The Ivey House offers modern, spacious rooms, each surrounding our beautifully landscaped screened-in tropical courtyard and pool. Whether you want to experience our beautiful subtropical wilderness or just want to explore one of Florida’s most quaint, quirky and charismatic old outposts, our family-owned hotel will provide you and your family peaceful accommodations by night and exciting Everglades Adventures kayak tours and rentals by day.
We used this motel as our home base to explore the Everglades. The staff was pleasant and helpful but the room was overpriced for what it provided — not much more than a couple of beds, a television, and a bathroom. Moreover, the Wi-Fi didn’t work the entire time we were there. Although there are not a lot of options in Everglades City, I would encourage others to explore them before staying here.

Nice hotel in a central location if you're looking to do stuff in the Gulf Coast or Shark Valley entrances to the Everglades. There's a really nice-looking pool that unfortunately we didn't get a chance to use, maybe next time. The main thing is that they are SUPER nice -- we had an issue with our room, and they were so accommodating and moved us to a new room immediately. Definitely made me want to come back! One important thing to note is that the front desk closes pretty early, and while there is an emergency number to call, neither of us had cell phone service in Everglades City so we weren't able to. It's just something to know ahead of time before you go.

What a delight to find Ivey House. We needed a stop on a long trip and this was convenient. It was delightful hotel with friendly staff, clean spacious rooms and a lovely little town. Our dinner at Camelllia Street Grill and breakfast at Island Cafe were perfect. A lovely place. We recommend it highly.

This is a modern and comfortable motel. The room was very clean. The restaurant is closed. There are a few cafes a few minutes drive away. The internet is good. The town is basic and mainly for water sport enthusiasts. I would recommend for young people.

Basic hotel, beyond basic staff. The valve in the shower broke and water couldn't be turned off. Front desk folks immediately called off site maintenance and immediately gave us a key to another room. No inconvenience to us. Hotel is clean, all staff has a big hello & smile, screened pool & convenient location. Everglades is true old Florida in every way. Best seafood ever!

What a beautiful place. The exterior is a bit rough but wow the rooms are magnificent. And if you book an adventure plan with Captain Jacks the stay is even more fun. The rooms are spacious and set up for potential extended stay. Restaurant on site but didn’t get a chance to try it.

With pretty much a lock on where to stay if one intends to visit the National Park up the road a couple miles without travelling a couple hours from the next nearest hotel or motel, Ivey House was a real disappointment. We were allowed to check in early. An extra blanket, as requested when making the reservation, was already in the room. And though the staff was quite friendly and helpful on check-in and check-out, that is where it ended. For $234.00 for one night, I had expected more. There is a very long handicapped ramp up to the floor the rooms are on, but there are no carts, so it was bag-drag all the way. The rooms have only ceramic tile floors, no carpeting. One side of the bed was so close to the wall that there was no night stand or light. In fact, light in the…

Positives: Our room was comfortable and fine. The staff was friendly and helpful. We went to Marco Island beach and that was great. The pizza place that the front desk recommended was a good choice. Overall not a bad value. Negatives: The pool water was very cold- too cold to go in. The coffee was horrible. There is no breakfast.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were sparkling clean and the shower was great. We left some items behind and the staff helped us with the process of getting a FedEx pickup arranged. I must have called Nathaniel 3-4 times and he was kind and patient. We checked out a day early because my husband wasn’t feeling well. They refunded our money which we didn’t expect. We didn’t even ask them to! We arranged our kayaking tour and fishing excursion through EVERGLADES ADVENTURES who I believe the hotel is affiliated with. Both experiences were fantastic. The fishing tour is expensive but well worth it!!!!We will return for sure.
