I don't know how anyone can review The Roost as when I was in Vail last March, 2015, it had been demolished the previous Fall. The ground at the end of March was a bare spot where the hotel had been. Locals said a new lodging will go up- on the site. It is a great, convenient location a short... More

This was a great deal for $70. Small but serviceable. 2 chairs, a table, a dresser, a closet and a tv. Queen wasn't listed on the Internet but staff gave us one on request. 1st floor, backside has the least highway noise. It is easy to find. The staff was very helpful. The jacuzzi felt great after hiking Vail mountain.... More

I had to stay here in between moving. It was the off season and I was a local and it was still expensive! The front desk agent really wasn't that friendly but what do you expect. The room was ok, definitely not what you expect from Vail. They did let my dog stay and there was plenty of parking. The... More

For a quick trip to Vail, Roost is your place. Easy shuttle pick-up/drop off to Vail Village is right in front of the lodge. If you like hanging out in your Hotel/Condo and like fancy places, this might not be for you. Rooms are small, simple but clean. I will stay again for an overnight trip!

We were attending a wedding on Vail Mountain and at the Four seasons and don't have a Vail budget for a real room, so we booked at the Roost. Good things . . . price, location, walking distance from several reasonable one of the employees. Bad things . . . no screen on window, no plugs for tub OR sink... More

I also wanted a tub bath and went to the grocery store a short walk away and bought a stopper. Problem solved. The town of Vail free bus made getting to the mountain a breeze. I stayed for a month and did most of my own cooking with the refrigerator and microwave I had requested when I reserved 6 months... More

No surprise this place is an iconic dump and it's price is good in a pinch.... But my room had only a space heater (what?)and when I called the front desk asking for a stopper for the tub the poor chap said, oh we've been asked before and we don't have one. C'est la vie at the Roost Lodge..it was... More

This place is very outdated - think 1970s carpet & comforters - literally! You hear I-70 throughout the night. The pluses: helpful staff, close to bus line, & free parking. If you really want to be in Vail but can't afford it like us, this is it... I really would have preferred to stay where we were our first two... More

If you need a warm bed in a great location in Vail but don't have much money to spend this is a great spot (truly the only place it stay in Vail if you're on a tight budget). It is located right on a free bus line that will take you to all the nearby restaurants, bars and, of course,... More
