I picked the Delamar West Hartford as our Valentine's Day getaway because we needed to stay locally and yet we wanted to feel as if we had been whisked away to somewhere far more exotic. The Delamar West Hartford certainly delivered the goods. This hotel is so sleek and shiny when you enter the lobby and the decor is very special. We loved the bench made of quarters. All staff members we encountered were very welcoming and I was impressed by the energy and good humor of the valets on such a freezing cold night. Parking in WH can be tricky so having free valet service is a real perk.
Our 5th floor room was very spacious and well appointed. We opted for the February romance package and enjoyed the French champagne and truffles waiting in our room when we arrived. Rose petals on our bed were an unexpected and appreciated surprise. It was great to have a late 1 PM check out the following day, also. I especially found the glass shower in the bathroom to be cleverly designed with controls at the back of the shower so that you could remain dry while adjusting the temperature and water flow before actually stepping under the rainfall shower at the front. I also liked that the shower itself had no real "door" as such but rather a simple open entryway.
A breakfast buffet was included in the room rate and provided many options such as yogurt, fresh fruit, oatmeal, and various pastries. The scrambled eggs were really delicious! Navigating the buffet can be a bit challenging at peak times as the space is fairly tight so don't try to juggle too many things at once. Breakfast was available from 7-10 AM which appealed to me as I like to sleep in on vacation.
The Delamar is a great choice for an upscale hotel experience. I definitely would book here again and would recommend to friends.

This hotel is beautiful and the staff is superb. The rooms are a good size (we stayed in a Deluxe Room, 1 King bed) and decorated with attention to detail. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and lovely, with a shower and sink with extra large counter.
The hotel itself is in a great location, easy walk to pretty much everything.
As far as being COVID aware, the hotel is very clear about the requirements, has sanitation stations throughout, a lot of signage, and we felt safe.
Here's the reason we can't give this a 5 star rating: the air conditioning sounds like a jet plane taking off (when it kicks in), and the light/mirror in the bathroom makes a loud clicking sound when you turn it on, and for 20 minutes after you turn it off (we suspect it's the sound it makes as it heats up/cools off).

For work, had the pleasure to have a long stay (with a little yorkie and husband) at Delamar WH, and we were extremely happy we picked this hotel. First, the location is unbeatable!! Walking distance to Whole Foods, gym, coffee shops, and restaurants of all kinds. They also provide a ride, (up to a certain mileage) in their Tesla. It was very used and appreciated. The hotel is not a huge chain kind, it has the small feel that makes you feel special. And even though it’s very classy and stylish, in my opinion, it never felt snobbish. My room and bathroom were very spacious, bright and sparkling clean. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. I asked for a tea kettle and got it promptly. Oh, and it’s pretty quiet too. I used the gym a few times, small but solid. A few free weights and a cable machine that really gets the job done (not a cardio gal but they had all kinds of cardio machines even the famous Peloton). The game room was awesome to drink some wine and relax in, the coffee bar was a treat too. All kinds of latte, all inclusive. But one of the best parts of our stay, was the treatment from the super friendly yet very professional staff, since our check smooth check in. Sedek, the manager, was extremely thoughtful and made our long stay a truly stress free one. Alex, the director of operations, was always ready to help to set up cleaning, when we were out with the dog. And all his team did a great job leaving our dog friendly room impeccable. The guys from the Valet were super fast, friendly, and did an outstanding job. Breakfast could improve a little, but I’m a foodie, so for someone else it could be just fine with the staples scrambled eggs/orange juice/fruit. Anyways, it’s a hotel that provides everything; comfort, space, great location, and top notch service. It’s very stylish yet very cozy. I would definitely recommend.

The Delamar is a beautiful hotel in West Hartford Connecticut with an excellent, kind and attentive staff. Being located on the edge of Blue back Square the hotel is within seconds of great restaurants and shopping. We stayed in a Superior King Suite which was roomy, tastefully decorated and with comfortable. My only complaint was the HVAC (heating and air conditioning) unit was located in an interior wall of the hotel room, between the living room and the bedroom.. Every time the unit turned on it was very loud and often woke us up. During the day if you are watching TV you almost had to double the volume of the TV to hear it. For a 500.00+ dollar a night room I would expect a quieter HVAC system, not like on in a Motel 8. We finally had to turn it to "fan only" mode during the night so it acted more like constant white noise and didn't wake us every time it turn on. Hotel free breakfast was great. They do allow pets and a customer brought a dog to breakfast. I thought that was a little much for a fancy hotel.

We just attended a wedding at the Delamar, a boutique hotel in West Hartford. I would like to say that they executed this event as good as any wedding I have ever attended (and I have been to weddings at some top end places). I was pleasantly surprised at how well the entire weekend went (and weddings almost always have something go wrong). The staff was very welcoming and accommodating (early checkin and late checkout). It certainly helps to be part of the wedding party! The rooms were very nice. My only complaint is that the hotel was kept fairly warm (low 70s) so we had to run the AC (in JAN) to cool down (we typically sleep at 63F). Breakfast was included and had the usual bacon, eggs & potatoes with an array of fresh fruit and pastries each morning. The wedding was in the hotel and once the wedding ceremony concluded, they hastily converted the space into the reception room while guests indulged in cocktails and appetizers. While most appetizers were good to average, they did serve rack of lamb chops that were exceptional. Once seated in the reception area, they went about taking our orders, a choice of steak or halibut. Seriously, when was the last time you ordered your meal (and not preordered with your RSVP) at a wedding reception of 140+ people? They even asked how I wanted it! I was prepared for the usual overdone leather steak and was shocked to be presented with a perfectly cooked strip steak. Everyone was raving about the steak. I can't speak to the halibut but I heard no complaints. When they served the cake, each piece had a side of sherbert, a tart and small flourless chocolate torte. A very nice presentation. And we finished the weekend with a nice Sunday brunch. Bottom line, they executed the eating portion of the wedding flawlessly. Hats off to the Delamar as this is rarely accomplished to this degree. I can't speak about the cost (and I am sure it was not cheap) but it is nice to get what you pay for rather than pay a premium price for a reputation that is not deserved. I would highly recommend the Delamar for any type of serious function, without hesitation.

Delamar absolutely exceeded expectations. My sister and I had rented an Airbnb that was not as expected. We felt very unsafe and chose to leave. We then proceeded to an Extended Stay hotel which had not been properly cleaned. During these times with COVID still rampant, we cannot take those kinds of risks, so we also chose to leave. We finally came to Delamar very late (12:00 AM) on Friday night, very tired and in need of a place we could safely rest our heads. Delamar provided just that, and the woman working at the front desk was not only accommodating but incredibly helpful.
The staff absolutely provided the anticipated level of attentive service. From doors being opened for me, any questions being answered, and a kind man walking up a our new room cards to us; we felt very taken care of and attended to.
Our accommodations were incredibly comfortably, cozy, safe, and free of all defects. We were very, very pleased with the room. That, and the property itself is quite beautiful. Our pet-friendly room had an adorable balcony that overlooked the back of the hotel, showcasing the adorable outdoor seating for suntanning, lounging, and dining.
Next time I am in West Hartford, I certainly know where to stay.

Our recent trip to CT was made perfect with our stay at the Delamar. From check in to ckout our experience was outstanding. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and spotless. The beds linens and pillows made me feel like I was sleeping on a cloud. And my favorite part of the the stay was my early cup of coffee in the lobby! This was not our first stay at the Delamar and certainly won't be our last. Thanks to everyone there for making our short but sweet stay excellent.

First off, amazing staff - Sedek, whom we have been acquainted with at the Delamar Greenwich location always goes above and beyond. My wife and I stayed with our newborn and we felt comfortable as soon as we entered the hotel. When walking into the hotel you are greeted by a beautiful lobby with tall ceilings. Check-in process was a breeze. Front desk gave us great recommendations for local restaurants within walking distance. Due to the cold we opted to try room service from the hotel restaurant, Artisan. The food was amazing and was delivered quickly. My wife had the scallops and I had the steak, both of which we loved. The room was spacious and clean, with an amazing bathroom that had a soaking tub that we took advantage of. We were definitely sad to leave, but will only stay at the Delamar when we are in the area. We stayed there for a wedding and the food was great. The staff was very gracious and helpful and we absolutely loved the finishes and design in our room. We travel quite often and I must say that this hotel is in my top 5. The location is perfect with all the shops and restaurants right across the street and the complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning was a great surprise. I would absolutely recommend the Delamar to anyone looking to stay here.

Imagine having the space, style and means to build an over the top 100 room luxury hotel without having to cut corners in any way? I believe that it would look very similar to the Delamar West Hartford. The hotel reeks of luxury at every turn- from the opulent lobby, grand guestrooms, spotless elevators and corridors, and top-notch in house restaurant, Artisan. I have been to the Greenwich and Southport Delamar locations, but this hotel is truly on a different level. The attention to detail in the guestrooms is spectacular. Beautiful artwork and artifacts, a great oversized club chair, impressive closeting, clear and precise marketing materials, and a wonderful bathroom with top tier bath and soap products. The service team is professional and warm throughout the hotel. Complimentary breakfast (which is great) and parking show that the hotel is still aware of providing strong value. While no hotel is perfect- The Delamar West Hartford is pretty damn close.
