I have an enormous family devoted to getting together every other summer. It was my turn to host this year (summer of 2016) and finding an appropriate venue was a big challenge. When my son and I walked into the Woodspur Lodge a year before the event date, we knew we had landed in the perfect spot for our gang....

We had such a great time! The staff was awesome, very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds were super comfortable. They have communal dining so we got to meet so many nice people, plus the food was great!! Definitely the place to stay to relax and enjoy time with the family. -Peter & Jackie-

We traditionally have stayed at mountainside ski on-ski off lodging (condominiums) for the ease of moving kids on and off the slopes. As such accomodations were sold out for our two-day trip to Winterpark, we decided to go for the classic ski lodge experience. What a great decision! We were at the Woodspur for two days at the end of...

We spent a wonderful week with 16 family members over New Years at the Woodspur lodge. We keep coming back because it truly feels like a home away from home. Actually, it's even better than home because someone ELSE plans, prepares and cleans up the meals. Some years the food has been 5 star excellent and other years it has...

This is a lodge from the 70's. It has a great cozy feel that's rustic around the edges. It's comforting after being in the snow all day to come back to a warm fire, a hot drink and snacks. What's even better is that everyone wears what is comfortable and hangs out together in the great room reading, playing games,...

We had the most amazing experience at the lodge! Our kids spent the whole weekend playing games, NOT on a device, rather actual board games :) They went sledding right out front of the lodge and built snow forts! Our room was perfect, one queen bed, that offered some privacy, and bunk beds for the kids. The bathroom and room...

Staying at the Woodspur was an "experience" for us. I say that because it was different than any other place we have ever taken our family to stay. We found the Woodspur because we traveled with a group and some of the members knew Jeannine and Jimmy and had stayed here before. We really didn't know what to expect but...

We have a family rule that we never go back to same place twice as it's a big world with lots of places to see, but after a great holiday at Woodspur last year, we all agreed to break our rule and go back. Glad that we did - it was like coming home. After 10 minutes at the lodge,...

We just got back from Winter Park, Colorado and had yet another great stay at Woodspur Lodge! This is our 4th trip to Woodspur and as always, it was a fantastic trip! We ask our kids each time we plan a ski trip if they want to try a new resort in Colorado and they always say they want to...

We just returned from Woodspur Lodge and our kids can't wait to go back next year!! This was our fourth trip to the Lodge and the kids don't ask to go skiing or to Winter Park, they ask to return to Woodspur. It is a great family environment where the kids have freedom to play while the parents can socialize....
