We stayed 1 week with my wife and we were delighted by the welcome attentions by the local team. Hotel building is a bit outdated but rooms are really good and refreshed. We changed of room during our stay as one of our girls joinded us and consequently moved to a suite. Suites are nice, I would recommend high floor on river side (7th floor ideally). We had rice plantations tours complimentary organized by the hotel and very nice to experience. Downtown Ubud is not that close (20 mn drive) but free shuttle bus from hotel is doing the job. True asset of this hotel is the staff, all and any of them are really welcoming people, anticipating customer needs to a high extend. I want to give a special kudo and thank you to Agunk Purwantini - reception manager - that was so kind, anticipative, professional, available and friendly that she put our stay at truely great satisfaction level. Hotel is not that modern, outside refreshment is a must but the nearby river location in middle of nature and the great staff make a difference. Thank you Sthala team.…
Lobby and bar area is lovely with amazing view and Indonesian/Balinese styling - the rooms and other parts of hotel starts to show its age but no issue at all with functionalities and cleanliness. Service was top notch - Wirta the manager was especially accommodating during our stay and so is everyone else at breakfast, reception, and spa. Spa room we got at the corner is absolutely beautiful and the facial and wrap we had was very relaxing. Some update to the rooms and facilities should fix the general aging condition but service was wonderful!
Quite nice hotel to stay with family & very good in services. Their have kids corner in the ground level. The food also acceptable. The room is very big but the air condition is not too friendly because it’s quite hard to adjust the temp. The readiness of the room is also problem in the early we check in perhaps during the holiday
This hotel is a beautiful little gem. I stayed here for 5 nights and this property has met my expectations. 1) Room has decent size and it’s clean. Plenty of space to put things. Bed is really comfy. I got a nice pool view as well which is nice. Wifi speed is great too, I he no issue doing Zoom call for occasional work calls. 2) Went to their spa & massage service, the room is super clean, aromatherapy smells really good too, and the staffs are friendly and professional. Although you can’t see their smile but you can easily tell their friendliness. 3) Sungai restaurants services also really good. I tried their Ayam Sambal Matah pizza which I never thought it exist, but it tasted good. Their smoothies are amazing! Definitely recommended. I love everything that this hotel has offered. Thank you Ms. Agung and team that made my stay during Ramadan memorable 😊…
The hotel is located in Ubud area, albeit not in Ubud center. The hotel starts to show its age (maybe because pandemic?). Was first given a room that faced the parking lot and was very noisy. I was given a new room upon my request to the FO. Pools beautiful, breakfast not bad, view of the river is gorgeous. As titanium member I was not provided an upgrade (not sure why, no explanation given), and it was the first time I didnt see any welcome card in the room. Staff were all terrific, helpful and eager to help.
