My 10-year-old daughter, 85-pound Labrador and I were "stranded" in Vail because of a mixup with United Airlines. We wanted to stay in Vail Village, but there are very few hotels in the actual village, and most don't allow dogs. When we walked into The Sebastian, the manager on duty, Victor Jovanov, came out from behind the desk and started...

Not only is this a full scale hotel with all the amenities, including pool, fitness room, restaurants(plural), great bar, and a children's game center near the breakfast dining room. The best feature besides the friendliness of the staff is the ski center. the ski staff takes all the concern of your equipment. the hotel has its own ski center within...

I was traveling with my 14 year old daughter who wanted to learn to ski. In advance of our arrival the concierge desk was very helpful and these interactions led me to have high expectations. The first room we were shown (the reservation was for 2 queens) was claustrophobic and dingy. I asked for a change and our present room...

The Sebastian is a good place to stay in Vail but I was a little bit under impressed. As often in the US with these type of resorts despite the word used to promote the place it's geared more the mass market than Asian or European counterparts. I would not consider it as a 5-star hotel it seems to be...

Dear Tuloup, Thank you for your review and for taking the time to give your feed back. It is clear that our initial contact with you was disappointing. This is not what we strive for, nor are focusing on "the mass market" so we clearly missed with our initial engagement with you. I would agree that the response should not...

My fiance and I chose The Sebastian Vail for our annual Christmas/New Years ski vacation after researching other luxury hotels in the Vail Village. We typically stay at Four Seasons resorts but were interested in trying a new brand and wanted a more personal boutique feel for the holidays. Overall, we were very pleased with our accommodations and the service...

We stayed in a suite of rooms which were all beautiful and comfortable. The staff were attentive but not overbearing. The Sebastian has a luxurious feel whilst remaining relaxed and unpretentious. We had our 7 year old with us who enjoyed the pool and craft activities each afternoon. Having storage at both key ski locations and at the hotel made...

We stayed at The Sebastian for a week of skiing from 2/18 to 2/25. We found the hotel through Amex's Fine Hotels and Resorts program and booked a "one bedroom executive suite". We had high expectations given the hotel's 5-star category, its belonging to the FH&R catalog, the emphasis on exceptional service in all the marketing and website material, and...

From pre-stay outreach by the concierge, to check-in, housekeeping and through departure... what a warm and wonderful staff on all levels! The hotel is a terrific property inside and out. Cozy and well-appointed public areas and rooms. We've stayed in a king room and also a 1-bedroom condo. Both very roomy in their category. The amenities and services are thoughtful...

Dear JudyOC949, Thank you for your review and very kind words about our concierge, front desk, housekeeping and food & beverage staff. Stayed here for a dental conference in February 2017. Upon check in we found our room (standard with two queen beds for which there was a $50 up charge a night, had never heard of that) was similar to a dungeon with one small window facing a wall, the bathrooms was average at best.no 5 star. We were paying $600...
