We had a lovely stay at this charming old inn. Breakfast was delicious and served in a nice dining room with pretty china and linen table settings. The proprietor was well informed and helped us on our way to our next destination.

The Thoreau as it is located off the Keeping Room and near the kitchen and dining room is usually quiet. The Main Inn sits up close to the road so perhaps road traffic could be an issue if you are lite sleepers. Most of my guests have enjoyed staying in the Thoreau Room except for the fact of the road traffic. The Keeping room does not really gather much guests as all Tv's are located in the guest rooms. We look forward to you staying with us sometime soon. Kind Regards, Michael
