Stig and his four legged companions are an absolute joy! Stig is extremely sweet, kind and accommodating - helping my husband and I out when we were in a pinch! The Flamingos Inn is immaculate, extremely relaxing with a breathtaking view. The ocean is warm and the pool is cool. The town offers fantastic local cuisine, avian wildlife and a...

The best host you can ever want, Stig from Norway, a small hotel with breathtaking view, actually on the beach, and a low pulse environment. Nearly 30 C in the water and one hour was spent there reading, every day. If you need a time to relax, to wind down, Flamingos Inn is THE place.

Flamingos Inn in slow and low-pulse Chuburna near Merida is definately a shining gem. The owner Stig is a magnificent including host, and runs the place with utmost perfection, though with a charming attitude and friendly approach towards any needs and advices. The B and B hotel is one of a kind , and the location is great for any...

I have stayed at Flamingos Inn on a couple of occasions, it's so nice that I keep going back. Stig the owner is absolutely the 'host with the most'. He does everything possible to make you feel welcome and comfortable in his B&B. Located in Chuburna Puerto , Flamingos is wonderfully situated in a tranquil area of the Yucatan, right...

"The Flamingos Inn is a B&B that has a charming and authentic Mexican feel. Truly a unique setting far from the big tourist areas of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Well worth the drive from Cancun if you don't fly into Merida. We stayed in MAR, the top floor with fantastic views of the Gulf. We could see from Chuburna...

First of all, Stig is great! He is warm and welcoming and you really feel like you are staying with a friend. The property itself blew us away. A nice garden with green gras and a lovely swimming pool. The rooms are luxurious with a nice design. From the rooms you have large windows with a view towards the sea....

After years of vacations to Akumal, we decided to explore the other side of the Yucatan for longer than just day trips. Literally found Flamingo Inn on Google maps- and once we arrived, we knew this is a special place. Beautifully located for tranquility, it also is a perfect base for exploring the coastline (Progreso, Celistun, little villages like Yucalpeten...

Judging by the reviews, Flamingos Inn may be a lovely place. We, however, will never know. Despite prepaying EIGHT (8) months before the stay, when there were no other reservations whatsoever and we had a choice of any room; despite confirming a week prior to the visit… 48 hours beforehand Stig cancelled our reservation. What to advise? I know what...

This review is long overdue - we've been talking about Flamingos Inn and its owner, Stig, for the whole year since our stay. Stig is an incredible host - attentive, great cook, very funny and interesting, and takes care of every detail. The rooms are very comfortable. We stayed in the penthouse (Mar) room. The balcony is huge, with comfortable...
