What a discovery: Kili Villa is such a convenient way to slip into safari mode after any long-haul flight in. It is easily worth a couple of nights, not least because of its fab location and facilities, but because it enables easy discovery of Arusha National Park and encourages a trip to Tarangire as well.
Beautiful environment, really good food, bright, bright stars and the sounds of the bush. Tons of space for leg stretching and some really cool activities like few hours on a horse amongst the local wild life.

This Villa is the most extraordinary place to stay. There are 4 amazing homes available. We stayed at the tempo mtoni home. In this home there are four exquisite bedrooms (each with their own private bath and porch/ balcony). The bedrooms are large and very comfortable. The home is beautifully decorated and there are multiple seating areas. We walked and relaxed all day. Truly beautiful. Our private chef prepared delicious food for each meal. The staff provided for all of our needs. This was incredible. We ended our evenings by the outside fire with a delicious glass of wine. Perfect way to end our trip to Tanzania. Words cannot explain how much I enjoyed my stay. If you want to relax this is the place for you. I will definitely return and would highly recommend.

We stayed here this past January for 2 nights to relax after a very long set of flights before we went on Safari. This property is intimate and a wonderful place to relax. It was clean and well maintained complete with a pool and a nightly campfire. This villa also felt authentic and you didn't feel like you were in a typical resort.
The staff were incredible. Elly was a very friendly and gracious host and was ready to share history and culture about Arusha. Mary was also very friendly and always tended to what we needed.
The food at Kili Villa was delicious and felt like true home cooking!
We were very happy to have been able to have this experience at Kili Villa and would recommend this to anybody needing to relax after a long flight or after a safari!

this review ONLY concerns the villa which is a 'hotel' with 4 bedrooms; we were very disappointed by this room which was not clean; a lot of dust on the wardrobe, under and behind the bed; the decor is very old and this room deserves refurbishment; it feels like it's 1950 when you look at the walls and the frames hung; in the bathroom, for the shower, the wall support bar for the shower head is not fixed; a soft plastic curtain closes this shower; in front of the shower, on the floor, there is a carpet that is dirty...you don't want to walk on it barefoot; the toilet is not fixed to the floor, no support for the toilet paper roll...the floor was dusty; at the back of the place, there is a large plot of land, and a shame because the small swimming pool is between the entrance to the hotel and the living room, it is almost never in the sun, the water is cool; for meals it's good, nothing more; there is no possibility of choosing between several starters and main courses (it's a shame), however if you are vegetarian or if you have food allergies, they adapt in the kitchen; no drinks menu, so the choice is simple, there is a kind of beer, a red wine and 1 white wine...the service is OK; we expected to be in a friendlier, more lively, and warm place...in fact the atmosphere is austere; we were asked 25 dollars for a 5km taxi ride to return from Hara (10' maximum from the hotel)...it's crazy; whereas to go to the airport, taxis take 50 dollars and it is an hour's drive...

Kili Villa is a true gem of a lodge one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed in. A beautiful and comfortable villa surrounded by unspoilt nature, with professional and friendly staff was a truly memorable experience. Seeping your morning coffee and looking at the antelopes grazing in the garden, watching the wide variety of birds during the day, or stargazing near the campfire at night is simply unforgettable. The sense of privacy, immersion in nature but with all mod cons, and, most of all, the friendly and kind people make it more much more than just another lodge. The food was simply delicious, on par with the best restaurants in 5-star hotels. During the day you can go for walks on the expansive nature estate, play golf on the best golf course in the country or even do a horseback safari nearby ( the latter is highly recommended). Kili Villa may not be to everyone's taste, as this is not a city hotel with TVs, air cons, busy bars, music etc. But for anyone who loves being in nature, staying in unique and beautiful surroundings and enjoying friendly and personal service - this is the place to My big thank you to everyone at Kili Villa, I will miss you all and I cannot wait to be back!

Kili Villa is an excellent place to stay upon arrival or towards the end of your holiday to Tanzania. The privacy is fantastic, the lush gardens make you feel like you're in the middle of the bush and it is located (relatively) close to the airport. Kili Villa stands out due to the personalized service and the fantastic food. If you decide to go here, ask the staff to arrange snacks on arrival + set up the campfire. No better way to arrive in Tanzania then with a drink and some snacks gathered around the campfire with the sounds of nature surrounding you. Swimming pool, rooms and showers are good as well!

We booked the villa as our luxury retreat after intense safari game drives for a week. The villa is very tastefully finished and has a lot of room to relax and the service is excellent!! However, as someone who have travelled quite a bit to luxury stays this one barely makes it as luxury. Be prepared for no air conditioning and pool is very small. Wine lists and menus are limited too. Service makes up for most of this, staff is very understanding and have gone above and beyond to make our stay hassle free!

The Kili Villa is nothing less than spectacular. Nothing could have prepared me to the experience offered by staying in the villas.
The warm and experienced welcoming of the staff, the accurate food and beverage selectiion at breakfast lunch and dinner, the traditional arts, design and architecture of the lodge and villas blends perfectly in the environment.
The Golf Course is a challenging chanpionship course, caddies are experienced and provide wise guidance, the Club House is a timeless beauty anf the wildlife in the course offers an unforgettable golfing experience!

Disappointed to say the least, as I expected better from the comments read here. I'll start with saying that the food and the service were good. The room and the cleanliness was a different story. The shower was dirty and the the faucet was broken. The water was drip drip and coldish. The towels felt like sand paper. Also bugs were very welcomed. I know its Africa but I don't want lizards and bugs in my shower. It was hot in February and the standing fan provided in the room was USELESS. You can hug it and feel nothing. The extra room in the woods had no light to get to (as we arrived in the dark) and the spiral stairwell to it was interesting with luggage.
