Excellent location close to restaurants, gas stations and walmart. Friendly but incompetent staff. Appears that renovations were not completed. Spacious room with a comfortable bed but Two nights was enough for us. Safety was a concern the door did not lock properly. There was a Mysterious package above the suspended ceiling grid just outside the bathroom. This was immediately communicated to the front desk person but nothing was done about the mysterious package or the dead roach next to it. Broken fixtures, Non-working lights. breakfast was limited to white toast, cereal coffee. Not enough towels, No shampoo and one day soap. Thankful to be alive the next morning.
The Knights Inn in Florida City was perfectly adequate for my wife and my travel needs while passing through on vacation in southern Florida in August 2019. The location of the motel is very convenient on US Route 1 in the center of town. The price was very reasonable and affordable, better than most other motels that I checked in this area. Check in and check out were easy and the front desk attendant was pleasant. Our room was clean, the A/C worked very well and the entire property was clean and well kept. The pool was in good shape but did seem to be a little low on the water level. Breakfast was good and consisted of cereal, toast, cinnamon rolls, orange juice, apple juice, milk or coffee. I did like the semi-retro architecture of the motel. It looks like it may have been built back in the 1960s or 1970s as another name motel but appears to have been remodeled and updated at some point. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.…
Due to several delays on our drive to the Keys, we ended up needing a room. We pulled in to the Homestead Knight's Inn at 1am, exhausted and cranky. The front office clerk was wonderful. She made us feel welcome and at ease. The room we were given was incredibly clean and secure with fresh linens. The bed immensely comfortable. We felt secure leaving our car/trailer/motorcycle in the parking lot, with the additional security cameras. I highly recommend this.
I'm pretty easy to satisfy, but this was pretty bad. As I checked in other guests were complaining that there was no hot water. The clerk explained that a lightning strike broke the water heater and caused another guests' tub to explode! I stayed three nights and never did get hot water. Thank goodness for the warm pool! The included breakfast was toast, cereal (but had to ask for milk) sometimes juice and sometimes coffee. No tea. No shampoo and one day no soap. Pay a little extra and stay at a real motel. Wi-fi was spotty at best.
Disgusting. Truly wretched place top to bottom. No hot water, Multiple roaches spotted in 1 day, Towels with pee and blood stains, Rundown rooms, Nasty people staying here, Spotted drug dealers and even a prostitute. Bad internet and horrible owners. For the love of christ STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. It blows my mind that its not shut down.
This place is so nasty! Attitude of every single employee is just as nasty!! I never seen such disgusting rooms in my life! They never changed or washed the blankets or sheets. They claimed they had only two days they specifically washed blankets. Sheets and pillow cases but that never happened once!! They barely had any wash clothes, towels to even give us. They smelled rotten. The house keepers are extremely nasty and rude! I stayed 10 days and regretted every moment of it. Me and my husband had to clean our rooms everyday. Dump our trash ourselves. Sweep and disinfect everything ourself everyday we stayed. Housekeeping was the worst. The manager was extremely rude and didn't care about our complaints...and almost made me want to slap the life out of them quite a few times. I had surgery during my stay in Florida and was so worried about getting an infection from the dirtiness. If I hadn't paid for my reservations I would of never stayed. They wouldn't even refund my money so basically had I stayed else where I would of been out of 700 bucks. This place is trash everything about it needs to be thrown along with it in the trash!!!! Dont ever stay here. Just completely a turn off!!!!! Run!!!!!!!…
NASTY FILTHY DISGUSTING HOTEL!! Roaches Everywhere!! Fire Alarm Missing Door Safety Latch Missing Dirty Bathroom, Wet Bath Towels, Holes in Walls Demanded a Refund and relocated to a hotel down the street! Will NEVER EVER stay at another Knights Inn Roach Motel!
I asked for a non-smoking room and they gave me a smoking one. Everything was dirty and/or broken. The restroom was disgusting. The tub very gross. We found cockroaches and centepedes. The toilet moved!! No toilet paper holder. Not enough towels, two for four people. The sheets and the duvets were dirty. Sand inside the bed. The fridge didn't close, the microwave always with the light on. And the cleaning lady sarcastic and rude.
Stayed for 2 nights. Checked in around 6pm. Staff was very friendly. The lights didn't work in the bathroom, asked for another room and was switched with no problems. The furniture has been updated, but you can tell the motel is older. There are things that could be updated, but then you would be paying way more per night. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable. I needed a place to sleep, not spending my entire trip in the room. It was close to restaurants, gas stations and even walmart. This place wasn't horrible like the reviews seem to make it be. Its old yes....does it fit the need of a place to sleep....yes.
i have traveled alot and this is the worst place we have ever stayed! the room was not ready when we got there. some of the lights were not working. the sink had to be plunged. the air conditioner was so loud!! it wasn't very clean either. i do not recommend this place!!!
