The Stonebridge is an older property that has been updated, and it's a great value in what is a very expensive area. The biggest positives were the location, the parking, the pool area, and the bar/restaurant. This is a slopeside hotel in a perfect location in Snowmass, about halfway up the hill to the mall. Walking distance to plenty of dining options. There was also very convenient bus access and free parking right across the street from the hotel. Check in is easy - luggage carts were available to get all our gear up to the room quickly. The pool area is very nice and super clean. We were there during COVID procedures and we were required to book time in advance, but it was actually really nice, as the pool was never crowded. The pool water is nice and warm, and the hot tubs are HUGE and so perfect, I bet it's great for after skiing. The pool area wsa constantly kept clean, we really enjoyed it. We made several trips to the bar in the lobby, they had great happy hour drink specials and a very nice patio for enjoying the beautiful weather with flowers and fire pits. The room itself was OK - it's an older property and you can only do so much to update this building. The king bed is comfortable but the sofa bed our kids slept on was absolutely horrible. Don't count on anyone over toddler age sleeping there. The bathroom was old but nice and clean. There's a fridge in the room. We were not bothered by the lack of AC, but please know it's very typical in the mountains. I'd stay here again, it's really a great value for what we paid.

The staff are always friendly and helpful at Stonebridge Inn. However our bathroom towels were dirty and smelled terrible. I hope the staff will read this and wash all towels or encourage patrons to leave dirty towels on the floor.

Stayed for 4 nights with a family of four for spring break skiing. Pros: location to the slopes - truly ski in and out and easy walk uphill or downhill to the Snowmass malls. Pool and hot tubs are well maintained, large and lovely. Cons: rooms are very dated, small and overall dark with some (i.e. nice shampoo/conditioners, humidifier provided, good set-up for leaving ski equipment in lockers and the entrance of room) but not all (i.e. useful trashcans, plates or silver ware, sufficient hooks or towels for 4 guests) amenities that make a ski hotel room work. Most disappointing was the reservation process was disorganized and ended up in a room we did not think we had booked and of smaller size than we wanted. The whole booking process required multiple call-backs to get a confirmation and was overall a poor experience. Actually being on the property was much better, but the staff seem exhausted and therefore, largely uninterested (or are not empowered) to assist. Overall, a great option to be slope side for a reasonable price point, but definitely not luxury.

This is a cozy place with friendly staff and great convenience. There are fancier places in Snowmass but for the price this is the best place to stay, ski, eat, drink and enjoy the mountain. The Artisan has a new chef that has nailed great food and reasonable prices.

Sometimes you get a deal and sometimes you get what you paid for. I guess for the area, I paid a good price, but the hotel was not worth it. I was on the ground floor in a dingy old room. The bathroom made me not want to take a shower and the whole space just felt old. The walls are super thin, I could hear other rooms all night. Due to COVID you have to make reservations for 1 hour at a time to use the pool, 24 hours in advance but you don't find this out until you arrive. I was able to get a one hour spot during my 2 night stay and did enjoy the hot pool. There is free parking in the summer but you are charged a 'resort' fee and this certainly felt nothing like a resort. I would not stay here again.

The hotel is clean but they don’t let you check in until 4:00 so I had to store my bags in their closet and sit by the pool all day waiting.

The restaurant had an extremely limited menu and unfortunately we were already sitting down so we couldn’t just leave. I would have gone somewhere else honestly. It wasn’t great.

Here’s the worst part: the room temperature. It is brutally hot during the summer even with the window open and the fan on. I was uncomfortable and being 7 months pregnant I felt like I was dying from the heat. I did read the other reviews and other people had the same complaint : it’s hot and the they were told no ac open the window . I guess the thermostats are just for show

I most likely wouldn’t recommend this hotel due to the outdated AC system and low quality expensive restaurant.

I requested housekeeping to change the sheets and get the garbage at 7:30 and nobody showed up.

Low quality service but expensive rooms. I’d go somewhere else. It’s not worth it

The service was good. Food at restaurant was not good. The first night I ordered a salad with grilled salmon. Salmon was good but there were several rotted lettuce leaves that I had to pick out. Next morning I ordered breakfast, which was ok. On 2nd night I ordered dinner - the beef was extremely tough, the brussel sprout was like rubber, the string beers were uncooked. All 3 items on plate was horrible. The cost with a glass of wine was over $50 and the food was not edible - I barely touched it, even though I was hungry. The hotel is in a great location but the rooms are very tired and dingy. Please get rid of the shower curtains in bathrooms. The beds are very uncomfortable. The rooms are very stuffy and my windows could not be opened fully to let in air. Based on previous reviews, I asked for a room cooler upfront but it was so noisy, I could not use it at nights and the ceiling fan made me stuffy. Service was good but more effort needs to be put into the quality provided to guests in rooms and restaurant.

We are finishing up a four day stay, and we can’t wait to come back. While the building itself is a bit dated, it’s probably the cleanest hotel room I’ve ever been in. So clean in fact I even soaked in the tub, which is not something I’m likely to do at a hotel, but I was on sleeping baby duty while mom was at the pool so you do what you have to LOL.
Stonebridge, like everywhere else in the world, but especially here in the mountains, is suffering from a lack of available employees, partly due to the utter lack of employee housing available in the area. Seemingly because of this some of the hours are a bit funky such as for the restaurant, but they make up for it with great service and friendly personnel. When you do get to the restaurant, you find they have a great selection of house made appetizers, delicious entree’s, and a great wine cellar and bar.

All that would be enough, but the VERY BEST part about this hotel is definitely the pool area and spa. A pool that is warm enough my two-year-old can swim in it all day in freezing temperatures, and two separate hot tubs, a smaller one that is a nice temperature, and then a much larger one that is the higher temperature tub were all amazing. In addition, inside the spa area there is a fantastic steam room, sauna, a great work out center with huge windows and a large locker room with spacious shower facilities. There is even a massage room where a massage therapist can schedule services for you. I don’t think you’ll find a better spa in the area at any hotel. It’s super nice inside and very clean. Plus they’re open until 10:00.

For the price paid, with all that, plus being 150 steps from Fanny hill, you absolutely cannot beat these accommodations in this area. You can walk out the door at 8:30, ski down and be on the chairlift at 8:35 long before the lines form at the base. Then just stay up on the mountain and mostly no more lines all day if you’re skiing the good stuff. This is the best.

I guess if I’m looking for something to gripe about, there is no microwave in the room which makes it pretty difficult to do anything other than eat at the restaurant for every meal, but then they’re not open all the time. Even if you enjoy the restaurant, which you probably will, sometimes you want to reheat the meal you had the night before or even warm up quick meals for the kids. This was the only downside we experienced during our stay. We have stayed in a few hotels in the area that didn’t have microwaves in every room, but at least they put one at the end of the hall or something like that. C’est la vie.

What is it with traveling post pandemic that businesses think they can shortchange guests? In addition to being run down and just plain gross it started at check in. We were told ‘we are only cleaning the rooms every 3rd day die to pandemic staff shortages’. What is this, a hostel? I would believe this if every hotel was experiencing this which they are not. So in a hot area like Aspen I find it hard to believe. Next when using the gym locker room facilities enjoying the sauna and shower it seemed to be unusually hot after while getting ready. Looking at the thermostat it was almost 80. I asked the front desk after this and I was told that due to a leak they keep the A/C off in the womens locker room. Really? Then their restaurant was closed half the week so there goes on site food. Additionally there was an access door with no lock at all. Anyone could enter the complex at anytime. Safety is not first for their guests. And the rooms…. Really was over looking at the rust and mold in the rooms bathroom and gross brown carpets. Just such a disappointment, do yourself a favor and spend a bit more.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback, and I am sorry to hear your expectations were not met. We are always looking to improve our guest experience, and I look forward to sharing your comments with our team so we can provide a more positive experience in the future. Staffing has continued to be extremely challenging in our industry and especially within our resort community. We hope that things will go back to normal for us soon. If you will be back in the Snowmass area again, we would appreciate the opportunity to turn around your impression of us.

I came here for a culinary and adventure tour. When we arrived, our room was not ready; and we missed our fist activity because we could not change for it. The cafe consistently changed their rules as to what our menu was supposed to include. The manager was not very nice, but the other cafe staff were very sweet. The beds are too firm, and the pillows offer no support. The rooms have no AC, so you depend on open windows for cooling the room down. The night time front desk was wonderful! Shout out to Andrew. All in all, if it’s the only place you can book and can suffer through some bad sleep… this place is for you! It’s in a wonderful location and has easy access to the busses. The busses by the way are free for seniors and up to Aspen, then cost depending on location (info the front desk didn’t have).

No pets was the word in March. I would certainly ask though in the off season there would be some slack???...there must be a nice boarding kennel nearby. It is a great area for amenities.

Hello - I am responding from the Stonebridge Inn team. Our property is located 50 yards from the slope. From our front door you turn left and walk to the ski run - located halfway between the Base Village and the Village Mall. From there you can ski down to either the Village Express Chair or the Elk Camp Gondola. Hope this helps!
