Charming is the absolutely perfect way of describing this lovely small hotel. It is a friendly place to stay, right in the heart of Ithaca, staff was caring and discreet. I loved the free bicycles! A tiny garden-yard next to the hotel is just the perfect place to sip a morning coffee.

I stayed at Hotel Familia for two nights during June 2013. Everything about this beautifully-kept hotel exceeded my expectations. The building is a carefully and tastefully renovated stone olive mill, with original features preserved throughout. The decor has a traditional feel, although clean and modern. There are seven rooms, each named after a member of the family. I stayed in...

Τhe hotel was great! It was elegantly decorated and ideally situated in the heart of Vathi, Ithaca. There was a combination of iron and stone with gave away its origin, as it was an old oil refinery transformed into a boutique hotel. The facilities were good enough. There were even bikes to be used for free! However, if the lovely...

Hotel Familia provided us with the perfect holiday getaway. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast, clean and tasteful rooms. The hotel has a very unique atmosphere with the fusion of old and new. We had a very nice time. I recommend the rooms in the roof! We loved the family-atmosphere.

We stayed here for 2 nights and fell in love with Hotel Familia and Ithaka. We loved the building and the history, the original features infused with modern designer furniture, the modern bathroom, the lovely bed, tasty breakfast and lastly the family who run the B&B. It is a special place which we hope to return to soon and would...

A converted olive press, the building has been rennovated into a small number of beautiful guest rooms. The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Vathy, Ithaki's main town and it offers free bikes for rides on the waterfront. Breakfast was one of the best we've had in Greece, with fresh eggs cooked in a different way every day,...

There are words in all languages that are difficult to be translated. One of the them is the Greek word "Meraki": it's definition includes the elements of caring, attention to detail, service, wholeheartedness, consistency, fun. And all these elements are present in their highest form at the Familia hotel in Ithaca. Staying in this hotel is a unique experience. Its...

One week in here and I didnt want to leave. This hotel has been so welcoming and warm towards myself and my family. The staff is very friendly; excellent breakfast; extremely clean rooms; perfect location (right in the center). When I decide to come again next year I will be sure to book this months ahead.
