I stayed here recently with some friends. We were on the island for a couple of days and this hotel was recommended. The room was compact, but I was only sleeping in it so it was just what was required. Tea and coffee in the room. The shower took a bit of working out, but that was down to me,...

We were in Millport for the day and had a lovely meal in this hotel. We were on a cycle and walk day for our friend who died with cancer. Staff were lovely, food fab. The portions where really big. The fish eat was lovely, also macaroni and natchos will definitely be back the next time we in Millport.

Good bar, reasonably priced and good selection of drinks, often have bands on at the weekend. Friendly bar staff and good atmosphere! Can get very busy! Plenty of seating and also does food. Central location in Millport. 😃

I arranged my son's birthday lunch at the Royal George by calling from China. They could not have been more helpful or friendly and the lunch was reportedly delicious. Go visit; I will be when I get back to Scotland

We booked at short notice and the staff were helpful. Our room was great with lovey views. We lay in bed and watched the sun rise up over the mainland hills. We have stayed here before and it is good value for money. It is not the Ritz but it is not trying to be.

They have old photos of the Island which are great. And the wee story about Elvis visiting many years ago is brilliant 😂😂 my friend totally believed it. Looking forward...

My wife and I went over to Millport for an overnight stay after enjoying a wedding in Largs. Millport is a lovely island with a lot more to do than some people may think. First impressions of the Royal George were of an old hotel which was being looked after. We checked in and were shown our room on an...

Firstly I need to say we booked this "hotel" because a family member had fond memories of Millport as a child. We choose the Royal George as it advertised a 3 room suite with"balcony". On arrival the disinterested girl in the reception "space" told us to go to the bar to check in. Arriving at the room we didn't know...
