My family enjoyed a wonderful weekend at this very special B&B. We had all 5 rooms in the main house and each room was very nicely decorated, taking on a personality of its own. The Inn is beautiful, filled with charm & history. It’s impeccably decorated by the owner, and kept so

We took my mom to the tea they hold in the summer. It’s pretty inside and the owner is pleasant. We did have reservations which you have to have in order to go to the tea. All of the teas available were explained. The tea sandwiches arrived which were nice but all of them contain

Response from DeaconTimothy, Owner at Deacon Timothy Pratt Bed & Breakfast

I’m sorry you did not have the experience you were expecting in July. I would have gladly accommodated your request for a refund at the time and hope you will contact me personally so that I may take care of it for you now. Even though you’re posting this review in November, it’s never “too late” to help right a wrong. As you know, our afternoon tea parties are private events booked by reservation. We happily accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences that we’re made aware of at the time of booking. Our pastry and sandwich chef uses fresh, seasonal ingredients in our unique sweet and savory creations for that day. We don’t have standard packaged or pre-made goods on hand. I’ve sent my contact information to you directly and sincerely hope that you will follow up so that I can process a credit for you.

Owner, Eileen, and staff (Melissa) were very warm and welcoming. Stayed in the Library room on the first floor. It was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Love this place and will definitely return in the near future.

Had an excellent time at the Deacon. When the owner, Eileen, heard we were coming in by train, she offered to pick us up at the station. The day we got there it was pouring rain, and she took us on an impromptu tour of the area even though she could have just dropped us off. We

Having stayed in the property in 2017. I knew while travelling from Philadelphia to Boston I should stop off for another few relaxing days.

Eileen has done some more work to the property since I last stayed and it is just wonderful.

I stayed in a delightful room at the front

We have stayed here SEVERAL TIMES All of the guest rooms we occupied had working locks! Clearly AHappyTraveler52 has given an erroneous review!
Thanks for your input. Yes, all the rooms have keys and we have a keypad on the entryway for our guests. Thanks for staying at The Deacon!

We have a 6 month old who is usually a good sleeper. Many of the reviews were couples so how "baby friendly" are you and is a first floor room available June5-7?
Hi. Keep in mind that it is a big old house, though, we did not travel with a lil one. There are 2 buildings so they could best tell you if or what rooms might be set, somewhat, alone. The downstairs room is but it is located right near the front door so coming/going guests might be an issue if your little one is very light sleeper. We did have a wonderful stay!!!
