There are many reasons for this evaluation. But, let’s start with some of the positives. The lobby and entry seating area seems to have been recently refurbished in a mid-century modern style. There is also a nice new bar area and seating for food offered from a limited, but expensive menu that is available after 3pm. There is a double sided fireplace in this area with large screen TVs on both sides. However neither TVs were working during our three day stay. We did not eat there and I did not see anybody else eating so I cannot evaluate the food.

It goes down from there. We entered the lobby elevator which did not have carpet or other flooring and was very dirty. We had to get off on the second floor, again on dirty flooring and walk @100 feet to a second elevator in order to get to our section of the hotel where our room was located. The room was a tremendous disappointment. The bed was a mattress in a wooden frame, so very low to the floor. The furniture and headboard were made of corrugated board with holes like you would see in a 30 year old garage. The mini fridge was more than mini so that very little fit in it. While the flooring, sink and toilet had been redone, again it was very low quality and not attractive. The room had a Keurig coffee machine which they must have thought made the room seem better, but it was only good for coffee that was way too strong to drink. The coffee maker did not allow just water to go through so guests do not have access to boil water to make their own coffee, tea or hot chocolate. We did not use the pool or hot tub due to concerns regarding cleanliness.

We booked through the Wildwood website which for our dates was $299 per night. They did not inform while booking that there is a $25 daily resort fee, plus taxes and fees. When we told the manager that the cost for our room on Booking.com was $269 per night (not including taxes and fees), he would not honor their “best price guarantee.” We requested a “late checkout” which was 12pm. They obviously did not inform the cleaners because four people knocked on our door to come in and clean. One person just walked in and I was not dressed! Even though the location just above the Snowmass Mall is convenient, I would not stay there again and would advise others to find other lodging. Quite frankly, we thought this place was very low quality and service for the price charged. This room is now more than $100 per night, according to Trip Advisor. Do yourself a favor and find a better option.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a group trip and someone described it as "a glorified Motel 6". I would say that is a very accurate description. The hotel is in an excellent location right next to the slopes and Snowmass Mall but that is the only thing that it has going for it. There were so many things wrong during my stay that made it not enjoyable. First, the type of room I booked (1 king) was not available even though I received a confirmation so I had to settle for 2 double beds. The deadbolt on the door did not lock and neither did the safe deposit box. The carpets and plumbing fixtures in the room are dated and worn.

Possibly the worst experience I had though was on my first night the room above had a large party with 20+ people and was blasting music until 1am on a Sunday night. The front desk tried multiple times to get the party to stop, but eventually they just gave up and let them go late into the night. I would strongly caution any one looking at this place to think twice before booking.

Joined friends three weeks prior to their planned trip, this was the only room available .. we thought, ok Westin property , it can’t be all that bad and booked the room fir 5 nights . It was a nightmare … there was no bell boy , at check in , the receptionist did not a-quaint us with the property , usually at ski resort hotels, they tell you which floor the restaurant, spa, ski valet , hot tub etc. Is what services are complimentary etc. We had to ask each thing , even to get to our room . Her instructions were take first floor, then go down a corridor and take another elevator to the third floor ti our room . Once we took the elevator to the first floor , hauling our ski bags , etc , it opened out to an open corridor , freezing , dirty, slick with slushy water , after about a 100 yards there was an elevator, we took it to the third floor , once again we dragged our luggage , made two trips to the room .
The room was a disaster , there were loose electrical wires everywhere , the bedside lamps were not working, the telephone was not working , it was like Alaska in the room .. one of us had to go back down the two elevators to the reception ti tell them the phone was not working , nor was the heat in the room . She gave us a number you call from our personal phone each time we needed anything and that she would send someone out to fix the heat !! An electrician did come, poor guy really tried th ti what he could , he said the wiring was behind the bolted bed and he couldn’t do much for the phone or the lights! The heat board had crashed or something and he says he would bring up a new element if he could find one and fix it for us .. after four hours of checking in around 7 pm , he did find one and had the heat going for us .
Meanwhile my husband tried to call all the hotels around , there was no vacancy !Wildwood had no other rooms available either .. the manager promised to move us to another room three days later , offering us two day refund and dinner at their restaurant … I’ll be posting pictures of the room as well as the restaurant , the rooms above the restaurant must have had water leak or damage they had plastic pails in couple spots collecting the water !! It really creeped us out .
Our mistake was not to read the reviews prior to booking !!
One good thing about the place is location , at the village close to restaurants and shops and ski off ti lift .

The location is GREAT that’s about IT!!! The property is old and ran down ! Needs to be renovated like their sister property “ Viewline “. The heater barely worked and it was freezing like negative 2 at night time. The fridge didn’t work at all had to sit all our beverages outside to keep them cold and it actually worked because it was so cold out. The shower didn’t work at first had to get the heater engineer to rig that. The carpet didn’t appear to be vacuumed. The tv worked though. The lobby furnished was all dirty but the fireplace was on. Overall the stay was crappy but the location is great.
I will say David and this other guy was very helpful at times but Alondra so rude sat there and talked to her friends while she saw me waiting to speak to her about if my room was available

We booked online and paid $550.00 for two rooms for one night. At $275.00 a night, in Snowmass, it never occurred to us that it would resemble a Motel 6. The carpets smelled, there was no air conditioning (you couldn't even open the windows for air, because there were no screens on the windows), there were ants in the sink and a dead bug in the bathroom. After taking two elevators and walking around the hallways to our room with luggage at 10:00 pm, we had to reverse our steps to walk a block to their "sister" hotel in order to speak with someone. They was no one at the front desk at our hotel, and their sister hotel did not answer the phone. The sister hotel, The Viewline, was a beautiful hotel and more along the lines of what we thought we were getting. Fortunately, they gave us two rooms at this hotel as there was no way we were sleeping in that disgusting room at the Snowmass Inn. How do they charge $275 for terrible room, and $179 a night at the Viewline? I sent an email to the Snowmass Inn after our stay and have yet to hear back from them. While I am happy they resolved the issue, it was terribly inconvenient and at the end of the day, we spent almost $100 more per room than we would have had we booked at the Viewline. We never imagined that a hotel in Snowmass Village would be so substandard.

Absolutely horrible. Do not believe any of the pictures you see online about this place they are probably from 12 years ago. If you are staying during summer months or fall they do not have air conditioning and do not tell you about it until you arrive. Fortunately I only booked 1 night and we walked in our room and basically turned around and went to the front desk to ask for a refund. The guy at the front desk told us we were getting a refund but here I am writing a review 4 months later still with no refund. Unbelievable that they charge $230 for one night at this place. If you are looking for a cheaper place in Snowmass we recommend going to the mountain chalet. That place is way better and feels very welcoming.

I'm not sure we've ever had a more disgusting and disappointing stay any place in all of my years. For what we spent on this room, it was like throwing our money into a cesspool. The only redeeming value of the place was the outdoors atmosphere around the swimming pool. The room was nothing better than a worst case Motel 6 type of scenario. Nothing was plugged in when we arrived. The refrigerator was didn't work at all. There was only 1 single towel in the room. The drawers fell off and onto the floor when we opened them.

We got locked out of our room twice because they didn't program our key cards properly. There was literally NO front desk personnel. They were all at the upscale property a block away, so we had to call to be able to even check in at the property. I try to be fair when I leave a review of a property, and I'd like to be here, BUT, when there was so little good about it, it is hard to be fair. If you visit Snowmass, avoid this place if you possibly can. Spend a few extra dollars to get a place that is actually worthy of staying at. I'm sorry Wildwood, but your property ranks at the bottom of my list of the many places we've stayed at over the years.

No air conditioning that forces you to open non-screen windows on egress points to vent with supplied fan. 95 degrees in room forces you to leave windows open to possible intrusion. Management uses long extension cords for electrical on ceiling lights and bed stands. Illegal btw. Cover on baseboard heaters missing exposing heating elements. Open light socket with missing bulbs for heat lamp. Smoke/Co2 sensor laying on broken closet shelves. Pubic hairs and fake nail in corners of bathroom. Toilet plugged with just a tissue. Bathroom sink missing drain plug. All documented by pictures. Just a start on the mist disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

I recently (Sept 24-26, 2024) stayed at Wildwood Lodge in Snowmass, CO. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to several maintenance problems. Upon arrival, I discovered that the refrigerator in my room did not work, which was inconvenient as I had perishable items that needed to be kept cold. Additionally, there was no cold water in the bathroom, which made it difficult to take a comfortable shower.

Perhaps the most frustrating issue was that the toilet would not flush properly throughout my stay. I reported these problems to the front desk; however, they were not resolved during my stay. While the staff was friendly, I expected basic amenities to be in working order, especially given the price of the room.

I hope the hotel addresses these issues for future guests.

I found all of the Wildwood staff very kind and helpful. They helped with upgrading to a larger room, extra pillows/blankets for my kids, and problems with my key card. They were very respectful to me and my family. I encountered many entitled and arrogant hotel guests that seemed to be expecting this to be a 5 star hotel and were very rude to the staff.

This is definitely the most affordable place to stay at Snowmass, it's a great location to the ski slopes and restaurants/coffee shops. Our room was clean and warm. The beds and bedding is very comfortable. I could hear the people in the room above us so I turned on the fan that I found in the closet to drown out the noise. I'm happy to have stayed at this hotel instead of traveling to/from Carbondale.

Currently, the property does not offer AC but as it was mentioned prior we do provide complimentary fans in each room and also the rooms are equipped with screens. We do not falsely advertise this feature in any of the websites where our guests book our rooms.

The bus stop for local RFTA bus is nearby located and it takes nearly 3 minutes to get there from our hotel. We do recommend for our guests to use RFTA website for the latest news about public transportation.
