This place is located in the middle of rice fields and situated about 30 minutes by shuttle transport to Ubud. The place is more suited to those that want some solitude rather than families or those that are looking for a good time. The restaurant has a magnificent view over the tropical forrest and a perfect place to while away the time. The restaurant offerings are okay and breakfast was ‘interesting’. I would recommend a short stay here - we did two days and it was a perfect way to ‘reset’. The shuttle into Ubud is convenient and allows you to explore the area easily. The yoga session by ‘yogi’ was really good especially the resting state meditation.

Garcia Ubud looks like a small boutique hotel, definitely not 4 or 5 star. The room: Moulding on the ceiling below AC area, you can hear neighbours' sound and people sound at the pool. When we came in, so many dusts on the furniture and lights, as well as the drinking bottles and cups. The worst thing is the new unused knife cutleries have leftover food stains and very dirty (unwashed look), we experienced that 2x, once during in room dining last night and this morning at the breakfast area. The other thing: so many mould and stains on chair fabric in the room, pool lounges and bed linen. MANAGER & OWNER PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THESE. I and my husband feel very disappointed, the price value really doesn't worth it. Overpriced and overated. I hope you can fix these problems so another guests won't feel disappointed like us. Good luck Garcia, I really wanted to love it but I can't for now. Good thing: food served for breakfast was pretty good enough, but we didn't enjoy the food last night during in-room dining.…

The Garcia is a gorgeous boutique resort with fabulous service, the staff cannot do enough to be helpful or friendly. We stayed in one of the Villa's and it's well worth the extra cost, there is one main building with the normal accommodation rooms and the balcony's looked small. The villa is incredible with it's own pool and view over the rice paddy. Great size, amazing indoor/outdoor bathroom and excellent WiFi. They run a daily complimentary shuttle service into Ubud. Couple of things to keep in mind, when we stayed there was no gift/lobby shop and there is nothing immediately outside the hotel and the mini bars are empty so bring your own snacks. The only food option is the one restaurant (with room service) and the food is the best I've had in Asia. Had a great couples massage but the spa is a little dated and could do with some love. I Stayed here for 1 night to celebrate my babymoon trip, but this resort is recommended for all travellers. The hotel has a huge pool, good restaurant and spa. The room was spacious and nice, the view from the balcony are amazing. The trainee staff named Yumi was very helpful since I came to the lobby, smooth check in and polite. She even escourt me and my husband to the room, she explain the hotel facility and the room amenities completely. She so much deserved to be appreciated, she's so professional, definitely will come back for the hotel facility and great the hospitality even from the trainee staff. Thank you Yumi. You are amazing and soon to be a great hotelier.

The best place to chill , unwind and relax! The place is soothing to the senses.. the people are lovely & attentive. Special mention goes to Didi & Ari who are always ready with their smiles and good service! The spa was fabulous! We also loved the breakfast spread! Lots of choices & different variety compared to the usual buffet offerings in other hotels where you dont really enjoy the food. Food was very good. We loved our stay and would gladly go back! You guys were the best! Also my daughter kept raving about meditation master Yogi who was very patient. 5 stars & so much more! Thank you very much for making my birthday memorable!

Beautiful villa with nice design, we love the lamp on centre of the ceiling. That private pool also superb and facing the rice fields making the view by the pool side more relaxing and laid back. Room is clean and well-maintained. We loved their huge bathtub that can fit both me and my partner. The rain shower gives you forest shower feels while hearing the sound of the pool splashes and some birds singing. All their staff we're very helpful, friendly and polite especially during the breakfast. Breakfast food is delicious as well, balanced and wide variety of options from breakfast asian style to western and healthier options. You can ask refill of their drinks few times without charging you extra. We had the strong feeling of being at home and like don't wanna leave this place anymore but we need to go back to our home country. We will definitely come back here in the future.…

As in May 2022, my daughter and I stayed in May 2023 again for 10 days at the beautiful Garcia Ubud Hotel & Resort; this time in villa number 1406. Our fantastic villa was again located directly on the rice field and the view of nature was unique. The service, the cleanliness and the friendliness of all the staff is outstanding. We would especially like to mention Synthia from the Ksuna Restaurant-Service, whom we have really grown fond of, and the friendly kitchen chef, who once even worked in Germany for a few months only 5 kilometres from our home in a very renowned restaurant/hotel. We can only recommend the Garcia Ubud and will certainly be happy to return there again! Klaus and Melanie

The hotel is clean and staff accommodating. The best encounter I have is with the yoga instructor and meditation guru YOGI. He had just started with Garcia 2 weeks ago but he was able to send happiness and great relaxation vibes in his meditation class. My Bali experience was made complete with his yoga meditation techniques. Thank you YOGI. Make sure you attend his daily classes!

The Garcia at Ubud... where to start! What a place! On arrival all the reception staff were welcoming and smiling, to the point we didnt know who to speak to first. The refreshing welcome drink helped with the Bali tropical heat. We booked through Booking.com on the same day as check in and was no problem and very reasonably priced. We were taken to our room and shown all the facilities along the way, the spa and pool are amazing and its a place you dont want to leave. To get a grab or a taxi from the hotel to take you anywhere in north Bali is really easy and they have a valet system so its easy enough to get to and from. A highly recommend booking with breakfast included as it cant be missed and sets you up for any day. The 24 hour room service is amazing as well, we were on our honeymoon so organised a bottle of prosecco and pizza well after 9pm and it was no problem for the staff to organise this. The staff also decorated our room and organised a cake for my wife and I to celebrate the honeymoon. Cant recommend The Garcia enough! A must stay in Ubud!…
