Monta and Peggy were the most accommodating host/hostess that Pat and I have experienced. The amenities were excellent but the personal attention given to us by both Monta and Peggy was so much appreciated. We are planning to revisit them early next year when the circumstances are a little less hectic than when we were there the last time. Pat /... More

We stayed a weekend to visit Gainesville and the surrounding springs. Monta and Peggy were very welcoming and had great recommendations for surrounding food and activities. Located within walking distance to downtown Gainesville restaurants and entertainment. The room we stayed in was beautiful and cozy and breakfast is delicious and homemade. Wonderful stay and hope to visit again sometime soon!

We stayed here for the first time in October, and it was absolutely lovely! The owners, the inn, the room, the food, the service - EVERYTHING was fantastic! We usually stay at another inn in High Springs, but that one was unavailable this year. We thought a different B & B would never measure up to those accommodations, but we... More

I recently had my first stay at The Laurel Oak in, after multiple visits to Gainesville over the past decade (for a music festival, where the plan was typically "lets find the cheapest motel, and how many people we can cram in it." - this time I wanted something a little nicer/quiet). This was one of the best lodgings I've... More

We have stayed at the Laurel Oak Inn about five times now and have enjoyed every stay. Monta and Peggy always make us feel at home and the breakfasts are always unique and delicious. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are the cleanest I have ever seen. The location is an easy walk to downtown Gainesville where there... More

I am not a bed and breakfast kind of person, but the Laurel Oak Inn is such a wonderful place that it may turn me into one. I was placed there when I came to give a talk at the University of Florida and the stay was just incredible. The highlight of the place are Monta and PEegy, the owners... More

Lovely bed and breakfast in beautifully renovated Victorian Florida home. Not too far from University campus and downtown Gainesville. Walking distance for hearty souls, or an easy drive. We enjoyed the conversation, restaurant recommendations, a glass of wine at cocktail hour, and the warm welcome we received. Very comfortable room, and beautiful wrap-around porch. Highly recommended.

The Laurel Oak Inn is a beautifully restored and well-maintained bed and breakfast with lovely grounds. The hosts Peggy and Monta were very welcoming and made breakfasts that could be featured in a gourmet magazine. The bed was extremely comfortable and they provided fluffy towels and fragrant shampoos and lotions. The inn is conveniently located in Gainesville near restaurants, theater... More

My husband and I stayed overnight on our way down to southern Fl. We were not disappointed! Lovely clean room. Nice porch and grounds. Walking distance to great restaurants, Paramount Grille being one of them. Enjoyed our stay. Will be back!
