Took our two kayaks down for a weekend of paddling. Found this place on the web while looking for a convenient location. Host was very nice and super accommodating bout check in times and had it all ready for us. Even called us to verify we were still coming when we were running late. Cabin was spotless, grounds were very...

If you are looking for a change of pace and to get away from "typical" trips-this is your place. The website is spot on with their images of what to expect related to: accomodations, river and facilities in general. May was my 2nd visit-thunderstorms prevailed, but we still managed to get in a cool 4 hour paddle. Went nearby for...

Way over priced. The "Luxury Cabins" as the website advertise's are extremely small. The large cabins include a "bedroom" that is about 12'x10' and sleeps 5 people! There are 2 sets of bunkbeds & that's about it in it. They say these cabins can sleep 6 - yes , but you'll be on top of each other. There are cobwebs...

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the mixed reviews on this site that span from 2007=2009. First of all, this is a rustic, outdoorsy spot - no frills. They have modern cabins that are clean and comfortable. If you are looking for an outdoorsy camping-type experience (and if you'd rather you can bring a tent or rv) this...

Stayed in a cabin for the second time in 6 weeks with a family and friends. Joe and Val are the bests hosts, from the spectacular canoe trip they offer to the personal tour of the wildlife on the grounds, to the Father's Day Rib and Chicken Barbeque they provided to all the guests. If you love nature and really...

When I go to a place like The Outpost, I like to have fun and relax. That is what I got to do. We went on the 8 mile trip and had fun, to me the traffic was ok not like the large cities, nature can be heard if you stop and listen to it. I have been to many...

Me and a party of 15 come to this camp site ranging from the ages of 6 years of age to 60. We are all good friends and thought that we would go camping. Well the hospitality that we were shown was un believable. They lied to us from the beginning. When we called to reserve a cabin and two...

State parks have more accomodations then this place! Not worth anyone's time or money. There are many other accomodations close by that are the same price and much nicer to say the least! The lady who checked me in smelled like a she had been drinking. There's no bathrooms or showers to speak of except for tenters and pop up...

This camper did not at any time bring any complaint or voice any problems to myself or to our staff. If there is a problem we have to know about it to fix it. We are a small facility we don't have the amount of resources provided by the state parks services, and we do provide a bath house for our...
