This motel is located near the entrance to Everglades National Park. I found it listed in the AAA book with a two star rating. The rate was $45 plus tax.

The room was typical for a motel with two queen beds, a table, dresser with 20 inch TV, and a mini fridge. The room was clean, the TV worked with a ton of channels, the air conditioner worked, and there was hot water in the bathroom.

The reason I stayed here besides the price was the free high speed wireless internet.

There's also a washer/driyer outside and a pool near the entrance.

Overall - a good choice for a one night stay near the National Park.

With a loud and abrupt key knock on the door at 10:31 in the morning, this ordinary motel took on a touch of rudeness. Who ever heard of a 10:30 am checkout? We were made to feel like trespassers at 10:31 am by the proprietor who, when I asked what the unpleasant knock was about, stated that check-out was at 10:30 am - though nowhere in the room was that instruction posted. We hastily gathered out items and placed them in the car. There is no way that I will stay here again given that unpleasant experience - where smiles turned quickly to a frown. As for the accommodations of this motel, it is a very ordinary and tired looking motel and little evidence of love or pride for its features can be seen. What we thought would be a quaint establishment - thinking the decor and spirit of the place was of the coral rock era of old Florida, was not to be so.

My girl and I spent the night there on our way back from key west, nice deal they had for $50, we were given room 19 and we found bedbugs under the bed, and walking in the carpet, we immediately reached the fronr desk and gave us another room, no refunds though.

Friendly and hospitable staff, clean room, comfy beds, and great service! No complaints. The mini fridge and microwave were nice to have also. Great place to stop and spend a couple nights for a low price!

The last great deal before you get to the Florida Keys! Newly renovated bathrooms, new mattresses, ice in the machine available 24 hours, new washer and dryer & pleasant staff to care for you when you need them. Pet tolerant with a fee. Parking right ouside your door. Air conditioner works well, and open window available. A gazebo area visible through the window from every room so you can keep an eye on your kids while they are ouside. Cable & Wireless Internet work well. This is a pearl-- a Homestead/Florida City landmark with a coral exterior just across the street from another local tradition--The Capri Restaurant-- all tucked just around the corner from US-1 at the entrance to Key Largo. A thrifty value & a neat experience for those who like to travel just off the main path.

There were no Blankets and no light bulb in a lamp shade. We also had a sharp knock at 10.31 for checkout. They would not honor the rate for the second night. We would definitely not recommend this place. They were very rude people.

Although it was an affordable and convienent place to stay, I will not ever recommend this place to anyone! Motel was crawling with cockroaches. I didn't complain because my wife said it wasn't necessary but I will submit this review so that someone knows and hopefully prepares themselves for what awaits inside every little room under blankets under pillows under the mattress and inside the microwave. God bless.

Though the wifi feels like it's slower than molasses even though they've now rebooted it several times for me, the rom itself is acceptable. Very clean and decently maintained. The location is also central. There is some sort of arcade/fair a block away and the noise from that comes in through the bathroom window. The price is right and compared to the other properties in the area, this is a decent value.

Stayed in a double queen size bed room for $45, for two. There was a fridge, microwave, TV (with RCA inputs), and WiFi. I guess you get the $39.99 price (on the sign) if there is one person. They had a recently opened pool which I didn't check out. There was no spa. The location was good, since it was just outside of the Florida Keys. They only had two towels and two wash clothes and one bar of soap. There was no shampoo. The shower walls had mildew. But, it looked like the tub and walls were never scrubbed. I took a washcloth and wiped it on the shower wall and the grim came off. The sheets were stained. There was no ice (in the ice machine). There was just coffee for breakfast. There was car traffic in and out of the parking lot all night.

Firstly, the outside looks like something from old stone wall times. My husband chose it because it had a AAA discount sign up.

The room was standard about $40 with his discount but since I was traveling with him, he had to pay another $10 for me to stay. Also they have a $5 key deposit that is returned when they receive the key back.

The pool was disgusting! It was filled with bugs and looked like it had NEVER been cleaned since the day it was dug into the ground.

The room was decent. It was clean to an extent. furniture was a little dusty. I assumed they just didn't get too much business.

We would probably never come back to this hotel again.
