What a discovery: Kili Villa is such a convenient way to slip into safari mode after any long-haul flight in. It is easily worth a couple of nights, not least because of its fab location and facilities, but because it enables easy discovery of Arusha National Park and encourages a trip to Tarangire as well. Beautiful environment, really good food, bright, bright stars and the sounds of the bush. Tons of space for leg stretching and some really cool activities like few hours on a horse amongst the local wild life.
We stayed two nights at Kili Villa with kids (3 and 6 years old) before starting our safari. It is a perfect place - especially v. convenient if you are flying to the Kilimanjaro Airport as the hotel is perhaps the closes nice place near to it. We would recommend horse riding and golf as both activities are really unique experiences.
We arrived late evening at the Kili Villa, after our KLM flight ✈️. Flying the whole day and than you knock on the door and an lovely crew opens the door. First cleaning your hands and offer you on social distance fresh mango juice. We checked in and the owner was sitting outside at the Boma ( fireplace ) and waiting with for an glas of wine. We feel mostly welcome on this beautiful estate , close to Kili golfcourse.
After a long 30hours of travel and a final bumpy road we made it to our first lodge of this trip. This was the perfect first two nights to rest, recover and prepare for the next two weeks. The staff are incredible. Elli the young chef makes world class meals, that honestly could be served in any European restaurant. Mary is kind and gracious and takes care of your needs while relaxing, and Stefano, the manger took the time to track down and personally retrieve our lost luggage. This lodge is quite, relaxing and a great way to unwind either on the front or back end of your trip. Close to the Airport but yet still remote. Thank you for a pleasant stay. Ahsante.
After a bumpy roadtrip we arrrived in paradise. A wonderful, kolonial style villa. Grand, but still very “African” styled opened on every side. A careful staff of 4 persons were there for you. Elli the cook, Rebecca was everywhere she needed to. Max around the house and our private golfpro jumbo. Close to the well kept golfcourse was our stay a lifetime experience. Worth a visit and.... close to Kilimanjaro int. Airport. A memorable stay
