Charming B&B in lovely surroundings. Even in the depths of winter there was a very warm welcome and a great breakfast to start the day. Easy commute to Lincoln for the Christmas Market. The owner, Richard, was most helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would have been excellent but for the creaking bed which, being a light sleeper, was...

For those people that have wrote a negative review about this place I feel that they must have got serious issues. It can't be faulted. The breakfast was top quality and superbly presented. The establishment is extremely tasteful. The hospitality is second to none. The grounds are picturesque. Bless him Richard even took us to collect our car from where...

I was looking for somewhere special to stay near to Lincoln - and I found it! Fir Tree Cottage B and B is wonderful. The whole experience was perfect, from the friendly and helpful emails when booking, to the warm welcome on arrival and of course the stay itself. I was offered a choice of their two rooms (so I...

What a lovely little jem we have found. Great rooms, great owner, great breakfast. Just a great place to stay. Nice and clean with a great bathroom. We had the balcony room and enjoyed drinking a morning tea and taking in the beautiful surroundings.

We were attending a friend's party and booked this BB as it was near to the venue. It's much more than a convenience it's beautifully presented, great value for money and full of charm. If you are in the area or not it's worth a stop over.

We stayed at the cottage for three nights. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent, friendly and efficient. The room and bathroom were nice and clean, our room had a very nice balcony with a garden view, perfect for tranquil moments with a glass of wine and a book. The location was convenient to visit both Sherwood Forest...

I stayed for 1 night, the setting was stunning and peaceful. Richard and Alison could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Various breakfast choices were offered and the earl grey was perfect in a china cup and saucer :) Would definitely stay again. Thank you

I stayed here for 2 nights not knowing the area. It was more than I expected. The room had a balcony overlooking the garden and was lovely to sit there although wrapped up being winter when I visited . The food was excellent and the cottage very cosy. As a woman travelling alone I felt safe and would definitely stay...

Thank you for taking the time to write the review, it means a lot when people show their appreciation in this way. We do try to put ourselves 'in our guests' shoes' so to speak to make sure we do our best for people when they come to stay, just as we would like when we go to stay elsewhere....

Myself, my 4 month old and a friend stayed in the Gainsborough room and had a lovely time. Idyllic setting, beautiful, clean well presented rooms, warm, kind hosts, delicious breakfast and reasonable rates. Thank you so much to Richard for going above and beyond. I will definitely be back to stay here again.
