There was bed bugs in my room. The manager tried to blame them on me and would offer no compensation or refund. I had to spend time and money on my vacation to wash all my clothes and buy bug killing products to try to prevent brining any bed bugs home. A truly terrible experience. DO NOT STAY HERE!
Safety was a concern for me and not for them. Smoke detector was missing in my room. First floor emergency exit on first floor stairwell was tied shut by plastic bags from a grocery store. TV barely worked
Low cost chains can be a gamble. Room and fixtures were largely worn, a smell permeates the room and property. Not the worst smell, but... Breakfast was tasteless and the coffee was brown water. Did not use the TV or internet. The staff was friendly. WE DID NOT SEE ANY BUGS/RODENTS, but the property did not excite.
This place was a joke. Room was a disaster and unclean. Breakfast was a joke....nothing was working and had out-of-order signs everywhere. Would NOT stay here again and would NOT recommend to anyone else.
Yes, you read that right! Please stay away from this hotel. I read reviews about Super 8 and was optimistic that people might just be overreacting. I was VERY mistaken. I have not written a Tripadvisor review before. Mostly because my experiences are often within acceptable range of my expectations. In this case, I feel obligated to create a TripAdvisor account just to write a review about Super 8. My first night was as expected. Not a great room (visibly outdated, shower makes weird noises), but overall not horrible (decent bed/wifi and TV worked), so this lived up to my expectations. However, my second night, I was laying in my bed and noticed a shadow on the wall next to me. I looked to my right and it was a RAT!!!! So gross!!!! This will give me PTSD for some time and no one should EVER go through this experience to see a rat in a hotel room. Makes me quite uncomfortable with the sensation and knowing the level of sanitation and cleanliness. I just wanted out of the hotel ASAP. Never heard an apology from management, let alone a refund for the night. Awful. Even without the mouse experience, the hotel’s neighborhood is still pretty sketchy. This was not a pleasant experience at all!! Please spend just a little more and stay elsewhere. Unless you want to take the chance to have a furry roommate for the night.…
Being a Hilton Honors Gold Member and a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Member, I find it alarming that the one time I try to provide Wyndham with business, I leave with the impression that Wyndham is unable to enforce brand standards or even a minimum viable level of compliance with local law with Wyndham's franchise-owned and operated locations, such as the Wyndham Stamford/New York City Area. Sanitation The property had a musky smell in its common areas. Moreover, I left the property with the impression that sanitation was a grave concern as it might not even be compliant with local code. The breakfast area's hot water spout had a white substance around it that I suspect might be mold, with litter in the elevator and the hallways. Published Benefits I booked my non-smoking room through the website that indicated the following benefits: Free WiFi, free continental breakfast, mini-refrigerator, microwave, air conditioning, coffee/tea maker, hair dryer, HDTV, bathroom amenities, alarm clock, desk, iron, ironing board, in-room safe. Starting with the "continental breakfast," there was neither fresh fruit nor butter even provided for the waffles. When I inquired for fruit or butter, the front desk nonchalantly responded that it was all they had on offer. On the HDTV, I was unable to use it the first night and reported it to the front desk. I came back to my room the second night with the TV still not functioning. I personally had to troubleshoot it and figure out that it was a dead outlet that caused the problem and even did the favor of informing the front desk to enable them to make the necessary repairs. As a result, I had to continue my stay with neither a refrigerator nor a microwave to operate the TV that is definitely not HD given the poor reception of its cable provider. Moreover, the alarm clock in my room is also nonfunctioning. On the issue of the safe, the safe in my room was locked at the outset with a note affixed that it would cost a dollar a day to have access to it despite the safe being a published benefit. I didn't bother to use it and yet the hotel decided to charge a $1 dollar safe fee in my folio! These litanies of items leave me with the impression that the property lacked the leadership/resources/support to operate to a standard or marketing was deceptive at worst! I implore everyone to avoid this property. …
bad business I went to check in and the manager keep my money and I was never there , not good for family people to go there to stay ,rooms are nasty ,they hired people that are sick,Disrespectful, also lots of sick people stay there
I stayed here 1 night to break up a long drive. I made the reservation online only a couple of hours before I planned to get there. It is located right off the highway, which is very convenient, but that is the only good thing I can say. I arrived around 10:30p and there were people “hanging out” at the front desk talking to the employee so I waited a few minutes in my car before going in. After waiting 15 min, I decided to go in as I was exhausted and just wanted to go to bed. The people “hanging out” said bye to their friend when I walked in. The employee wasn’t wearing a mask even though the sign at the desk & in the door says masks mandatory. The lobby was so shady and sketchy. He gave me a room card & I went up to my room. The whole hotel reeked of pot & cigarettes. Came across a scary looking woman as I got off the elevator. I went to my room, opened the door and there were dirty socks on the floor, a suitcase on the bed and the tv was on. Guess someone is already in that room. I go back down to the lobby and tell the employee. He asked “did you actually see someone or is the room just dirty”? So he gives me a different room and when I get off the elevator on that floor, there’s a man lying on the floor in the hallway and his friend taking a video. I’m pretty sure people live there. I was seriously scared for my life and safety. If it wasn’t so late and if I thought I could get a different hotel, I would’ve ran out of there! To top it off, when I went to leave in the morning at 8:50a, I went to grab some breakfast and coffee for the road and there was nothing! The room & setup were completely closed. Reservation said breakfast included and sign said breakfast 6a-9a. There was absolutely no way I missed breakfast, it absolutely was never set up.…
Very nice hotel only a few minute walk from The domestic terminal. Update rooms with new carpet. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. We took a taxi van to the international terminal for about 25$ (we were flying over seas after being in Australia for 8 months so had a lot of stuff). Within walking distance to some restaurants and cafes.
Absolutely horrible, 4th floor with dogs, had to use steps because elevator is out, floor soaking wet due to ac, bathroom door wouldnt close, dirty inside and out, trash in hallway stairs, had to use rear exit
