This is our 3rd stay at Wood Run Place and our second year in Unit 7. This unit is definitely in urgent need of a refurb. The floor in the kitchen has severe water damage which is causing the floor boards to come up causing a tripping hazard and is actually very spongy. The guest bedroom is directly under the kitchen and water damage is causing the ceiling to cave-in the spare bedroom. Front office said they were aware but didn’t offer any solutions. The kitchen is not well stocked - it seems like this has a been a vacation rental for years and there’s been no effort to modernize anything in the unit. The dishwasher doesn’t wash dishes well, so we fully hand washed the the dishes each day. Bedrooms do not have any ceiling lights and there are only a couple of lamps in each bedroom. We used our cell phone lights to adequately see at night. It has good bones and is very cozy, but is so outdated. Definitely no effort has been taken to make it a comfortable unit other than the bare minimum. The unit was very clean, but we did find THC capsules left over in the dryer. Great location for hiking, village mall and Base Village. Just very shocking how outdated and poor condition a Hyatt managed property can be. Not sure we’ll be back for a 4th year.

Property was good—but not exactly by the village. So we got shuttled to the village for food. The staff were spectacular in their service level. Our room was a bit dated, and the refrigerator kept buzzing all the time and was sitting on blocks—should be changed for 2200 dollar a night. Beds were old and soft. Should be changed as well. Otherwise, everything else was great.

Unit 24 is comfortable and nicely set up for 4 people.
Easy access to the slopes in winter and walking distance to both the villages in the summer.
The staff goes out of their way to help with any questions and is very familiar with restaurants, shops, etc. Their recommendations were spot on.

The only thing "newly renovated" about the Woodrun Place property is the furniture in the lobby. We stayed in unit #37 that is an "exceptional" unit and in the highest cost tier. The cost tier of this unit should be re-evaluated. A positive about this unit was the view and the ski in/ski out from your porch; thus, the reason for the 2 positive stars. Otherwise, this unit's decor is straight from the 1980's. Furnishings are old, dusty and dirty. Lighting is terrible.
The Wyndham property management was terrible and had a full array of excuses...
We did not have television service in our unit for the first 24 hours. After 3 calls to the front desk, it was finally fixed.
Numerous light bulbs were out and we were told they wouldn't be replaced until they did a "property sweep". Under counter kitchen lights were all out.
We had to call and request the "daily housekeeping" and were told we may have to wait until the next day because they had been so busy.
There are 3 full baths, not 2. Bathrooms were extremely tiny and the lighting was so old that current bulbs don't fit!
Toilets ran constantly.
Window seals so old that the wind blew right through.
Unit loud from the parking lot and the unit above.
Telephone message light constantly blinked. I was told by the front desk that technical support would have to reset it and they never did.
Snowmass was great. The skiing and village areas were top notch. If we return again, we will choose another property and a non-Wyndham property manager.

Hello, I am the new Property Manager for Woodrun Place, and I would like to apologize for my delayed response to your recent review regarding your stay here on our property. I recently obtained access to this Trip Advisor site, and I wanted to respond to the issues in your review. Having recently taken over this property, I want to know when and where there are deficiencies in both the property and our service standards. My hope for all the owners and guests who spend time here at Woodrun Place is that they enjoy their time here with friends and family. To begin with, I’m sorry that your personal taste differs from that of the unit owner – the owner likes western themes that celebrate the ranching history of Snowmass Village prior to the development of the ski area. We try to post accurate photos of interior unit decor for public viewing, so each guest has an understanding of the furnishings of each unit. I’m certainly happy you found the views and ski-in/ski-out access to your liking. The units we manage exhibit a wide range of interior design styles, from mountain rustic, to western ranching, to clean and modern lines. Inventory rents very quickly, and choices will, therefore, become limited over time. Should you decide to return for a future visit, we recommend that you search the website no later than May for units with modern furnishings that will be more to your liking. However, I have checked all housekeeping schedules and personally confirmed that we performed a deep seasonal cleaning just prior to the onset of winter season 2019-2020. Our Housekeeping staff conducts departure cleans, arrival cleans, mid-weeks, and daily housekeeping between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and later when required. I have checked our housekeeping logs and do see that your unit was serviced each day of your stay. If you would like to request housekeeping in your unit earlier in the day, we are more than happy to try to accommodate that for you. While I cannot guarantee you a specific time, we will always do everything we can to accommodate requests. While the issues with the T.V.’s in your unit was beyond our control, I do understand how frustrating that can be. When this issue was brought to my attention, I took the necessary steps to get this corrected immediately. As for the issues with the light bulbs and some of the information that was passed on to you by the staff, I completely understand why this was troubling. I do believe that we should have done a better job handling these details. I have instituted detailed performance and training measures to ensure these deficiencies are not repeated for any other guests. For these short comings, and any others for which you feel that our performance fell short of your expectations, I do apologize. I am available daily, so please feel free to reach out to me. I hope that when we talk, I can reassure you of this, and that you’ll give us the opportunity to earn your future business. Thank you, and safe travels.

This place is a dump.
We booked the Hyatt way in advance, confirming multiple times, including on the day of our arrival, that we would have 3 king beds. We were sent photos of a beautiful condo, and read great reviews.
When we checked in, the place was in bad shape, and we didn’t have the 3 king beds. One room had old shabby twin beds, one had a queen. No manager was on staff… all week. We waited an hour and a half for the resort staff to call a manager when we checked in, but they were unable to even look at other accommodations for us. It’s been two weeks and we still have not received a call or email back. The booking agent has ignored us.
The condition of the condo was in disrepair, and not something anyone should be expected to pay $9,000/ week for. The bed spread was torn, carpet was dirty and fraying, and windows were broken so you could not open them. A smashed cocktail glass was sitting in the middle of the drive and hit our tire- nobody was taking care of the grounds.
This place is in disrepair- they are just collecting checks.

You were advised that our reservations team had placed a request for your preferred bedding pending availability, but nothing was guaranteed. We were able to offer alternative accommodations, and communicated that to you on the first night of your stay, however, you declined to move. During your stay you were contacted by the properties General Manager, our Area Front Office Director, and several support staff to address your concerns. The single non functioning window and damaged bedding should have been corrected prior to your arrival and were not acceptable. We sincerely apologize that we were unable to meet your expectations. If I am fortunate enough to visit Snowmass again, I will definitely stay here. The most friendly, accommodating staff I have ever had! Anytime we needed a ride to the store, a restaurant, the airport, etc, they were immediately available. They went above and beyond to make our stay easy and stress free. Our condo was very clean and so close to everything. Awesome location with ski in / ski out.

This place fell short of any normal person's expectations as a luxury type rental. The heater did not work. Yes, it was cranked to 90 for 5 days, and it never hit over 74. It would hit 74 in the middle of the day when we left to ski. I was told without exception by their staff that the boiler room's capacity was at max and that our condo would never heat up. I had to make a fire every night, all night to keep people comfortable. We also had to run multiple space heaters that would constantly trip the electricity which resulted in us grinding the circuit breaker box. The towels were rough, cheap, and stinky. The main TV is on the fritz. It went out multiple times per day. The worst part of the whole experience is that the supervisor knew about it as did the property manager. This place is the last place I would ever recommend to anyone. I wish I could upload pics of broken tiles in the master shower or show you the internet cables impeding the use of the closets but oh well, you'll have to experience this for yourself if you are crazy enough to stay at this location. Terrible on all accounts!

We really had a wonderful trip to Snowmass and enjoyed staying at Woodrun. The ski-in/ski-out spot was perfect with kids. The rooms were spacious, the beds/towels perfectly fine and the fireplace was great as was the availability of firewood on site. The staff was super accommodating and met every request we had. We will definitely stay there on a return trip!

Murf and the young man at the front desk were so nice and helpful! We had to pay an additional 20% to secure getting this "deluxe" unit and were disappointed by its condition. The downstairs bathroom had missing tile, broken towel rack, all bathrooms had various colored light bulbs, worn carpet, we repaired a few of the window blinds to get them working properly. This unit could use some updating, although that did not affect our stay there, it was expensive for what it was. The paper card had a long written code that we had to use each time we entered, it would be easier to have a key or short code.

Friendly helpful staff. Like all accommodations at the base of Snowmass this is ski in and ski out. We are in state so we did not need local transportation but this resort offers local transportation around area on request which we used once. They also offer groceries delivered and stocked, airport transportation etc. our unit was spacious but dated

Thank you so much for you question. The main difference is between the dates that each specific condominium was renovated with new furniture, appliances, and decor. Therefore we had to create different tier systems to create the appropriate rates for those units. I hope that helped answer your questions. Warm Regards, Wes
Good Afternoon, we do have condominiums that could be considered more ski-in ski-our from you balcony door, however the rest of the units are just as accessible for skiing in and out. We also have a ski locker located at the ski out access part of the building for your convenience
Hi there,
Woodrun Place is on Wood Road right below Woodrun V. We are also located right on Fanny Hill.
Donna, we have a large variety of units all with different tiers of quality. Our cheapest rooms will not be recently remodeled and our top quality rooms are luxurious and renovated recently. But they all have spectacular views and are comfortable with Ski-In, Ski-Out access!
