This hotel is easy to get to and is close to several restaurants/fast food places and stores such as Walmart. The room was clean and spacious. I had a room with two queens and it had plenty of room with a mini fridge and coffee maker. There was a small table as well where we ate snacks. The bathroom was clean and roomy as well. The only issue we had was that when we went to the pool there were no towels. We had to wait a bit to get them, but we did get them. The breakfast buffet had many options (yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, breads, pastries, juices, fruit, etc) and certainly anyone could find something to eat. The front desk staff was very friendly.

When we arrived in the evening, I was initially concerned. The garbage can was overflowing with garbage, and I instantly had a worried feeling about how our room was going to be. The girl working at the front desk seemed very overwhelmed and a little brief, but understandably because there were 2 sports teams staying at the hotel and there were kids hanging out in the lobby. The elevators were a bit slow, but once we got into our room my whole attitude changed. The room was GREAT. The bed was the most comfortable that I slept in during the whole week that we were away. The room was very big and incredibly clean. There was even a fan in the bathroom which most hotels seem to forget to add for some reason. I love the mirror in the room with the hanging hooks. The only issue we had was a few kids running the halls knocking on doors. But kids will be kids, I get it. We were hoping to beat the sports teams to breakfast and we must have hit it at the right time because it was not packed. The girls working there were working extremely hard to keep up with the demand and keeping everything stocked. I liked the fact that in the bread selection they had some French toast slices that could be put into the toaster, something different than the other hotels were at. The cinnamon rolls were right on par. Very nice check out, and I made sure to tell them how impressed I was with our room and the breakfast staff. The only thing I would recommend is that the area behind the front desk get cleaned out because it was all cluttered with stuff and was not something I normally see at check in. All in all it was a GREAT STAY and this seasoned traveler would stay here again (the garbage was gone when we checked out, the people on the bus were probably cleaning out the bus and instead of asking for a bag they tried to shove it all in the receptacle outside).

We often stay at Holiday Inn Express locations when traveling… this one was not as clean as expected… no face cloths in the bathroom… tissue dispenser was empty. The breakfast was as expected. There are restaurants and other businesses in the immediate area.

All the rooms have incredibly thin walls, making even the quietest conversation audible to the other guests. The breakfast is underwhelming and frankly gross, and there is no place in the hotel to purchase things such as snacks or toiletries. Almost all of my experiences with the staff were unpleasant, most of them involving rude tones and unaccommodating responses. Would not recommend staying here unless you enjoy bad hotels.

For the past 7 years this had been our home base while in CT visiting family. It has always been clean and quiet with really nice staff. Something changed this time. It felt like management had changed and not for the better. Staff barely acknowledged us, front desk sometimes never had anyone there, never asked how our stay was when we checked out. We were only there for the weekend so we didn't need our room cleaned so we asked for towels each day and twice they told us they were all out. The carpet in the hallways is filthy and smelled like smoke. Many times we smelled pot coming down the hallway. It also had a weird vibe like people were living there. I think we will try another hotel on our next visit.

Day one maid ignores do not disturb, Knocks on door 0845, we ask her to come back in a few, never comes back. Day 2, gone all day, no maid service. Night girl at desk says they are not a full service hotel. Really? We must sign up for housekeeping, covid you know. I sign up. Day 3, out all day, no maid service. Night girl at desk says she finds that hard to believe. I have to show her a picture! Really? It was busy, so she had to call us when she could get some towels. My wife had to pick up all the old towels and bring them down. She finally gives us soap and clean towles. Not the night clerks fault, but did not like her comment. Otherwise, the room itself is fine, the property is run down and filthy. It is a 2 star. I expect more from HI Express!

I was in and out several times over the weekend and only once was someone at the front desk. This hotel is on a VERY busy main road (more on that later) and for me it was a real safety concern - anyone can walk in and out without question. They wouldn't let me check in until exactly 3pm despite having many rooms available and being an IGH member. The room was surprisingly clean, but as other guests said the towels are more child size and paper thin.
Back to the road. My room was towards the middle of the hotel and most of the night I could still hear the drag racing (motorcycle and cars) going on down the street. It was hard to fall asleep. Also not helping my sleep was the smoke cloud (this is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel), but by midnight the hallway was filled with smoke and smelled strongly of weed. I called the front desk, she apologized and said she would send someone, but I didn't see or hear anything being done.
Once I finally fell asleep, I got woken up at 8:45am despite the DND sign, by housekeeping knocking on the door. Don't they have a better system to see who is still in their room rather than just knocking door to door?
I would not stay here again.

Holiday Inn Express has really gone downhill. Three days I told them no hand sanitizers by elevator. Still empty. Towels are at a premium and bath towels are VERY small and thin unless you are lucky to get a big one. Breakfast hours change like the wind. Depends on who you ask. Breakfast was always later than scheduled. Posted hours are all wrong. I even suggested they post the new hours. They never did. Some guests left without breakfast one day.
The staff is pleasant. I think you have to request room cleaning. We emptied our own trash pails. It was easier. We have to return to CT in Sept. Will look at other places to stay. We liked this place due to its location.

I had stayed here in August 2022 and everything was great .The staff was friendly and I had a room on 2nd floor which was very nice. I have since since stayed in October and December of 2022. Each time on the 1st floor. These rooms are beat, we struggled just to find outlets to charge our devices. The outlets existed but when ever we tried to plug something in out plugs would just fall out. Staff was unwelcoming and downright surly at times. Each of those visits (except August) we had to ask for towels we were told they were in the wash or they just plain didn't have any. We were able to get pool towels which were a lot like sand paper. What kind of hotel doesn't have towels? The hotel did not seem full from looking at the parking lot. I was told initially that I had to request housekeeping. Then when I requested it I was told they would come as long as I didn't have a sign on the door. When housekeeping did come they seemed to do a good job.(except for the towel issue) however, it was not with any regularity. I will say that the breakfast was decent . We go to CT frequently to see family, but I am not giving this hotel another chance.

This hotel is so bad that I can't believe a major brand like Holiday Inn Express puts their name on it. Why? 1. Filthy with stained, dirty carpets throughout, absolutely disgusting (see the photo). 2. Everything is old and worn out, the TV barely worked and had a 2008 manufacture date on it. 3. The key card system is so old that I had to get new cards every time I entered the room. 4. The shower operated like I imagine one in a bombed out war zone would work. 5. The couch in my room was so grungy that I wouldn't even put my luggage on it, much less sit on it. 6. The heating system barely worked and I was cold throughout the night. Holiday Inn, get your act together, this hotel is so bad that I'd give it negative stars if I could. Just horrible.
