Me and my husband stayed here 2 nights and it was perfect. The only minus point is the breakfast which is not in the house and you have to go to a restaurant. And in that restaurant there is no breakfast for the Europeans. Only omlet. The rest is Indian and Arabic breakfast. There is no bread, no butter no jam no cheese. Ahmed is such a nice and helpful person. He arranged a car for us which we could drive to Jebel Shams. I will stay here again.

Ahmed is a very friendly host, who will try to help you with everything. We rented his simple bikes and cycled to old Al Hamra in about 20 minutes. Lovely through the date plantations to the museum in the mud house area of old Al Hamra. Great fun! The small guesthouse has only 3 rooms, but there is a small pool where nobody can see you. If there are only guests from Western countries you can wear a swimming suit. There is a kitchen with fridge and microwave. If you order your breakfast in the restaurant where you have dinner the night before, they put it for you in the fridge in this kitchen. You can also have your breakfast at the restaurant itself but it took a long time before they had prepared it. Next day they brought it and that was better. It was so much that we also had enough for lunch. The restaurant is 15 minutes walking (very safe) or 5 minutes driving. Funny: it is also busy takeaway for local people, who order their meal sitting in their car. Quite a spectacle!

A small guest house of just three ensuite rooms in a modern house. The room was a good size, good a/c and WiFi ,fridge, TV we didn't try, toiletries and tea or coffee available in the guests shared kitchen. Outside area had a small seating area common to all rooms but enclosed with a high wall, better was the pleasant small enclosed swimming pool. We were met with a friendly greeting with everything clearly explained and the offer of any information or assistance needed about local attractions. Only a small common outside area for sitting outside your rooms Breakfast, and dinner if you opt for it, is taken in a local restaurant 800 metres away, two minutes easy drive, or ordered and delivered to you. We ate at the restaurant on both occasions and the staff there were efficient and friendly and the food very good. A good choice for a quiet comfortable stay.

We are a family of 3, from Switzerland. Ahmed welcomed us very warmly. He showed us his house, the room etc. The room was very clean, equipped with air conditioning (although this device is a bit noisy). It was very clean, with private toilet and shower. A kitchen is available for guests who would want to cook themselves, although this is not necessary since breakfast and dinner vouchers are provided for a local restaurant nearby (10-minute walk, or 2-minute drive). WiFi available for free. There is also a small swimming pool but we did not use it. Ahmed also sent us a WhatsApp message with many links about things to do in the region and was available for any advice we would have wanted to ask. We strongly recommend this address.
