We've stayed here at least four times, and have sent family and friends to stay as well. We now live nearby. The rooms are large with attached kitchens so you can make a coffee and breakfast or an easy meal. The beds are large and comfortable and spotlessly clean. William and his team are doing a fantastic job here -...

Arrived extremely grumpy and frazzled in Massat on cycle across Pyrenees. Young guy showed us the facilities: very patient and understanding showing us to a quiet back room. Room and facilities excellent value. But the real plus was the quality of the food in the cafe - despite being a hectic evening with France playing Germany in the semi final...

We stayed here on our way over from Luchon to Ax les thermes. There isn't a huge amount of choice in this area but I was pleasantly surprised with what I found when we arrived. Set just off the village centre in a nice quiet location Le Maxil is a local pub come restaurant come B&B. Our apartment was very...

Recently spent 3 nights at this hotel whilst attending a celebration in the area. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Our hotel room (quad) was very pleasant however I'd agree with previous reviews, the shower is very slow to drain! If you find yourself in Massat you'll be pleasantly surprised with the quality of this hotel and its restaurant....

We had 2 rooms and a communal area with a fridge and cooking facilities although we did not need to make use of them as the restaurant was excellent Massat is surrounded by beautiful countryside with wonderful hiking routes .

Expecting to be in the main hotel, we were surprised when the receptionist took us down the road to their annex. The entrance smelled a bit damp and I was apprehensive about what we would find but I was pleasantly surprised by our top floor room. 2 large windows and a small kitchenette, plus a dining table and a couple...

Was at my uncle's wedding who lives in area. We stayed for two nights. Place was clean, and simple. Perfect for what we needed. A great place to sleep. The bar/cafe/restaurant was even better. Great place.

Had a nice bed in a nice room and a good meal at a fair price. Ate in the open air in the garden in the evening and had a good breakfast the following morning - better than the usual French breakfast .Just what was required.

I stayed here as part of a 500 mile bike ride across the pyrenees what I wanted more than anything was a comfy bed and great food, in Massat I found it. Le Maxil in Massat is stunning - a beautifully modernised hotel with charming helpful and attentive staff. The rooms are spotless, beds comfy and the surrounding village very...
