The only redeeming quality about this hotel was the location and the staff being super friendly and accomodating. The hotel itself seemed less than decent. I was travelling solo and meeting friends in the cruiseport the next day. I arrived here around 9:30PM exhausted for check in, and the girls at the front were super warm and welcoming. They do hold a large deposit on your card for any damages. I was given a room right near the elevator on the 3rd floor . I walked in and tried to deadbolt the door and the door would not lock as it looked like someone had tried to kick in the door and broke the door in half. I instantly felt uncomfortable and went back downstairs asking for a new room. They gave me a room further down the hallway by the stairs on floor 3. This room was much better albeit near the front of the building and had a random deadbolted door/closet on the stair side of the room that seemed out of place. The room was super spacious and lots of room to move around. Room was okay, decent electric charging areas, clean and basics like TV, large king bed, desk, couch and loud AC (which i enjoy for noise). The windows do open and soap is provided. On check out myself and a group with children waited and waited for the elevator that appeared to not work. after about 8 minutes of waiting i decided to walk down the stairs and the poor folks had to finagle a stroller down the stairs. Breakfast was decent albeit the tables were awkward to sit at. I noticed that the pool was at the far side of the back of the building and across the parking lot, NOT attached to the building. There was a keygate that only allowed guests to access, however I wouldn't have gone alone, seemed dark and creepy at night, and if I had children this would have been a concern. Not horrible place to stay, but just be cautious like anywhere else. Close to Dollar Tree and other restaurants if you forgot anything. about 30 minutes to Fort Lauderdale Airport, 30 minutes to cruiseport.

The staff was friendly, outside appearance was very nice and while the rooms appeared clean, there was a smell like wet dog that turned your stomach. We had made reservations for 2 days, while we plan to return to Ft Lauderdale, we will not stay here again simply because of the horrible smell and the "breakfast" that left much to be desired. However, the pool was nice, the location was very convenient and bed was comfortable.

Purple walls with black furniture and white sheets. What a color scheme. i browsed a few hotels in this range and this one is unforgettable because of the colors. We only stayed one night - passing through so thought for the price and location, this is good value.
We only used the room - slept through bf so couldn't comment on the bf. The room was good, clean. everything met our needs except if i want to pick on it, the reception wasn't very warm. the african american young man seemed less than enthusiastic to receive guests past midnight.

If you are a lover of dimsum, make sure you make some time to check out the best dim sum in Ft Lauderdale "Hong Kong City Barneque" (very good food but so so service by the old chinese man) not far from hotel.

I made a reservation at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fort Lauderdale Tamarac location for October 7, 2023. I called and confirmed the reservation explained our flight did not get in until after midnight. The woman confirmed the reservation and said our room is ready for us. When we arrived we were told they were sold out and no rooms available. After 2 hours of calling around and finding out all other hotels were sold out in the area (now at 2:30 am) due to a sporting event close by, the front desk woman said she’d rent us a room that hadn’t been cleaned. She would give us cleaning solutions and new bedding to swap out with the bedding that had been used by the previous guests. Now being October 8th she made me a new reservation and charged me more than even my previous reservation of $128.28. It was that or sleeping in the street so we took the cleaning supplies and bedding. At 3 am my girlfriend is now cleaning the toliet and shower. The sinks. The nightstands as I change out the bedding. Finally we finished got some sleep. I brought back the two cleaning solutions to the new front desk woman Chandele I believe her name was. She was in amazement and said it was unacceptable. She showed me that there were actually five clean and sanitized rooms available so this should never had happened. And due to OSHA regulations and the room not being sanitized she should have never given us the cleaning products and the staff should have gone to clean themselves. I told her how we sat there for hours distraught, how I called and confirmed and was assured my reservation was confirmed. Chandele informed me yeah I see your reservation she just gave your room to someone else. I asked for my 128$ to be refunded and she said I would need to speak to the manager Kahn. I have tried to speak with him for the past week but he is always “in a meeting” and never returns my calls or cares. I’ve left my phone number & email. No response.

It´s not ok to advertise breakfast when the hotel has not serve a single one in a year. that´s just a felony. From about a year, and acoording to the staff the hotel does not have restaurant/cafeteria service, nevertheless it appears as "included" in the fare. I book through booking, (useless), and nobody was repsonsable for that

This used to be a fairly nice place to stay. Unfortunately it is now run down, dirty, and they have a major cockroach problem. With as expensive as this hotel has gotten ($850.00 for 5 nights) and with the hotel full every night, you would think that they would spend a little money getting it back to an acceptable standard. We can generally handle a little dirty, but we can NOT handle the amount of cockroaches that we saw. We will no longer stay at this hotel.
Also, this hotel location has become unsafe requiring security to stand outside. This is not an area you want to be after dark due to the amount of people loitering around the property.

Poor rating. Unsafe stay for women. Unkept, no soap, and not welcoming! Hotel ran out of soap and I had to leave my room to get a shower gel to wash my hands, while going down to front desk, I was confronted by a drunk guest, took the same elevator back up with me, he had at least two bottles of beer in his hands. Front desk shared she was the only employee on for the evening.

I booked this hotel through hotels.com and then tested positive for COVID-19. Hotels.com tried to advocate for me to get La Quinta to give me a refund (because I obviously had to cancel my travel plans) and this La Quinta refused! Plus, my request to cancel was made early in the day with plenty of time for someone else to book the room, and it was a holiday weekend and they were fully booked the night before. I bet they collected twice on this one room. Shame on you for exploiting COVID for profit!

The only thing that went well was the breakfast and room. Everything else- no! I couldn’t utilize pool and the appearance of the hotel was not great. Need to change the carpet so your guest could have a good experience and feel like they are actually on vacation

The hotel for the most part was clean but having water issues is a problem in a hot environment. Staff was pleasant. Location of food items to dining area was a problem when you have guest check-in and out. Breakfast could be more organized. There were no towels in the pool area and the pool didn't seem to be cleaned often.

It's about a 20 to 30 min drive to the port depending on traffic. Don't know how much a taxi would cost because I had my own vehicle there. If you call the motel they could probably tell you.
