About 8 years ago went to the watermill and really enjoyed the evening. Could it have kept the standards up? Simple answer is yes. Selection of beers is superb. Food is very good and reasonably priced.

Staying for a few days at Meadowcroft Country House Hotel, next door to The Watermill we were blessed to have this facility so close to hand. Travelling with dogs we were pleased to see that The Watermill had a special Dining area for customers with dogs. The Watermill do not accept pre-booking reservations but for our visit this was not...

Enjoyed a two night stay with our dog, staying in one of the balcony rooms. The breakfast was good and we were able to take our meals accompanied by our dog. There is a very good selection of real ales and the prices are reasonable. Very handy for visiting the Lakes and is only 2 miles from Windermere. Will be...

Enjoyed our stay with our two pets. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Enjoyed the beer and the food. However was let down by the WiFi. Notwithstanding will definitely go back. Parking is available. Took the doggies for a walk into the woods and really enjoyed it.

Stopped at the pub for a leisurely lunch with family and our two dogs. Wonderful range of real ales and good selection of well cooked food. The staff are really friendly, even to the point of trying to find us an alternative route home to avoid two vicious dogs on a nearby farm. They even gave the dogs a bowl...

Went for an evening meal with the family. No booking required. Had a variety of mains including the best fish and chips I've had, with the possible exception of Whitby. Elderly mother in law, who can't eat a large meal was able to order a 'small' gammon. We thoroughly enjoyed it all. Added to this they had a great selection...

This is a great hotel for a no frills dog friendly stay. Great location, only 5 minutes drive into Windermere. Rooms are quite dated but very clean with modern shower room. Lovely shower gel provided but no shampoo or conditioner. Room 8 has a huge balcony which our two dogs loved. Tea and coffee provided but would have been nice...

This is the second time we stopped at the Watermill Inn and it remains my favourite pub in the Lakes. Good Friday (lunchtime) was as you would expect very busy. Even so we got a table of 4 on arrival (there are quite a lot of tables). Menu is varied and much more than a bar snack (although this is...

A perfect pit stop on your way home from the Lake District. The food is great, there's a wide variety of drinks and the staff are friendly. The atmosphere is also very good, the bar and restaurant and kept clean and have a very modern, comfortable feel to them. Would stay again.
