David was so happy and entertained. We love to Play with everyone in the pool! Everybody was really excited and happy. I hope to see more activities like this while we are staying here and also share with more guests ♥️
We stayed from 4/15-4/22. This I a beautiful resort. Close to beach and all shops and restaurants. Our room was large and very clean. Room N330 had a beautiful view of the bay. Will definitely recommend to others and will hopefully return in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay at this beach resort. A beautiful rooftop pool with bar and a 5 minute walk from the beach. Service was fantastic. We especially appreciated the great service from the Front Office Manger, Melessa Jones, she was very accommodating. Honorable mention to Daniela, as she was also great.
This was so fun for everyone in the pool. Dave was very helpful ( I’ve never played) and very energetic!!! We have already decided to buy the table. I would definitely play this again with friends and family
Why 3 Stars? Here is our story… We arrived early but knew it was unlikely the room would be ready so stored our bags in a friend’s room who had arrived the day before. They said check back at 3pm and your room will be ready. Well of course it wasn’t but check-in was 4pm so no big deal right? Wrong, if you can get your room by 4pm (check in time) consider yourself lucky because us along with several others were waiting in the lobby well after 4pm!! Next surprise, be prepared for a LARGE charge on your card that you may not have expected… If you book through the hotel side they charge $30/day convenience/resort fee, $35/day parking and then add on a $500 deposit which they don’t tell you about. The charges posted to my account were over $600 more than what my itemized bill should have been. In the end the bill was charged correctly but I had to get an itemized bill and then check it the following week to ensure it was correct. I would highly make sure you handle any issues prior to check-out because they are very hard to get in touch with via phone afterward. Prior to arriving received an error email saying my reservation was cancelled and it took probably 8-10 tries over 10 days for me to get someone on the phone!! First day after finally getting in the room, walking for dinner and then wanting to relax at the pool/bar for the beautiful sunset and evening when the temp finally cooled off we were told sorry the pool and bar close at 8pm. And get this… want a drink or food at the pool bar? Bring cash or card because you can’t charge to your room which they don’t mention at check in. I’m not sure about others but I typically don’t carry my wallet to the hotel pool/hot tub!! Speaking of the pool it is on top of the South Building so if you want to spend more time there than the beach then you might want to consider that in your booking. We only went to the pool once the whole week as it was just too hot to be on the roof top during the day and by the time we returned from dinner it was near closing. Views from the rooms are good but not great. We had a partial ocean view and to be honest that is all you could really get from anywhere on this property. If you want a decent beach view try to get the 6th floor on the North Building as far toward the East (beach) as possible. If you want a water view (ICW & boats) then perhaps the West side of the North or South building would be best. If you’re below the 5th floor you probably won’t have a great view of anything other than the surrounding buildings. 2 Beach chairs or lounges are included for each day on the beach through a 3rd party and you must book each day and then also pay for extras ($20/umbrella) if you desire. We had a large party (10 rooms) and they set us up next to each other as we arrived and paid every day but it would have been nice if they could have setup our group in advance since we told them we would be there everyday and would pay in advance for the umbrellas for 5 days. In summary, the Costa is a very nice property however I am only giving it 3 stars because while it has potential it falls just short of what it would take to be 4 stars. I would not even consider it being a 5 star property simply because it is not on the beach/boardwalk, the pool is in a less than ideal location and it does not have its own amenities (no restaurant or bar except for pool bar which is not associated with the hotel and closes early). It could easily earn a 4 star rating if they paid a little more attention to small details. Rooms are nice and have full kitchens however there are few amenities to use them. Plates, Glasses, Silverware & Utensils varied from room to room as it appears once things get broken they are not replaced. Most rooms are setup for an occupancy of 3-4 but none had glasses or plates for 4. We had to scavenge 3 rooms in our family to get a skillet, spatula, baking pan and working stove & toaster to cook breakfast. Likewise, while they do provide dish detergent there are no dish or paper towels so we had to use bath towels which apparently are already in short supply. The only day we used the dishwasher it flooded the room and housekeeping had to come clean it up. The ice machine on 6 didn’t work, nor did the ones on 5 or 4 so down to 3 to get ice everyday and while we don’t mind walking down the hall to the trash chute to empty our own trash, getting replacement trash bags could have been easier than calling down and waiting 3-4 hours! Why not have them at the chute especially since room cleaning is only upon request with 24 hour notice and they encourage you to not put trash in the hallway. Speaking of room cleaning… apparently the only way to get new hand towels and wash cloths is to get your room cleaned. When we skipped cleaning and called down to request a towel swap (also 24-hour notice required) we only got full size towels and when we asked, the staff would say we don’t have any and can bring them back which always ended up with us asking the house keeping staff for a few off their carts when they had them early in the mornings. Lastly, one reason our group picked this location was that it is pet friendly and several in our group had dogs. What they didn’t realize is that while the hotel is pet friendly the surrounding area, boardwalk and beach are not. No pets on the boardwalk or beach side and the other side is a busy street with only a few bushes here and there for pet walking. Would I stay here again? All in all the hotel is OK but with the options available in the surrounding area I most likely would not go back.…
I enjoyed my stay at Costa as my first timer and being local. I had requested a few things and I'm glad management Melessa was able to accommodate it without hesitation and did her best. One of the best and only condo hotel living in South Florida. Thank you Melessa for the sueprise amenities for my spouse. It a nice get away from home. We'll be back again soon.
here on a couples trip. just when the pool was getting stagnant, dave came over and asked if anyone wanted to play pictionary. it was a great opportunity for strangers to get together and enjoy a fun game together.
Had a great time playing blackjack with dave, super friendly & helpful. Definitely elevated our vacation experience. The activities bring a big sense of community & enjoyment for all involved. Thank you for the great time Dave!
