The Alicelia Boutique Inn is a collection of high class rooms for rent, housed in a newly restored building of Venetian architecture dating back to 1810. Located in the main port of Ithaca at the center of Vathy, this resort combines both the scenic area of the Homeric Poems, and the standard Boutique styling, to provide you accommodation, with the most relaxing holidays. The rooms furniture is albeit well maintained, aged, purposely chosen for the Alicelia Boutique Inn to create a warm, vintage feeling for any who choose to spent their holidays in Ithaca. The romantic atmosphere, as well as the traditional architecture combining wood and stone has been preciously preserved and is currently one of our main attractions.

What a wonderful find! With a looming cyclone storm we were very very lucky to find a family room at this fun boutique inn. We had a beautifully furnished room with deep stone walls a four poster and stairs to a mezzanine gallery where my 30 daughter slept in a pretty attic type light room. It was a few streets back from the sea front but v easy walk to town and restaurants. The pretty little courtyard bar covered in beautiful Bougainvillaea was ravished by the storm but as the owner valiantly said would grow back ! We were wam safe and dry inside so no problem to us to ride out the storm in romantic candlelight and comfort. We wish them all well on the island with the recovery & would definitely return there and highly recommend it.

Great little boutique hotel just behind the main street. The rooms are beautifully done with a modern bathroom. The location is fantastic, just behind the main street where all the great restaurants are. There is a lovely sitting area in the courtyard.

We stayed in Alicelia Inn during September 2019. There is nothing wrong with the room, or the bathroom it was clean, tidy, well maintained, the bed was ok but not as comfortable as people have said (in my opinion) There were some pro's and con's to this stay: Room: because of the high ceilings the room kept itself quite cool. it is decorated to a high standard clean and tidy However, there was only a coffee machine no kettle to boil water if you are in a room on the road side, there is quite a bit of road side noise through the night, its not a main road, but a through back road, which has noisy scooters, cars and a neighbouring dog that barked quite a bit through the night, plus the neighbours with the metal gate, used to come back late and bang that gate which was disturbing. I'm not saying it was a bad place to stay, we enjoyed it, but it had its moments, especially when it was quite and your just falling asleep and the dog barks or the traffic comes shooting by................we found it some what frustrating and so in hinesight we maybe should not have booked here...............it was our choice to stay here so its our fault. The lady that ran the place, was very pleasant and polite and actually really helpful organising a taxi, though the hotel did charge me twice and have to credit my account, which is also somewhat annoying!

I visited the island of Ithaca and stayed at the beautiful Alicelia Boutique Inn! What a nice hotel, what a beautiful designer's decoration, what a nice atmosphere!! Its garden is a lovely place to relax and sspend the evenings with your friends! The service unique and the lady owner very sweet and polite, willing to please her customers. The cleanliness of the hotel impressed me the most and also its position which enables you to move around the city of Vathi just walking!!! I suggest it 1000%!!

Alicelia is a really lovely looking hotel with beautifully decorated rooms but it does have a few shortcomings. We stayed here with my father-in-law, he was in a downstairs street facing room and we were in a first floor courtyard facing room. With both rooms opening the shutters meant people could look straight in so most of the time we'd need to keep the shutters closed to have any privacy. This resulted in the rooms being a bit dark. Other niggles included; No bracket for shower head - hand held only Top sheet left folded on bed each day - we had to make the bed Limited tea selection which was not replenished so we ran out The courtyard is really lovely so it is a shame no drinks or snacks are served there. We got the feeling that as the season was coming to an end everyone was a bit jaded and service suffered a bit. I am not sure if they ever serve breakfast in the courtyard, older reviews mention it, but it's a pity that wasn't an option when we were there. I'm being super critical especially considering the price. The hotel is clean and stylish and in a good location and sorting out a few of the minor things I mentioned would have made quite a difference.

We have been staying in Frikes for two weeks and spontaneously decided to have an overnight in Vathy, and literally found this little boutique hotel on booking.com whilst on Polis beach in the morning. We booked on line for the same day and arrived early evening to find Vasou waiting for us. She was extremely welcoming and proud of her hotel, as she should be, it is stunning , with a beautiful courtyard walled garden to sit and chill. We were booked into a ground floor room to the rear of the property, which was cool, clean, spacious and had lovely furniture. The shower room was huge with a walk in shower cubicle, and the bed was a coco-mat, which is the comfiest thing my husband and I have ever slept on. Gorgeous feather pillows..... We would not hesitate to return if we came back to Vathy

Greece is very different than any other country i ever got to visit. their sense of time and life is quite unique and this is what attracts me the most and brings me to greece as soon as i can. it brings me back to life. Vassos is the kindest person and the way she takes care of the hotel and her guests, is same as she would do with her relatives and friends. her hotel is cute comfortable, clean and peaceful. if contains all you might need. strongly recommended to get you back in the real life.

We arrived in Vathi looking for a one night stay in early September. We bumped into another British tourist who recommended this place as he was staying there. At this last minute we were given what appeared to be the last remaining room of the nine. The room did not have a very good outlook having a shuttered window onto a courtyard. The room stylish and with plenty of storage place for clothes. Also a fridge in the room.Well furnished and equipped bathroom as befitted a boutique hotel. No personal balcony or patio but the enclosed walled garden was comfortably furnished The host was excellent. No breakfast provided although the garden appeared to have catering equipment. If we decided to stay again in Vathy for any length of time we would request an upper room with better outlook.

Alicelia boutique hotel was the perfect place to stay on the magical island of Ithaca. Thankfully this perfect little island has not been taken over by large soulless hotels. I stayed in one of the downstairs rooms right on the road. It was quiet and very quaint with its beautiful stone walls and comfortable furnishings. Whilst there was no balcony, there is a large beautiful courtyard, a lovely space for a drink or to relax with a good book. There is also plenty of room to hang wet towels and clothes if needed. Vaso, the owner was pleasant, helpful and informative. The hotel is a short walk from Vathy port with its many restaurants and shops. The place is not 5 star luxury, but offers much to feel at home.

We stayed in this hotel with some friends and found it to be a perfect spot for us being not that far from the main cafes and nightlife of the port. This maisonette style hotel was a great spot for us to come back to after travelling around the island with very helpful staff.
