We stayed 2 weeks and loved every minute. The inside pool is the best attraction for us. It's heated and worth it when it's raining outside. Nice and friendly and super great security with the Sheriffs station on property.
My family and I stayed in unit 703b for a week in January with my in-laws. The resort was extremely clean all the time, great service, awesome views of the gulf of mexico!!. Would highly recommend this resort to anyone with families.
This place was beyond my expectations. You get all the privacy you want but also the perfect beach access. The pool is great, super clean and always at a good temperature! This will be the only place I'll ever stay at in Destin. You can't...More
We stay here every 4th of July and absolutely love it and the location! The views are spectacular! Make sure to get a room that is high up. It's also close to our favorite restaurants and love that they have free beach service!

I did see a couple of pop up tents, but I agree with the wind, it may not stay. The best thing to do is visit one of the many souvenir shops on Scenic Gulf Dr and purchase an umbrella. If I recall they were only $10 which is what you will pay for daily rental. Definitely worth it even if you can't take it with you when you leave.
