You'll be greatly surprised by this smaller hotel. Breakfast was WONDERFUL!! It ranged from LARGE Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, cheese, strawberries, yogurt, hardboiled eggs, BelVita Energy Bars and about 10 additional kinds of prepacked goodies to take with you to the beach. A specialized coffee machine could overwhelm you with options during all hours of the day. The lighted parking was free and the spaces were not tight even for a larger vehicle. If you looked closely you could see alot of little things that available for your use (the grill had a quart of started fluid, kids pool toys were out for everyone to use, an outdoor fire pit had wood stacked inside, multiple places to wash the sand off your feet, hand sanitizing stations on every floor). I overhead part of an interview, where the hotel manager stated their top priority was cleanliness followed by excellent customer service! Her direct comment was, "Quality over Quantity". This showed because the cleaning staff also greeted us as we arrived and told us if we forgot anything to just ask because they could already have what we forgot. If you're looking for negative all I can say is that the beach towels were small and extra pillow would have made a BIG Difference. We'll Be Back!!…
Small Hotel with few amenities but it is on the Beach. It is a clean Hotel with a small kitchen overlooking the pool and the beach. The price was great. You are near everything by car. Quiet sleep and restful. Small parking but they let you double park.
Stayed one night here during bike week and wish I would have stayed the whole time. The hotel is decorated so cute and has the best view! The pool area is awesome as well and has a grill and picnic area. Would be a perfect vacation get away. Plan on booking the whole week there next year and bring the kids along.
Rebecca at the front desk was amazing! Waited until 3am for us to check in and gave great recommendations about the area. Very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend staying here. Cant wait to come back and stay again.
This is a very outdated hotel. They very poorly attempted to renovate but just painted over missing trim. The bathrooms were the worst. The dishes in the cabinet had bug poop in them. The beds were horrible. The view was nice but not worth the money it cost us to stay there. I would recommend looking at the room before paying. Our friend's tub was disgusting!
During any hotel stay, the two things I am looking for is cleanliness and safety. If those two things are important to you, don't stay here. This hotel does not practice either of those two things. First, upon walking into our room, the first thing we noticed is that our room was outdated and FILTHY. We resorted to sleeping on bath and beach towels because the sheets looking gross. We stayed on the first floor. We had a walk out on the pool level. Staying on that level is similar to a dungeon. The staff break room was also there, so we also had tons of cleaning carts in the hallways. Attached to the post, I am attaching several photos taken of our hotel room. Next, there is virtually no safety practices. The front door does not open by key. Several times during our stay we walked by the lobby, and there was not even an attendant at the desk monitoring. In addition, the door that allows people from the pool into the hotel had key pad, but it did not work. The door did not even latch. Also, the rooms do not feature any additional locks suck as a manual latch that most hotel rooms have on room doors. Overall, do not say here. We saw the staff smoke cigarettes more often than cleaning. In addition, when we requested the carts to be removed from the hallway, we heard staff in the staff room saying that we should "be kicked out." Save your money!…
The location of this hotel was great, right on the beach. When we arrived we were greeted by the receptionist who, although nice, helpful and friendly, didn't wear a mask. Nobody in the hotel, employees nor guests were wearing masks, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable. The room overlooked the parking lot and it was quite large. However, the appliances were outdated and poorly maintained, the carpet was stained, dirty and had holes, dust and dirt were in the corners. When we checked out we had to wait for about 10 mins, nobody was around. My husband took the luggage to the car when we saw the employees smoking outside, next to the main door. Nobody had masks, of course, and they acted like there was no Covid risk whatsoever. We will not return.
Room 406 The good: view, balcony chairs, clean, front staff,tv The bad: sliding door did not lock, large burner on stove did not work, only supplied with one pot, asked for frying pan and given 8 inch pan, silverware left out on small cart, killed 2 roaches ,1 dull steak knife, safe was locked and had to wait for staff to open, Only lamp was broken, No headboard, only 1 bedside table, chipping Formica in kitchenette and bath, very tight bath, continental breakfast was muffins and coffee( no yogurt ,no fruit) Room had carpet, well worn small sitting chair No vent over stove,
We loved our visit so much we booked another one at check out. It’s a small independent older girl with a homey feel to it. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. They fixed the ice machine issue the day we checked in by installing a new machine. Only took a couple hours to get the elevator back up and running when it went down. Everyone there was super nice and helped us find plenty of local places to eat and visit. Keep in mind it is an older hotel so it’s not shiny like alot of the corporate hotels. But I prefer to use the independent hotels because I prefer supporting local small businesses. Loved this hotel. They did a fabulous job.
Made a reservation for this business and we had a small dog, they charged us a up fee which was fine. Vehicles were driving on the beach but we were told by a life guard that dogs cannot be on the beach. We would have never booked the room if we knew, we would have gone farther south or north. The hotel withheld that info. Also they say they are no smoking rooms when we went in a air purifier was on and it smelled of smoke. The room looked unclean and the shower rod had mold on it. Doors going to the pool were filthy and u could see hand prints all over it. A bit concerning with Covid still around. Also when checking out employees were right by the entrance door smoking. We should have gone to the Hilton for the price we paid and the deceitful ways. Lessened learned!
