We stayed here for a couple of nights in February. We used some Wyndham discount points, and the price still seemed high to some other Baymont Inns I had seen, but overall I thought we got fair value. Our room was nice, the space was fine, and everything worked well. The bed was comfy. Check in and check out were easy. The onsite restaurant has good food for dinner, and it also provides a to-go breakfast for guests from the hotel. From an aesthetic point of view, the hotel outside and its lobby are not the prettiest, and hallway smelled sometimes, but the room was great.

Room seemed fairly clean. Furniture was fairly new. Bathroom looked like it had never been upgraded since the place was built in 1985. Hot tub had sign saying " closed for cleaning" but per other reviews it probably hasn't worked in years. Elevator was loud. Inspection certificate posted in elevator expired two months before our visit. Slept well; could not hear other guests. Coffee maker that looked old did not work. Comfortable chair. Decent wifi.

Dear Guest We are very disheartened to read about your experience with us. While an apology will regrettably not alter the outcome of your experience on this occasion, we do extend it with all sincerity. We assure you that every bit of your concerns will be investigated diligently. This is not the kind of hospitality standard we have set for ourselves and going ahead, we will do all necessary course corrections at the earliest to ensure no other guest ever experiences the same. I hope you will forgive this error and the service that did not meet your expectations and give us another opportunity in the future to host you even better. Sincerely, Management Team

Service: Friendly, accommodating & quick

Cleanliness: Every area seemed perfectly clean

Furnishings & appearance: The hotel in general is only a couple of years away from not passing grade regarding this. Although clean, everything is just old, especially in the bathrooms. Definitely time for an upgrade.

Breakfast: Fresh and good. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, breads, fruit, juices & yogurt.

We had no trouble finding this Inn, but we did have trouble finding the entrance, which is to the right...around the corner from the entryway. The staff was very friendly.

Our room, 113, was very clean but stuffy. After about 20 minutes, we realized the air conditioner was not working. We called the main desk, and no questions asked, they immediately gave us a new room with a working air conditioner!

Again, our room was very clean. We had 2 double beds....my husband, my grandson and I. There was a TV, micro, small fridge, coffee maker and plenty of outlets.

Because of Covid, the pool was closed and also the continental breakfast wasn't open. Instead we were given a bagged breakfast which we could take back to our room. There is also a full serve restaurant there, Flanagans at the Baymont Inn, with very reasonably priced breakfasts. So we bought the breakfasts and our server, Greg, gave us the bagged breakfasts to carry out! I loved Greg and if I could have, I would have brought him home with me. The restaurant wasn't very busy so he spent some time chatting with us and we felt like he was a long time friend. The next morning he remembered everything we told him and we chatted some more. This guy made our trip. He was so attentive. The breakfasts we ordered had huge servings and were delicious and reasonably priced. Thank you, Greg, for making our experience there so memorable. If we are ever in the area again, because of you, we will stay there again!

Decided to plan a trip to the casinos for a night. I refused to pay the rate the casinos want to charge so I looked for hotels in the surrounding area when I found this place. Glad I found it! Yes it's an older hotel and a little outdated but our room was clean and very large. The hot tub was down but I wouldn't have used it anyway. The heated pool was great, we got back from the casino about 10 and the pool was closed but the staff was so nice and let us use it anyway. The breakfast buffet is limited but you can eat all you want and it's free. I highly recommend, for the price it's a great place to stay and it's only 8 miles away from the casinos and $150 cheaper.

We stayed here while traveling thru the area. The front doors are on the side of the building. I walk in and walk up to the front desk. An employee walks up and just says "checking in". No greeting or anything. I replied yes and handed her my License and Credit Card. She handed them back with 2 room keys and just said "here you go". I had to ask about my room number and the location of elevators. The room is starting to show its age but was clean. There wasn't any breakfast instruction given to me or explained in the lobby. You have to go into Flanagan's and find an employee and give the secret phrase " I'm here for the grab and go breakfast". They will seat you and charge you for breakfast if you don't say it right.

I've never felt so ripped off by a hotel before. The pool was freezing, small, and mediocre. The hot tub was broken. The room was small and average at best. The air didn't work well. The property clearly had maintenance issues. The only decent thing was the hot breakfast we paid for at the on site restaurant (their complimentary breakfast was just a grab and go bag). I paid over $200 for one night so I was expecting more. Then I was billed over $250. When I called to inquire why, the woman was condescending and told me it was CT tax. When I calmly explained that they really should include this amount in the form you sign at check in, her response was "I've worked here 4 years and I've never once had any one call and complain." I find that hard to believe, but I just said "ok bye" and hung up so I wasn't engaging. Clearly they also need to work on their customer service.

I reserved a room with a king bed via hotels.com for a one night stay. Arrived and checked into the room. The room was on the first floor. Upon entering the room we discovered the window to not have curtains and the AC not working properly. Upon bringing this to the attention of the front desk we were given another room. They didn't have any king bed rooms left so we were stuck in a room with double (full size) beds. Our shower/tub was dirty. The hallways of the hotel smelled of bleach. The pictures on the hotel website as well as the third party booking sites were extremely misleading. Beds hard and uncomfortable. The heated indoor pool was incredibly freezing and my daughter was hugely disappointed as she was looking forward to enjoying it. The hot tub was out of order, the gym appearance was laughable and the treadmill looked like they took it out of a city dump and put it in their gym. I feel incredibly ripped off based on what I paid (over $200) and will never ever stay there again.

We had mixed up the sate of our stay when we booked it online. We arrived a day later than expected. The staff was gracious enough to find us another room on a holiday weekend preventing what could have been a very stressful situation. They were especially accomodating.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Its close to shopping and The Navy Sub base. Great staff, clean, family friendly. We also had the best margaritas at Flanagans. Which is the restaurant inside the hotel. Our room had everything we needed, small refrigerator, microwave, iron and hair dryer. We will definitely stay there again.
