My wife and some friends rented a boat and headed to cabbage key for a cheese burger in paradise. We'll some of us had the cheese burger and some had shrimp and blue crab. Everything was excellent and the beer was cold. We had a beautiful day and a beautiful server by the name of Rebecca. She took the time...

We took a day trip to Cabbage Key. Boat ride was fantastic. Saw lots of dolphins on the ride over and return trip. There were lots of boats and people, but we were seated quickly. All in our party ordered the cheese burger. Our server, Marcie, was terrific, lots of personality, information and efficient. It was stated on the menus...

We appreciate your positive feedback on Marcie and are addressing the over-sized bun issue you stated in your review. The size of our burger patties has stayed consistent. However, we have been receiving fresh buns that are occasionally over-sized. We are working to correct this issue with our bakery and hope that you will visit us again soon.

Great way to escape and unwind. No cars. Good food. Friendly staff. Rent a cottage and unplug. Kayak or boat to beach. Walk the trails. See shooting stars. Life like it used to be before we got so busy. We will make this an annual trip.

That’s amazing! We love when our guests become regulars and a part of the Cabbage Key family. Our island is often described as “a great place to kick your feet up and watch the boats go by.” We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit!

Stone crabs and chilled smoke salmon. We also had red beans and rice with halibut. Overlooking a crystal blue harbor with palm trees and turtles walking by OMG! Why didn't we come before. 15 minutes on a ferry from Pine Island with no traffic in season. Perfect.

All of what you heard is true! And every dollar that falls from our walls is donated to various local charities, averaging about $10,000 in a year! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed our food and drinks, and hope to see you again in the future, maybe for an overnight stay? Our dinner scene is very different from lunch, and...

Took a day trip boat ride to Cabbage Key to check it out and of course try the famed Cheeseburger. Very busy for lunch with boats coming and going but we got seated and served very quickly. Our server Scott was great and told us a lot about the island. All of the burgers are cooked medium rare (due to...

We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the food, and Scott’s great service! Come back soon for a Cabbage Creeper, or a Planter’s Punch, both of which pair nicely with our Cheeseburgers in Paradise, or a grilled mahi sandwich.

We always have a great experience at Cabbage Key but today was extra special because of our Great Waitress, Debi. She was just terrific and made my birthday extra special. Wanted you to know how much we (6) enjoyed our time at Cabbage Key. Maryjane (queenie) Bouchard

Sailed our 36 ft boat for a night stay. The dock is well protected and quite. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with great hospitality. The seafood was fresh (of course) & very well prepared. Kerrie was a most gracious host. Enjoyed hiking the trail the next morning. The view from the water tower is worth the climb. We will definitely...

We’re very pleased that Carrie was able to make you feel welcome at our Historic Restaurant. Our water tower is the only remaining original water tower in the area! With 41 steps to the top, the view can be very scenic. We look forward to seeing you on your return trip!

We took the cruise ship over to Cabbage Key last week and dinned at the little restaurant at the top of the hill. Hannah wasn't our waitress but was always there to answer our questions. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Cabbage Key is a 100 acre island located five miles off of Pine Island, FL in the Pine Island Sound. The Inn, built in the 1940's by the family of Mary Roberts Rinehart, now houses our famous Restaurant & Dollar Bill Bar and six guest rooms. The rooms in the Inn are all different with old Florida charm - they do not have TVs, phones, or refrigerators. We have seven cottages on the island, ranging from a 1 bedroom/1 bath cottage to 3 bedroom/3 bath waterfront units. All cottages have refrigerators, televisions (no cable) and coffee makers, some units have full kitchens. Our restaurant is open seven days a week and serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. If you want to relax on a beach...we do not have one here. But, Cayo Costa is a close kayak or boat ride away. This is a great retreat to discover "Old Florida", relax with a book, fish from our docks & watch the boats go by. ... more   less
