Detailed Reviews
We picked this place in a hurry when we left a hurricane zone to get some safety and normalcy, then drove 3 hours hoping that we weren't going to be in a roach motel. What a wonderful surprise! This is anything but. Our spacious room and the grounds were immaculate. We easily slept 5 with 2 double beds and a pull out couch. The kitchenette (mini-fridge, microwave, sink, dishes) had its own little alcove. There are so many of these little hotels scattered across Florida, and this one is so tastefully renovated and updated. Love that they preserved the terrazzo floors. Our host was amazing, and gave us lots of tips on places to eat, and things to do while we waited to go home. The wi-fi is solid, too, which was much appreciated. Overall, we were so comfortable and we would absolutely return to check out Fort Lauderdale on vacation.
The location was so central, and we were able to easily get anywhere we needed, or even walk to an amazing Italian restaurant, a great little coffee shop, and delicious ice cream.

This is a wonderful piece of South Florida history! The setting is tropical, location is 1 block from several restaurants- including ice cream parlor and mini-convence store within 50 ft of hotel, nails, hair, tattoos, liquor store, neighborhood bars, etc.
So the hotel has 40 rooms on only 2 floors, last renovated in 2014. All rooms exit into a courtyard surrounded by privacy fence. The 3 gates have coded locks to ensure privacy and safety.
It has a 4' 8" pool with 2 entries, jacuzzi, laundry, ice, free wifi and kitchenettesl). The pool and spa are in center of courtyard.
It does not have breakfast, room service, or on duty attendant after about 7pm. This makes the stay so peaceful! Every room has a back up key on site available in courtyard lockbox wall! Coming from the queen of leaving without the key, This is genius!! No wait, no need to contact front desk.
Meanwhile all facilities were well kept and clean. I always bring lysol cleaning wipes & spray. I didn't find a use for the wipes anywhere!
The fold out couch was very uncomfortable as a bed- bring topper, duvet if sleeping on it.
If you want to use pool or spa, ask Billyfor extra towels at check in.
Listen, Billy is the key to the hotel, the local area, and will guide you according to your trips purpose or type from parking to available place for everything! He mad emergency feel at peace in a high energy town.
This is how a hotel stay used to be, and should be!

The hotel is nice and cozy, located in a residential neighborhood, about 25-30 minute walk to a municipal beach. As anywhere in Florida, you DO need a car to get to places , to feel safe and to be able to fit in. There are no pedestrians walking (as most anywhere in Florida), although there are sidewalks presents along side the hotels and you can use those to get to the beach and few other places.
Walgreens is about 10 minutes walk on foot, there are good restaurants and grocery stores nearby along with Publix and trader Joe's (you do need a car to get there).
The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. AC works well , water pressure is decent. We enjoyed the swimming pool, which was small yet pleasant and clean. The hotel provides beach towels, beach lounge chairs and umbrellas at no charge - very nice!
As far as negatives. The lobby closes at 6pm, which is not a big deal UNLESS you encounter obnoxiously loud next door neighbors that stay up partying all night. There is no security to call, no one you can complain to. So you either suck it up and hope that they'd eventually come down and go to bed or you go there and deal with the mess yourself - not safe and not necessarily successful.
Overall, I might stay there again (given all the positives), but would prefer trying out some other hotel maybe closer to the beach

This is an older style hotel conveniently located to Galleria Mall, the beach, supermarket and restaurants. There is a pool, but not a lot of hotel facilities and currently no restaurant, which is not important as there are several with just a few minutes walk. My room was spacious, well decorated and extremely clean. There was a safe and the modern air conditioning made no more noise than any other. There was a refrigerator and a microwave and the wifi was excellent. The staff are polite and friendly and I would definitely stay here again. There is free parking as opposed to nearby Gallery One who charge in the region of $50 a night.

Billy was an AMAZING host. He was very welcoming and even provided me with recommendations of places to eat. Pulled out the map to show me how to get to different places with consideration to me being there alone. His customer service was above and beyond. I appreciate him! Additionally, the property itself is in a very safe and quiet location. The beach and nightlife was a 7 minutes drive but far enough to appreciate peace after a day or night out. The property is also secure which is great for those traveling alone.

Without question this is the place to stay in Ft Lauderdale if you seek a relaxing retreat that's near the city's fabulous beaches and its vibrant Las Olas Blvd dining & shopping district. From the warm, helpful welcome at reception; along the peaceful lush grounds; to a charming classic Floridian room - it's all an enjoyable oasis. The hotel offers clean functionality and charm beyond what is reflected in their value pricing.
What made our stay exceptional was the outstanding service and generous treatment the front desk team and manager provided. We had booked a several day stay at the least minute to escape an approaching catastrophic hurricane on Florida's west coast. Uncertain of when our home would be livable post storm, we waited and watched the situation evolve day to day. The day we received word we could return home the manager saw to it our quick mid-day departure was without hassle or extra charge. We felt incredibly fortunate to be at the Victoria Park Hotel in this case, with a team that provided a level of guest service that would be exceptional in the best of 5 star hotels - which illustrates well that in the end it is the fine people at a hotel who make all the difference.

My wife and I fled the frigid Northeast for a few days to visit friends and family in The Fort Lauderdale area. After much research we chose The Victoria Park Hotel for our accommodations. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen area sufficed for us to prepare our breakfasts and lunches. It's about a mile to the beach and on the way you pass a state park well worth exploring. You will also find a Publix supermarket, a shopping mall with Macy;s as its anchor store, and a Starbucks.
What I appreciate most or might I say who I appreciated most was Billy, the hotel manager. He was a very service oriented residence manager. Anything reasonable we asked for was provided in a timely manner with a smile.
Hotels can make or break holiday excursions. This one made our vacation.

The hotel is exactly as depicted in the pictures. The pool area is lovely . The rooms are quite small but more than adequate with bathroom , shower and large bath . We had a small kitchenette too! The rooms are clean and tidy . Unfortunately during Covid they stopped providing breakfast and drinks but these are scheduled to start up again next month. The hotel is centrally located near a mall and restaurants nearby . It’s about a 15 min walk to the water taxi station number 7 , which is the best way to get around , with las Olas close by . The reception staff, particularly Billy , are absolutely superb, the best customer centred staff I have ever encountered. Thank you !

Stayed here for one night. Host was lovely at check in and recommended places to eat/drink before showing us to our room. The room was spacious and clean, however, there were many small flies in it. Car parking is available on the street at front and side of hotel. Restaurants and bars are near by and beach only 20 min walk away.

This hotel is a pure gem. Our host Billy went above and beyond to ensure our short (3 night) stay was extra special.
The rooms are large, clean and contain all you’d need.
The pool, pool deck and spa were spotless also.
The location is great too with bars and decent restaurants very close by.
Parking never posed us a problem at all.
Nothing was too much trouble for our host.
Very many thanks.

The hotel has no parking of it’s own, but you can park on the streets outside without any charge.
Definitely yes
Yes, there is a small heated pool and a small jacuzzi.
I've never read anything like that. I have read however that it use to be the home of Barnum & Bailey Circus. The performers stayed here when they weren't on the road.
