Trean House was everything we could've wished for! A cosy and absolutely gorgeous place away from busy everyday life. Surrounded by nature, the B&B gives you that lovely feeling of being away from everything, even though you're literally only 15 min away from the next village! Which allows you to easily go out for dinner without having to drive for...

If you could bottle the essence of Ireland... Trean House B&B would be the result! As we drove down the driveway to the characterful 100 year old house, we were surrounded by apple trees and colourful flowers. Finn, a gorgeous red setter, ran to greet us with enthusiasm and Joyce, our lovely hostess, welcomed us with a cuppa and some...

Absolutely beautiful! I visited The Trean House with my family four years ago and always wanted to go back. Thank you Joyce for everything! I loved seeing Spike and Finn again. Mary Anne Maher, Rockaway Beach, NY

Location set in beautiful surroundings - so very peaceful & quiet - Joyce was an excellent hostess and the attention to detail in the room was second to none - and the greeting from the dogs was the icing on the cake! Lovely place and will definitely be back :)

Our party consisted of an 11-year-old, a 51-year-old, and a 73-year-old (all female). We found Trean House rather late in the day, but Joyce left a note for me on the door, and made us very welcome. It was clean, comfortable, and gracious. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We just wish the weather had been a little nicer, so we...

We stayed 3 nights along with our 2 21 year old nieces. We were looking for a place to spend some quiet days before heading back to Dublin and we certainly found it. Joyce and Mervin were perfect hosts. Mervin showed the girls around his beautiful sheep farm and gardens. Joyce prepared wonderful breakfasts and surprised me with one of...

Remote but GPS took us right to the house where we were met by a very welcoming host. Setting is a pristine house surrounded by fragrant flowers that filled my senses as I exited the car. Place is perfectly kept; the yard, apple trees and the house. This working sheep farm comes with incredible views of the sea. It's on...

The Trean House is a local institution & a resource. The establishment was awarded the honor of being the best Farmhouse B&B in Ireland in 2016. It deserves this honor. It's quiet. The hosts are attentive without being intrusive. The location can't be beat - a five minute walk to a quiet but spectacular beach. The area is simply beautiful....

We loved the Trean House. When we came across this property - we were excited to make a reservation however, they were fully booked for the nights we had available. We decided to re-arrange our entire itinerary so we could stay here for one night. Well, it was an excellent decision because this place was worth it in every way!...

Very friendly welcome, lovely sitting room where Joyce served tea and apple tart and ice cream which was delicious. The room was nice and clean and tidy, and I was well looked after. Very quiet location, so peaceful, a real home from home.
