I stayed here with my two sisters to honor our late mother's state of birth and relive memories of being brought up nearby. While it is certainly expensive and is billed as a "luxury resort," I would not agree that it was luxurious. Our room's floors were worn, the bathroom floor was dirty, the bathtub spouted rust and the pullout...

Winvian is a magical place that does not ever disappoint. The staff is exceptional, accommodations are amazing and food and spa are destinations themselves. You cannot be stressed here. There is no other place like Winvian. It is very special and we will keep coming back again and again.

We stayed in the helicopter room that was incredibly unique. the room was spacious, had a lovely porch area, fireplace, entertainment area, and sleeping quarters. The restaurant was outstanding with a great wine list. Community room was fun. Service was top notch.

The staff is still lovely and accommodating, but our cottage showed many signs of needed upkeep. Stained rugs, peeling paint, damaged wood around sinks, actual holes in our sheets! One would not tolerate these things in your own home, no less at $1000/night inn. The grounds are not as well kept, either. The restaurant cuisine is good not great. The...

we went with 3 couples for a special dinner celebration. The menu was limited as the restaurant only does about 50 to 70 meals a night. However everything that we ordered was wonderful. The lobster appetizer was surprisingly large as well as excellent. Most of us had the pekin duck and one had the halibut. Desserts were tasty but small....

Perfect place to spend a weekend in the country and be pampered. The private cottages are unique, the spa and restaurant are worth visiting on their own. The staff anticipates your every need. This was our first visit and won't be our last.

We spent a two-night couples getaway in the Industry cottage and loved it. Yes, it is pretty expensive, but you get a lot in terms of privacy, space, service, amenities, and absolutely outstanding food. I've paid similar prices in other locations and didn't get anything close to what we got at Winvian. Have dinner at the restaurant; three or four...

We had a very nice visit, but for the price expected it to be a more well oiled property. I have to agree with what some of the others have said about the cleanliness and workings of some of the features of the cottage. Our bathroom was old, we couldn't get the TV to work, and when we got back...

My wife and I spent a weekend in the Helicopter cottage, it was a birthday treat for her. On many levels I want to give a rating of 5 stars...but for the most expensive place I've ever stayed, it wasn't the most impressive place I've ever stayed. I booked the property about 5 weeks before we stayed. I have read...

This past July 4th was our first trip to Winvian. Our friends had stayed in the fall, and raved about their experience, so as a combination belated Mother's Day gift, and early birthday gift, we thought we would try it. We asked to arrive early, wanting to get the most out of our short stay. We were invited to come...
