The plus - The place seemed to be well equipped and look like it was renovated a while back, it is not brand new but in a good condition. My pool view room is comfortable and quite clean. It is just a short walk to Jomtien beach and main road with public transportation. Manager /staffs are very nice and super helpful The minus - The hotel is in a failed commercial complex, resulting in the surrounded building are abandoned and very dark at night. It would not be practical to take the baht bus and walk into the hotel, as extra vigilance might needed. The price of a taxi might offset the good price offered by hotel. So, guests must calculate if the overall expense is practical to you. On a side note, my keycard failed when I come back after 12.00 each day, and their front office are not always staffed late at night, so, make sure you come back to reset the keycard before going to a night party.…
Trying to locate the place at night was NOT easy. Even the local did not know it, the name is in English, and the unlighted sign did not help either. The hotel occupies a tiny fraction of a huge complex spanning over several blocks. The NOW hotel is the landmark and Maleewan is on the side road 100m from it. No issue whatsoever with my room and the lady at the front desk was most helpful. Stayed for 6 nights and the street is dead quiet at night.
We spent 5 days in this hotel with two children ( 2 and 6 years). The hotel is in a quiet side road off the beach front. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds. There are many local restaurants where you can eat nearby. 7eleven store is on the corner. Local buses stop at the end of the road. We didn’t used swimming pool, it’s small and we didn’t have the time. The breakfast is not includid in price, it was the bad side of this hotel.
Arrived and could not find booking, despite booking sheet and price disclosure could not give a price, said had to contact owner. Credit card machine not working and no secure parking as advertised. Cancelled booking.
The hotel is new and the rooms are white and clean however everything is tiny. Rooms are not size described, tiny. Pool is so small and murky that you can't swim, it's more like a fish pool certainly not a swimming pool. Mosquitos buzzing over it. View over pool consists of view of rubbish/building work of building next door which is attached. Noisy due to building work. Reception was hot so were corridors and bathroom full of mosquitos. Pay more and stay in a resort hotel not a boutique hotel. No staff spoke English, couldn't even call me a cab let along explain breakfast so I walked to new hotel up the road as I checked out within an hour of arriving. No English so he couldn't even try and resolve the issues, he just shook his head and said no English, what would of happened in an emergency, no explanation of fire escapes or anything, he couldn't translate. No refund so have complained to hotelier via accomodation provider due to incorrect description. I've been travelling in Thailand for several weeks now and stayed in loads of hotels/guesthouses on my travels and this was the first one where the description and reviews were wrong. I think owners must of changed recently. Shame. Good location near beach. Ten minutes up the beach however better beach and selection of restaurants, very limited by this hotel. …
