Among the places we’ve stayed in Bali, Leging View is definitely I love the most. Here’s the top 3 reasons why (though there’s a lot more): 1st, Hospitality at its finest. The owner Budi and his wife are very accommodating, they extend their assistance to us in everything as much as possible. We got a good deal in renting the motor for 4 days because budi does the negotiations with owner and the striking one, is when he pick up our laundry on behalf of us. He noticed that my partner is not feeling well but we need to go out to get our laundry from the shop but he stop us and openly offer his assistance. Wow! Very kind person. Secondly, the scenic view of the mountain and rice terraces is just right in front of room. It’s very peaceful and pleasant in the eye and enjoy it more while drinking my Balinese coffee. lastly, very near to the tourist attraction, Leging View is just 6 minutes by walk to the beautiful Taman Tirtagangga Temple and 20 minutes by car to Lempuyang Temple and Ujung Palace. In addition to that, it’s just 45 minutes away by motor to Jasri beach and Virgin beach (my favorite) and to Tree house at Rumah Pohon. Leging View is definitely my fave and will be yours too once you choose this abode of peace.

Free from the disturbing noise of the City but not with the Nature Sound; place to call Home” We call Leging View “Home” because that’s the what the owner Budi and his wife make us feel, Home. He and his wife assisted us on their level best in everything possible. The beautiful lush and panoramic view of the mountain and rice terraces is just right in front of disturbing noise of the city but not with nature sound (bird chirping, Tree sounds, etc) which is a plus point because this what a city people are crave to hear, but of course not with a slight sleeper like me. And the best of all, this places is just 4-6 minutes away by walk to one of the Bali’s main attraction none other than the beautiful Taman Tirtagangga Temple and just 20 minutes away to Lempuyang Temple and Ujung Palace. This place is highly recommend specially to those who want to rest pleasantly.

Great view and really nice room. Even though it looks far from the main sightseeing, there is a shortcut that goes almost directly into the water palace. Great value for what it offers. Owner was really helpful and available for all kind of possible tours and activities around the area.

We stayed at Leging View for 3 nights in the cottage with a mezzanine. The best thing about the accommodation is its location. It is one of two cottages on a private property, the host and his family live in a house on the property too. The area is a village, houses, gardens, farms, with only a few small homestays. It is up the hill from Tirtagangga so the views across rice fields and mountains are stunning. If you are after tranquillity, being close to nature and being able to admire Bali's beauty, this is the place. For a refreshing swim, the Tirtagangga pools are about a 10 minute walk away. The walk was shaded by trees so we didn't get hot walking there and back. Budi, the host, was very friendly and helpful. The cottage itself was quite basic, but it is at the lower end of budget accommodation. There was a kitchenette in our cottage, but it was empty. The host did however provide us with the few things we asked for, such as mugs and a thermos of hot water. There was no air conditioning but it wasn't necessary as there was plenty of natural ventilation in the decorative bricks at the roofline. I actually liked not being dried out by airconditioning and enjoyed the fresh mountain air. The breakfasts were simple but tasty. My children loved the fresh juice and we all liked the fresh fruit, including some freshly picked from the host's family garden. Our favourite place to eat nearby was also owned by Budi's family. It is called Warung Rijasa and it is opposite the entrance to Tirtagangga. Very tasty home cooked food at a very reasonable price. We couldn't find signs to Leging view, but asked around at Tirtagangga. Budi's family at Warung Rijasa helped us contact him, and even guided us there. At the time, the number provided by booking.com was incorrect, and our booking information had not been sent to Budi from booking.com. In case that problem hasn't been fixed, his number is +6281338121056, and email legingview@yahoo.co.id We loved every minute of being in such a beautiful place and it was hard to leave to go back to the crowded tourist areas.

Tirta Ganga was one of the nicest places we went to in bali mainly because of the water palace. It's a small place with not a huge amount of places to stay it seemed so we were so happy when we found Leging. Good points - exceptional value - we paid 250,000 per night. After having a bad nights sleep the previous night we really wanted somewhere quiet with no chickens! This is was perfect, located on the hills it was peaceful and had amazing views of the rice paddys. There is not a pool but it is about a 10 minute walk directly to the water palace which has two amazing swimming pools plus loads of other water features. We went there two days in a row. It costs 10,000 to enter the grounds and another 10,000 if you want to swim. And finally the host Budi, a very nice helpful man who speaks very good English. He was extremely welcoming and not at all intrusive. He also took us on a 3 hour walk around the rice paddys and to the local villages. Bad points - the only thin I would say is that there is not much around the immediate area. There are restaurants near the water palace which is where we ate lunch and dinner, and there is a small warung next to the leging. That said , Budi was happy to take us up and down the hill on his moped if we needed. This place is a real gem. Thanks Budi! Jack

If you are looking for a lovely, peaceful homestay, where you can relax and enjoy the sound of singing birds waking you up in the morning and a stunning view on the valley with rice terraces on the other side: Leging View is your place for a true Bali-experience. There are 2 beautiful bungalows (hot/cold water) for a very reasonable price. Budi, the owner, is very relaxed and service oriented and will make you feel 'at home'. He also offers guiding tours to vulcano Gunung Agung and provides transport to other Bali destinations. Leging View is just a short walk from/to the Water Palace. There is a great restaurant next door (Pondok Batur Indah) with excellent food, and also homestay 'Rijasa' (opposite to the Water Palace entrance) serves lovely food (and often live-guitar sounds during the evening too!). You might like to treat yourself on a full body massage by a traditional Balinese Masseur i Made Putu Tungtang: this man is a genius! Contact Budi at legingview@yahoo.co.in for further information about his home stay, you won't regret it!
