Ithaca is an hidden gem and this is one of the best places to be if you want to spend some time in this beautiful island. The infinity pool is very romantic, the villa is beautiful and there is free wifi (sometimes crashes but who needs constant WiFi in this places !!!), A/C, coffe machine etc. Important: to enjoy the island at its best and reach the beautiful beaches, you need a motorbike or a car (the owner Michaela organised for us motori renting and she also organised taxi and boat transport from Kefalionia ). Also the place is 24’ walk from the city centre which is not ideal especially over night because is a dark road , so definitely rent a scooter (better than a car if you need to visit remote beaches). Prices are good for the value and Michaela is always available. Strongly suggested !!!

We absolutely adored Villa Anna, it was so relaxing and peaceful set on the hillside surrounded by olive trees. We only went to the beach once during our stay because we loved the pool and patio so much! Our host Michaela was also incredibly welcoming and generous, thank you for everything.

We stayed in Villa Ana as the second part of our delayed honeymoon. It was perfect for two people - compact but comfortable inside, and an amazing pool. Whatever time of day it is, there is always somewhere in the sun and (just as importantly) somewhere in the shade. The views from the villa are just perfect, over Dexa bay. Lounging in the pool watching the yachts, listening to goat bells clanging in the distance is just about paradise. Watching the sunset over the hills across the bay is just so relaxing. Vathy is two minutes away by road (we hired a scooter), Dexa beach two minutes the other way. It's a steep hill to both, though. The water on the beach is beautifully clear and nice and warm. Vathy has loads of restaurants and a decent supermarket. Anywhere in Ithaca is within 30 minutes or so by car or scooter. The villa was cleaned every day, with fresh towels (including pool towels) and the pool was also cleaned daily and was very clean. Bottled water is replaced every day, and there was bread and butter and honey for us on arrival. Getting to Ithaca takes a bit of planning - the ferry from Sami (Cephalonia) runs twice daily and the schedule seems to become a little flexible as the days goes on. But ithaca as a whole is beautifully unspoilt, very quite away from Vathy (and even Vathy is hardly busy - more pleasantly bustling in the evenings). Michaela was very helpful arranging taxis to and from the ferry port, very welcoming and friendly. But the enduring memory of this holiday will be the amazing views from this villa, the seclusion, the peace and quiet and Lazing in the sea on Dexa beach.

We stayed at this lovely villa (Katerina) for 9 nights and wish it could have been longer; set on the side of a hill overlooking Dexia beach and the bay an amazing view, and 5 minutes by car to Vathy town perfect. When you arrive you are met by Michaela, who shows you around the villa and explains everything to you, which is great. There are also some basic provisions for you to start off with. Michaela is also very easy to contact by email or phone if you have any problems. The villa is all on one level with 2 large bedrooms both on suit an open plan kitchen lounge, with sofa tables and chairs. This opens onto a big covered patio with sofa, chairs, nice sun beds and a coffee table, both bedrooms also open onto the patio. The infinity pool is on the side as you come into the property with a patio and a small grassed area, very private and has the sun on it most of the day including the patio area, this also has sun beds a fixed sunshade some chairs and tables, so very well laid out and equipped. There are 2 other villas, one each side, but far enough away to not intrude on your privacy. The villa is cleaned every day, but at a sensible time so you can relax. As mentioned the view from the villa is amazing you're looking right over Dexia beach over the bay to the other side of Ithaca and can just see the location of the monastery on the hill. All day long there is plenty going on yatchs big and small in and out of Vathy. It's also a five minute drive to the beach below. The infinity pool is lovely looking at that amazing view, just the right size and not cold. Getting to the villa takes about 10-15 minutes drive from the port, turn off the main road before the petrol station. There is plenty of parking so no problems there: We had a great time here absolutely loved the villa and the peaceful location, spending as much time as we could around the lovely pool, we were very sad to leave. Wonderful place from which to explore the island! The villas are so comfortable - stayed in the Eurydice. Private, luxurious, excellent facilities, and had our own pool and a view second to none. Can highly recommend this as a place to stay! Set up on the hill and away from the hustle and bustle of Vathy, it is an excellent choice. Easy walk into Vathy and down to the beach below, and just as easy to get a taxi back to the villa (as it is quite a steep walk). Definitely ask Micaela about boat hire - that was well worth it.

There are 3 villas, each one with its own character! All of them have a fantastic view of the sea, the Dexa bay and the mountain of Ithaca! Especially in the afternoon, when the sun is going down the scene was unique! The villa are made of local stones, which gives them a special characteristic of Ithaca! The villa we stayed, was spacious, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room. Outside, there was a beautiful veranda and a nice swimming pool where you can swim and enjoy the magnificent view! Quietness and peace are characterize Eumaeus villas! Cleaning was each every day and it was excellent! Congratulations to Mihalitsa and Thodoris! For sightseeing and visiting the beaches of Ithaca, car or boat is prerequisite.

We had such a fantastic few days at this gorgeous villa. It was so comfortable, so beautiful, lovely flowers and the pool is heavenly. We had goats clattering about below us and the sails of yachts drifting along the coastline. Michaela and Teo are so helpful and even tracked down a jumper I had left in a taxi. Vathi may not be quite as picture perfect as Kioni but it is still beautiful, utterly charming, really genuine and the Greek folk jazz scene is full of local people. Filiatro beach is beautiful and renting a boat lot of fun! If I had a tiny issue it is that the breakfast is not a full on fruit yogurt and fresh bread affair, just sliced bread to toast and butter and jam in little packs. Thank you for a lively stay. Hope we'll be back!

I think that the fact that we have gone back 3 times probably tells you all you need to know. The Villa has great views and was very comfortable inside and out with lovely terrace and pool area. It is owned and looked after by Michaela and Theo with great care and attention to detail. They are also very friendly and always happy to help - the perfect hosts. Ithaca is stunning with breathtaking beaches and views and the water is perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Out third visit definitely wont be our last.

We stayed here in July and it was fantastic. When we first arrived and descended down to the villa Anna..we were sold. Completely beautiful views which we could look at at day and night.. The villa was charming, well equipped, spotlessly clean and romantic. Two balconies with seating for breakfast and sunset drinks, and a very welcome infinity pool looking down to Dexia bay. The house was cleaned every day with clean sheets, towels and the pool also. We have been to Ithaka before and Kefalonia and can say this is a special place to visit. Our hosts where professional and relaxed. Definitely will be back next year. Vathy is cool, but a bit more commercial than we expected. Beautiful Island beautiful house *****
