We stayed for three nights. As I made my reservations from across the country, I was a little apprehensive at first, the town is a little run down and the hotel is run a little different than the norm. However, before my second day, I was completely charmed and in love with Victor and the Victor Hotel. The hotel was... More

The Victor hotel has tried to keep as much original as possible. It is very quaint with antique furniture and beautiful views. Close to Cripple Creek Colorado which has several small western style casinos.

We loved the decor, the birdcage elevator, and Julian, the only employee we met, who took care of our every need, including bringing us a light dinner to our room. Beds were comfy, room frig a plus, and best exhaust fan in a hotel in a long time. The bath sink was in bad repair, and the room was really... More

Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at the Victor Hotel. The hotel has come under new ownership and plan on making some investments in the hotel. The bathroom sinks although vintage and charming have been identified as needing changed and a plan has been made. Once again thank you for your stay at... More

Three of us stayed one night in 3 different rooms and found them to be spacious, lovely and comfortable. The hotel has a new owner who has many plans for improvement while keeping the historic look and feel intact although the hotel is wonderful as is. The views from the rooms are spectacular and there is good restaurant on the... More

We stayed for one night at this hotel, and it was very nice. Lots of historic charm. We never saw anyone at the front desk and our key was left with a sign to 'get it out of the vault'. When we left there was also no one at the desk. Fortunately we did not have any problems or I... More

Wanted to get away in the country for a day so went to Victor for the day. Lots of exploring of Mines, and an Ag and mining Museum nearby. After hiking around came to our Hotel where we met the new owner, Patrick, who gave us our keys. Nice small business feel instead of the 'Corporate' style of hotels. The elevator... More

What a cool historical hotel! Want peace and quiet? This is your place. From the moment I entered this beautiful Victorian lobby with an original bird cage elevator, I felt so comfortable. Its a very relaxing, and very homey atmosphere. I'm kind of an history geek, so sleeping in a building that is listed on the National Register of Historic... More

From a lodging perspective, the hotel was very clean. Not a lot of amenities but all the basics for a good night sleep or "ghost watch". 4th floor corner rooms are the way to go. They used to store dead bodies on the 4th floor in the winter time until the ground thawed enough in the Spring to bury them.... More

Thank you for the review. We at the historic Victor Hotel are working hard to make sure you have a quality stay. Thank you for drawing attention to the great history that this building has. Victor is an authentic Colorado mountain town relatively untouched (they still exist) by tourism. Come visit us before this great town is discovered. More

It is rare that I have occasion to give less than a 4-star review to a hotel where I have stayed, but I must be truthful about the Victor Hotel. A lot of this will have been covered in previous reviews which means it might be pretty common to a lot of visitors: GOOD THINGS: --The birdcage elevator is an... More

Thank you for the review. I am sorry if we missed the mark. The building and hotel have come under new ownership and have plans to make many changes. By any standard, Victor, Colorado, is a ghost town. The four-story Victor Hotel at the corner of 4th Street and Victor Avenue is the only overnight accommodation. Unlike its sister city, Cripple Creek, which is located seven miles up the road, Victor doesn't have any gambling casinos to attract tourists. Cripple Creek has a dozen of them. Victor has a...
