but the grounds are very nice and they have chairs all along the water, some in the shade, which makes it very relaxing. The sunsets are beautiful and the restaurant, Snook's next door, has live music that you can hear from the resort, which was a plus! We used their bikes to ride over to a nearby restaurant in the morning for some Cuban coffee and the free kayaks were a lot of fun. They have complimentary tea and coffee available throughout the day. The location is great, it's within walking distance to several restaurants, including a tasty Italian restaurant called DiGiorgio's Cafe Largo. The staff is great, too, TJ and Tamikia were kind and helpful to us. We loved our stay and cannot wait to go back!

We've stayed in room 208, with view of trees. I think most rooms will be mainly with view of some trees, as it seemed that only the suites at the back of the property, had water view. This room has been remodeled and looked nice and modern. Brand-new wall A/C worked well. The beds are full size not queen, so plan your stay accordingly. The room had a mini fridge (empty), a microwave. and a Keurig Coffee Maker with Starbucks pods. Tommy Bahama toiletries, like shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap was provided. Smelled so nice! The lobby has a very nice Starbucks Coffee machine for guests!

Key Largo or any other keys in my opinion are not known for beaches, so don't expect a beach paradise because is not. You'll have a dock and lounge chairs all for your self, with a small entrance to the water.

The water sports equipment is great! There's several kayaks, single and double seats. There's also Stand Up Boards. My highlight was kayaking and snorkeling, thought the snorkeling wasn't really that good, so you may try to find another location to do that. But I was still able to see baby barracudas either snorkeling or from the pier.
The Sunset is beautiful there, perfection location for that.

There's a lot of options for restaurants arounf the property and off-site. Though the Thai-Sushi Restaurant and Snook's is not part of the hotel, they are basically on the property. Snook's was mediocre, some food options were hit and miss and alcoholic beverages rather expensive, but you're paying for the location though. If you're a Margarita connoisseur, skip the "Snookerita." The lobster salad was under par, though the vegetables were fresh and refreshing, the lobster was more like the soft inners of a lobster claw, I think you'll know whatI am saying if you're into lobsters. I've noticed the chap next to me ordered the same thing, and his lobster serving was rather nicer than mine.

Overall, this hotel is great to enjoy the sunset and boating!

This was the first time we stayed in Key Largo. It was a short stay, but it was super nice and clean. The staff was super nice and helpful. I loved that Snook's was right next door. Snook's had the best bloody mary. I wish we could have had another day to explore the area.

The room was very disappointing. We paid for an upgraded room and were given a room with a view of a large LP gas tank and fence. The room was very small, it had one desk chair and a bed. No other seating area. The entire room was not clean, the handles on the dresser were rusty and just felt overall dirty. The plus was there was a Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby. When we asked for a better room we were told to come back the next morning, when we did that, we were told they are booked. If the room accommodations are not something you care about, it’s fine, otherwise you are better off looking elsewhere.

My stay at Bayside was nothing short of magical bliss. Upon check in, I was greeted by friendly staff whom were able to meet my every need, including recommendations of places to visit or activities to do. The room was very nicely decorated, clean and with towel sculptures, LoL, a first for ME!. Overlooking the pool and the Bay, just to sit on the balcony was peaceful and calming. Venturing down to the pool, there were the most adorable cabanas! Nature's creatures really coexist quite nicely and it's entertaining to watch the chickens or lizards running about. I spent some time waterside and whether it was the occasional sound of marine life jumping out of the water or the white noise of people enjoying themselves near by, I was easily lulled into serene nap. I also ventured out into the Bay on one of the Stand Up Paddle Boards readily available at no additional cost, but it was a little too windy for my comfort so I opted for the Kayak (also available at no additional cost). And when the occasional Florida spritz started, I retreated to the natural "umbrella" of the landscaping. I ended the day watching the sun disappear beyond the bay. Take your pick of waterside open air places to eat, I chose the convenience of Snooks right next door. Bayside was just what I needed to unwind and relax before a busy holiday season.

Despite the location (which is truly great) and the very friendly staff, the Bayside Inn Key Largo is a huge disappointment and not at all worth the cost. The rooms are tiny and lacking quality. The bathroom sink in the main area right next to the door (not in a bathroom) and the poor water pressure sure don’t help. Housekeeping was inconsistent (didn’t come at all one day because they were allegedly out of linens) and even though there is a mandatory additional “Resort Fee” that covers it, there were no towels (pool/beach or otherwise) one day. Speaking of beach, the advertised “private beach” is actually about 50’ of course sand between a couple rock walls and not very enticing. With a price easily twice as much as would have made it palatable…sadly, the recommendation is to simply not stay here. :(

Upon arrival we were told that we had to pay an additional $50 fee which was a resort fee. Not a good start. The room was clean and modern looking but we soon realized that our pillows were cheap polyester unsupportive and to make matters worse our bed was hard as rock and you could feel the Springs coming out. The next day May 2nd I spoke with front desk and the young woman said she would leave a note about the bed. I also told her that housekeeping did not replenish our towels or wash the dirty ones and there was not even a fitted sheet on the bed. She said I could come down to the office across the parking lot and get more pillows if I wanted them. Overall very unhappy with our stay here. For the money it was not worth it it would have been better to stay at the Holiday Inn down the road at least we wouldn't have horrible back pain for the rest of our vacation.

We initially had a room for one night, which we booked months ago. Thinking this looks like a great place we booked a second night. We knew from the moment we checked into our room this place is a total sham! Our premier island view was some trees shielding the facilities garage with ladders and a parking lot, worse yet right outside our window was a rusted propane tank. We had 2 well used towels and washcloths in our bathroom, I hunted down staff and asks for 2 more, those were fluffy and much newer! We booked also because they offered complimentary breakfast, but were never told anything about it so I called the front desk, they said that was advertised in an old tour guide and is out of date, I guess 2023 is a long time ago(???), so the they said they would remove the $25 a night resort fee, okay I guess that will work. Nope, the next morning my husband took a shower that was nothing but a trickle unless you turned it all the way to HOT, in Florida, after being outside!! He got dressed told me to pack up and he was going to the front office to let them know our dissatisfaction and we want the charge removed for a second night . The fellow at the front desk said the manager was in a conference call and he also told him that as long as he worked there they never had complimentary breakfast. He was wonderful in having our 2 nd night removed and the resort fee was also removed. This place doesn’t really deserve a star, when you scam travelers like this you should be ashamed of yourselves!!! To be fair the grounds I would rate as a 2 1/2, Beautiful view, but it is just a tiny spit of pier to sit out on and definitely not anywhere near the chairs they need for even half their rooms to find a place to sit. Stay away!

Just left this resort. After paying $1300 for 3 nights, we had a room with no hot water for showers, the floors were so filthy that when you did take a cold shower you left piles of dirt on the floor of the shower and the bath mat coming out of the shower, and the island view was actually the backyard of the property next door. so we had to keep the shade shut all the time for any privacy. We were offered a return on our resort fee (a whopping $75 dollars) but we haven't seen that yet.

I just returned from 4 wonderful days there ... No view from my room, but who cares? The beach/pool area has lovely views, with spectacular sunsets. We LOVED Snooks next door (every evening they ring a bell to celebrate the sunsets, and there's live music you can enjoy from Bayside Inn's beach, with your own beverages). It was perfect for a home base — centrally located — Only an hour south of Miami, and another hour to Key West — with so much beauty along the way!
