I visited the White Hart for three nights with my daughters when we were in the area doing college visits (double room). It was lovely in every way. The building itself is incredibly pretty, we were in room 2, facing the outside and it was great. We ate outside on the porch/patio for dinner two nights and it was gorgeous, great food & really nice service. Provisions is cute and tasty and a great amenity to have on site. Plenty of parking and overall really terrific stay. Highly recommend.
We had a great two day stay at the Inn in a king suite in room 9, which is on the second floor of the main building. The room was quiet, comfortable, spacious and spotless, with one and a half bathrooms. The room rate included complimentary water and Harney and Sons Iced Tea in the room fridge and a nice breakfast in White Hart Provisions downstairs. The staff at the Inn was most friendly and helpful, and the Inn also has a very nice dinner spot with outdoor dining on the patio open most days. Room 9 overlooks Under Mountain Road, which is less busy than Route 44 on the other side of the Inn. l
We had the pleasure of an amazing dinner from Provisions & drinks from the bar to sit on the porch after a hike. Buttermilk Chicken, mac & cheese, grilled corn, was so yummy. Service was great with positive attitudes. Will return!
I stayed in the King suite a few weeks ago. My directions chose to send me down Undermountain Road, which was not the best choice due to the darkness and wildlife on the road. Once I arrived, the person at the check-in desk cheerfully signed me in and walked me to my room. I appreciated this, as the room was tucked away down a hallway with several turns on the second floor. The lock is a physical lock, not card-activated, and the handle doesn't lock automatically. Inside the room, the suite had a sitting area which had enough room for a coach and not much else, though there was a half bath to the side. The main bedroom was quite spacious and had a four-poster bed with nightstands, chest of drawers, and chair with ottoman. Both room had about 40 inch flatscreen televisions, but the one in the bedroom was mounted on a side wall. All of the furniture looked rather dated, including the mattress. The room also needed a window-unit AC, which made a typical amount of noise. The bathroom was clean, bright, and well-appointed. It was also probably the best part about the room. The included breakfast was a breakfast pastry and coffee in the downstairs cafe. I took a ham and cheese croissant, which I enjoyed. I wasn't quite full afterward, however. I also walked through the common areas. It certainly seems like a good place to spend an evening, as there are two wet bars, one in the game room, one in a restaurant/lounge. The downstairs also has a few places to curl up and read that look cozy. At checkout, the daytime staff were also quite cheerful and helped me out with a couple of logistical things before I left. I tend to prefer modern accommodations, but given the ratings of this property and its proximity to Lime Rock, I decided to give it a spin. If you can devote the time to enjoy the common areas and large front porch, it's probably a worthwhile base to visit the Berkshires. If you just need somewhere to rest for a night, however, you'll probably find a better value elsewhere.…
My husband and 2 of our sons came up for the local skiing for a few days. This is our first time staying in an Inn and away since March 2020. Our stay has been just as warm and friendly as the person with who we made our reservation. The White Hart Inn is charming, beautifully designed, and maintained. Each pillow and fixture has been well thought out. The team here is super friendly and warm. They welcome you with a smile and are at hand to answer any questions and be helpful. We are already planning our next visit.
