My husband and I were warmly greeted upon arrival and congratulated on celebrating our 12th anniversary. Our room was perfect. It had a common living area that was separated from the bedroom which allows my early riser husband to have coffee and read the paper without waking me. After settling in we were greeted with a bottle of champagne and...

This is a very nice property in the heart of Vail, with a decidedly Bavarian feel. The "rooms" are more like condominium units, some with two stories. The spa and workout room is great. The staff was very pleasant, and eager to be helpful.

Thank you for your comments. One of the characteristics that make Sonnenalp different is the variety of of room types. From beautiful and cozy room of a more standard size to a wide variety of smaller and large suites all the way to fully appointed multi-bedroom condominiums at One Willow Bridge. I am glad to read in your review that...

This was by far the best hotel I've stayed at in Colorado, and I've stayed at so many luxury resorts in the Vail Valley, Aspen and Telluride. Hands down, Sonnenalp wins! I will be back again & again! It has history, character, and the service was phenomenal! The staff here truly cares about your comfort & experience. The hotel was...

Every wonderful thing you hear about this Vail institution is true. Five star luxury, first class service and beautiful rooms. Location is the best. There are many lovely choices for lodging in Vail, but the character of this hotel is something to experience.

Staying at a top rated hotel on TripAdvisor always raises the bar of expectations, so its great when the experience lives up to the ranking! Ambiance, staff and amenities are all terrific. Ate at bully ranch 3x - all good food, service and friendly staff, as well as other guests!

There is no beating the Sonnenalp. I arrived at the lavish Bavarian hotel and was greeted by name by the more-than-friendly and accommodating staff. Me being not from the States, it was wonderful to see a hotel pursue a talented and diverse staff. My room was exquisite; I've never felt more spoiled in my life and I've never had a...

A perfect vacation spot with absolutely delightful amenities. We enjoyed a 3-day stay in a beautiful room with excellent amenities and loved our dining experiences at each of the Resort restaurants. Exquisite food and service! It was as if we were in the heart of the Bavarian Alps! Our Spa experience was so relaxing. Careful attention was given to my...

The Sonnenalp is the best in Vail for a reason. I've stayed at a few properties in the area and none compare. Not only is the hotel charming in its European feel, but the service is out of this world. The staff is professional, friendly, and seem to genuinely care about you. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, the food...

The Sonnenalp has been around the valley for a long time and is always ranked the best in Vail, and for a good reason! Their staff and attention to detail is exceptional. They are a family-owned property, so there are unique, speciality details that the big chain hotels just don't do. Their restaurants are superb, they have a world-class spa,...

Our family of 4 stayed at the Sonnenalp for a weekend getaway. From arrival to departure the service was amazing. We felt like we were in Austria or a beautiful mountain lodge in the Alps. The staff is international, helpful, and know and understand hospitality. The wide range of food and beverage options (fondue, burgers, beautiful breakfast buffet and fine...
